The next day Ryu's class visited Capsule Corporation. It was bigger and better than Ryu could have imagined. And he thought the computer he had in his basement was high-tech.
Next to him was Ategev, and Charles. Ategev didn't seem to notice Ryu though. He was lost in thought not really paying attention to the tour guide. Charles was whispering to Fred, but not really paying attention to Ryu either. Brieanna on the other hand was right behind him, and every so often glancing at Ryu when he wasn't looking.
"Welcome, children, since 1973 Capsule Corporation has been dedicated to providing innovative materials for manufacturing, construction, automotive, chemical processing and numerous other global industries. We are a leading global manufacturer. Capsule operates about one hundred and ten major manufacturing and seven research and developments facilities worldwide. We manufacture and produce chemically engineered products with special focus on replacements of EHS hazardous acids and solvents," the tour guide explained. She was a woman about the age of 30. She wore a black buisness suit, and had short blonde hair.
"If you'll follow me down this way..." the tour guide continued.
Suddenly, Ryu felt a burning sensation on his hand. He lifted it up, and saw a cicada's fangs digging into his skin. There was blood pooring down his arm.
"AAAAAH!" Ryu screamed, jerking his arm.
The cicada flew and landed on Brieanna's chest.
"OH MY GOD!" she shouted.
Ryu started to feel dizzy.
Brieanna took her notebook and wiped the cicada off her shirt.
"OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!" she continued to shout.
"DIE!" Charles shouted as he slammed his foot down on the cicada.
It had all happened so fast, Ryu didn't know what hit him. He fell to the floor with a loud smack.
"The spaz is freakin'!" Fred exclaimed.
"Ryu!" Brieanna exclaimed.
"HHUAGGH!"
Ryu threw up making a big pile of smelly food and acid on the floor.
The science teacher walked over to see what the commotion was.
"What is going on here? Ryu?" Ms. Duffin asked.
A security guard came over trying to restore the peace.
"Everyone back!" he ordered.
"God, Son!" Fred exclaimed obviously surprised that Ryu threw up.
"EEEWW!" one of the students said.
"Ryu?!" Brieanna asked worriedly.
"Yo man! That was a big honkin' cicada!" Charles said, trying to get attention.
Ryu felt himself slowly losing consciousness.
"Ryu? Can you hear me? Ryu?" Brieanna asked.
"See how I killed that thing?!" Charles said more exasparatedly.
"Alright, kids. Let's get into a single file!" the guard ordered again seeing that none of the students were listening to the first order he gave.
"Son, can you stand? What is it, son?" Ms. Duffin asked again.
"Ryu... Please, say something!" Brieanna exclaimed putting a hand on Ryu's cheek. Ryu blacked out.
When he awoke he was on the bus back to school. Brieanna was sitting next to him.
"We called your grandmother. She'll be at school to get you by the time we get back. Are you feeling better?" Mr. Landes asked, putting a hand on Ryu's shoulder.
Mr. Landes was Brieanna's science teacher.
"Yeah, I just... I think I just wigged out. That cicada was huge!" Ryu exclaimed.
"Oh my god! It so was!" Brieanna agreed.
"Your grandmother will take you to the hospital, so..."
"Nothing to be embarrased about, Ryu. Could'a happened to anyone," Brieanna said cutting Mr. Landes off.
"Well, how come it always, ALWAYS, happens to me?" Ryu asked sadly bowing his head.
"Not always..." Brieanna said putting a hand on Ryu's shoulder.
Ryu looked up at Brieanna. She made a faint smile, and Ryu smiled back.
