Final Fantasy X: Chapter 13: Phase One

It’s been a week, since the Bevelle Annihalation. That’s what people have been calling it. Things were much more peaceful. Tidus had returned to the Gullwings, Cid was still recovering from his confrontation with Seymour. Auron and Yuna were having little fights, and the rest of the group were doing fine.
“It’s good to have you back, Tidus,” Cid said, while walking down the hall of the airship with Tidus.
“It’s good to be back, sir. I’m just glad I didn’t let everyone down too much by storming out of here like that,” Tidus said.
“Not at all, Tidus. You were there when you were needed and that’s the only thing that matters. This entire episode has worked out precisely as I would have wanted,” Cid explained.
“Even Auron?” Tidus asked.
“As far as I’m concerned, Auron has more than proved himself as a Gullwing, young Tidus. He’s as welcome in these corridors as anyone,” Cid answered. “Although, from what I hear, he’s leaving in the morning to take care of some unfinished business elsewhere.”
“Really? I hadn’t heard,” Tidus said with a smile.
“Don’t look too disappointed, Tidus,” Cid joked.
“I still can’t believe what happened in Bevelle. I mean, are you sure people actually cheered when you won?” Tidus asked.
“Well, we did just save the Grand Maester, plus thirty of our fellow Spirans, Tidus. A little round of applause was hardly unjustified,” Cid answered.
“I know, I know. It’s just that I’m so used to people throwing bottles at us after we rescue them. I really wish I could have been there to see everything we always wanted to come together like that,” Tidus said.
“Oh, there’ll be plenty of other times, I’m sure. After all, eliminating Sin, opening the door to the Guado and gaining the trust of Yevon was just phase one of our little master plan,” Cid explained. “Phase two promises to be a lot more interesting.”
