ARGH!
MY COMP IS SO SLOW!!! -- I didn't get to everybody's sites, so sorry if I didn't hit yours... TT SORRY!
Oh, and just for everyone's information, Itachi got in his traumatization of the day. What happened, you ask? ...Xion locked him in a room with Taia (or Tea, whatever, from Yu-Gi-Oh). NOBODY deserves that, with all its friendship speech-ness.
Itachi: *holds up hand* She tattooed a smiley face on the back of my hand...
Oh! And Dark Necrofear let me borrow Ryou for awhile! *huggles Ryou*
Itachi: Hey, Ryou... Welcome to Hell.
Ryou: Hell is sounding pretty good right now... oo'
Now, the next few scenes of the ficcie!
***
“Hey, Rowan,” Sato spoke into the orange phone quietly, looking through the glass at Rowan. She gave him a weak smile, but still looked a bit hopeless. Rowan rolled his eyes, tugging on the collar of his orange jail jumpsuit uncomfortably. He snapped, “Don’t look at me like that. You should know better than anyone that someone like me couldn’t have pulled a murder off…”
Sato smiled and nodded, and added, “And you’re probably the last person to be caught dead wearing that.”
“What, this?” Rowan tugged on his collar uncomfortably again, as the coarse material kept scratching against his neck. “Hoped they would have it in black,” he added bluntly with a smile.
Sato laughed, and replied, “Actually, you don’t look too bad in orange. I have to take you shopping when you get out.”
Rowan rolled his eyes and shot back, “Maybe I should plead guilty now…”
Sato laughed again, saying, “Ya know, for being accused of murder, you seem to be in an awfully sarcastic mood.”
“That’s ‘cause I know I’m innocent.”
Sato smiled, commenting, “Yeah, we’ve all been worried. Even Sasuke was pacing for a while yesterday when we heard.”
Rowan scoffed, “Really? Probably ‘cause he didn’t want the reputation of having a little sister who was best friends with a murderer.”
Sato shook her head, smiling, then asked, “Do you know what’s going on during the trial? I mean, who’s giving testimony and all that?”
“They said a kid from school who saw what happened would be giving testimony… But I can’t be sure. I just know they can’t convict me without evidence. And I didn’t do anything, so they have no evidence against me.”
Sato nodded, then said, “Look, Rowan, I gotta go. Sasuke’s practically prepared to drag me out of here. So, um… See ya when you get out, if I don’t visit sooner.”
Rowan nodded, saying a quick goodbye and hanging the phone up, leaning back against the chair and watching Sato walk away.
-------
Rowan raised an eyebrow when he heard the police guard say, “Reed, you got a visitor.”
Rowan stood up, tugging on his collar. “Another one?”
The guard nodded, leading him to the visiting booths again. Rowan sat down on one side of the glass, picking up the phone. A blonde man sat across from him, the man was in a business suit, and had been apparently talking on a cell phone only moments before. The man picked up the orange jail phone, glaring through the glass at Rowan. Rowan smiled, saying, “Hi, Dad.”
“Don’t ‘hi, Dad’ me. Murder? I leave for a couple weeks, and you’re accused of murder?!”
Rowan rolled his eyes, replying, “Dad, I didn’t do it. I was at the scene of the crime, but I had checked our next door neighbor’s pulse, not killed him.”
His father glared at him angrily, snapping, “It doesn’t matter if you didn’t do it. Just getting accused of murder… Do you know what reputation that’ll give my company? I’ll be lucky if we get any business any more.”
Rowan growled, leaning on the desk he was sitting at, and shot back, “Sorry for your company, then…”
His father sighed, saying, “Rowan… You have to learn to get control over yourself. If this keeps happening-“
Rowan’s vision shot up to his father angrily, and he snapped, “I told you, I didn’t do it!”
His father just sat, speechless, then said calmly, “I don’t have time for this. Good luck on your trial, I have to go back to work.”
Rowan growled, slamming the phone down, whipping around, and going back to the cot he had been sitting in before.
