   In a coma...
Sorry friends for another long absence.

Both my jobs have been sucking hours of overtime from my life and I finally finished going through my ASL class - dunno if I passed it though ^^''.

So my free time consists of unconscious slumber, eating, chores and well..D and D ^_^

Things are going good with the D and D. It turns out that I am the grand-daughter of Bahamut - the Dragon God of ALL good dragons.
Yes folks..I am a demi-power ^-^
And he created me to start a church in his name and lead the armies of dragon, dragonkind and their allies into battle against Tiamat and all evil forces of her ilk.
Going up against a dragon goddess with five heads and a cult that has been dedicated to her for centuries AND armies that could take over every level of the nine hells... man do I have my work cut out for me! o.O
AAAAAAAnnd to top things off, our party has currently traveled to the most wretched hive of demonic scum and villiany: Sigil
And our vampire, Tobias Moon, has just been returned to us...in an urn...not ashes mind you, but with every joint and bone in his body broken with the resulting mush shoved into the container...and a note from hallister which reads: "Dear adventurers; Next time you venture into my house, I would thank you kindly not to leave your undead trash behind. Love, Hallister ^-^"
I love Hallister XD!!!!

Today I hope to get a few things done though. Write and check up on you guys, check my email for the first time in a week, go and see the new guy running the Naval Recruiting station over here, bathe my kitten, finish up my X-mas shopping and ofcourse..pass out into a coma.
And due to my crazy ammount of sleep - I have been having some crazy dreams. Crazy o.o *shifty eyes*

Jeff, my roomate, and I got into an arguement during first break on Sunday night. He was upset with me and a few things that I was doing at work that were interfering with my performance, about an issue with a mutual friend of ours and our D and D game. I agreed with him on the constructive criticism about my work, disagreed with him on the issue with the mutual friend and the D and D game. He did a lot of yelling and said a lot of things I knew that he just said in the heat of anger. I yelled too but I restrained myself from spouting things that I knew I would regret later. We came to an agreement and a compromise and all was said and done. I have been in a down mood lately just because I'm going through one of those periods where I stand back a reevaluate my life, and Jeff took it as me being mad at him. He tried to apologize and coo me about the argument and the things he said, but I already knew that it was just a fight and bad things are always said in a fight. I have grown up with fighting and arguing all my life without hearing any one apologize to me for what was said, so I imply told him that I know he didn't mean what he said and that it was alright and I wasn't upset with him.
Yet, there was one thing he said that really bothered me... I won't repeat it because it is rather trite but it still lingers around in my head.

Arg...need food. Fear not my friends I shall return again - I just dunno when ^-^.

All my love,

Serrafina

   HHHHEEEEERRRREEEESSS Serrafina! ^o^
I have returned my beloved friends. Thank you for all your well wishes and prayers. You can't have too many blessings I always say ^-^.
I had a wonderful time at my father's and we arrived and left without incident.
I took pictures! ^o^
But my compy is acting up- yet fear not! I shall switch compys and have them posted tomorrow.
The story is still progressing well I will have the third part finished also by tomorrow if there is space to post it that is ^-^.

MAglin and I discussed more things about my D&D character. And there is more to Arika thatn I could even possibly imagine.
Turns out that Kale (I think I mentioned that he was a Moon Elf that Arika befriended and then he betrayed her city home Everesca to the five headed dragon Godess Tiamat and thus it was destroyed), Kale is really a Shadow Dragon from the Abyssal plane! Tiamat told him who and what Arika really is and gave this high ranking general a task: Corrupt her.
To Kale this was a delicious opportunity and win-all situation-
-and he succeded.
Unbeknownst to Arika because she lost her true memories. Kale used Arika and brought her to see Tiamat. After talking to the dragon goddess, Arika became a high ranking general in her army and led the very assault that destroyed Everesca.
However, she was killed in the sacking of the city...
Or so it was thought...
Mwahahah ^-^

Since Arika has awoken from however it was that revived her from death, Kale has been in the shadows (like an (good) evil shadow dragon) watching.

It's going to be an eventful meeting; Arika will NOT be happy to encounter him again...

More soon,

love to all!!

   More Adventure!!
Yesterday was delicious!
Yes! ^-^
It actually started out badly. Saturday night I got a terrible 45 calibur migraine to the head, and afterward I went into the fever induced coma. I slept all Saturday night and all of Sunday until around 6 pm - and oh the things I saw in my dreams!
That story that I posted last post - it was finished in an all out epic during my coma. I have written most of it down, but in smaller parts so it is easier for you guys to read (I hope o~o).

Oh and I went to work last night and got attacked by the flour again -.-'

But without further adeu! The Story which I have called...er I don't have a name for it yet But I am open to suggestions!

Das Story:

I looked outside the window of my room in the Dragon Memorial Dormitory and sighed into the warm breeze that filtered in. Soft light began to fade from the horizon as the sun began the last stages of its descent, its red and orange fingers trying one last time to grab hold in the sky and submitting to the onslaught of the coming night. The gauze bandaged and the medical tape attacked to the back of my neck was itching but I knew I shouldn’t scratch it; the muscles in my neck occasionally throbbed when I moved my head.
I was lucky to be alive.
Even that didn’t ease my restlessness. I had been cooped up in my room all day and as the sun set with no signs of Professor Vearin or any other visitors for that matter, I felt terribly lonely. I had changed into my lavender colored pajamas, shorts and a soft spaghetti strap cami, and put on a soft pair of white house boots to keep my feet warm. The wind blew again and something caught me eyes.
A heavily wooded and flowered courtyard lied below the dormitory and towards the middle through the trees I glimpsed a white swing swaying slowly in the night air. I started thinking. The swing’s not too far away, and the courtyard is surrounded by the dorm building on all sides. It’s getting late and there shouldn’t be anyone out there to spot me, it should be safe. I rose to my feet, wrapped a light purple scarf around my neck and grabbed my matching robe and headed out.
I marveled at how peaceful the courtyard was as I swung lazily in the white wooden swing. It was attached to a limb that jutted out to one side of a large oak tree and the grass was soft beneath my booted feet. I found it odd that the swing was not directly on the path that ran through the courtyard, but it was quiet and beautiful. But the sun had set and it was getting dark, dark enough to light the quaint short lamps that light the walkway just a few yard away. I rose to my feet with a content sigh, glad to be out for just a few short moments and turned towards the path.
Then I stopped dead in my tracks.
A large figure stood between me and the path. His white armor glinted lethally in the glow of the lamps making him seem surreal. (Think Death Scythe armor only more rounded and fitting a human shape with a helmet with a single mouth piece and three sickle-like horns bending backwards over the helmet). I blinked and he was still standing there. Apprehension rose inside me and my stomach grew tight as I calmly turned left hoping that it was just my imagination as I started to jog past the oak tree. When I saw him standing amidst the trees just before me and he was closer this time, I froze. I took a tentative step back staring at him then my flight or fight mechanism took over and I turned right ready to sprint for my life-
Thump.
I gave a small grunt as I ran into what felt like a wall that I was certain wasn’t there before; I stepped back and looked up – into the helmet of the armored man. I drew my hands up to my chest instinctively and took another retreating step in muted fright. He was so close and he loomed over me like a solid tower. My eyes darted left and right; there was nothing but empty air in the places where he once stood. But how could that be? What could possibly move fast that I could see? The man took a step forward and I heard his armor clink together as his heavy foot sank into the ground. I noticed that he wore a cape that feel down from his shoulders hiding his arms from view and it rippled ever so slightly as he moved and I thought I also caught the sound of a chain rattling from somewhere beneath the fabric. I stopped my retreat and looked into his face. I couldn’t see his eyes.
“Who are you?” I asked more timidly than I wanted to sound. “What do you want?”
The armored man paused. Then he started forward again. I nearly leapt backwards in fright and ran into the wide trunk of the oak tree, something moved in the grass to my right but it was too late. White chains erupted from the ground, whipping up and around coiling around my limbs and pinned my solidly to the oak tree. I struggled to free myself but they were too strong to break, yet there was some slack as if there only purpose was to hold me, not to harm me. I opened my mouth to scream, it was the only thing I could do, but there was a rush of air and everything grew dark as my captor closed the distance until his face leered down on mine. I gazed wide eyed upwards and found I was close enough to peer past the darkness of his helmet and find his eyes. They were a vivid orange with red flecks throughout.
“Don’t. Scream.” His voice was demanding but in his eyes there was almost a plea.
I felt my windpipe suddenly constrict and the scream caught in my throat. I closed my mouth and swallowed, with much difficulty, and let the air out slowly through my nose. I turned my head away hoping that my bangs would at least hide me from his eyes when I sensed movement from beneath his cape. My eyes darted to watch as metal tipped fingers rose towards my face. I tried turn away but there was no escape as he gently cradled my chin between his forefinger and thumb. The metal felt sharp against my skin and I felt my heart pounding against my ribs as he lifted my head upwards. Then he brought his other hand up and with a single finger brushed my bangs tenderly away from my face. I found his eyes on mine again I gazed fearfully into them. His pupils narrowed and I watched the iris’s jerk back and forth rapidly.
He’s looking for something. I realized. But what?
His head pulled away slightly and I felt a soft tugging at the scarf around my throat. I started trying to crane my eyes downward straining against the links of chain wrapped around my limbs.
My neck began to throb. It would be so easy for him to strangle me and leave me here. No one knew where I was or where I had gone. No one would be looking for me. I don’t want to die. I can’t go through another fright like this. Why is he doing this? I was so afraid. And then I felt the caress of fabric around my neck replaced by the cold openness of air.
I blinked and relaxed. He took my scarf off??
My captor draped the purple strand of fabric over his metallic arm and delicately lifted my chin exposing the skin of my throat to his line of sight. I stifled a moan as the bruised muscled strained at the motion and tried to free my hands to no avail. Another set of fingers lifted towards my throat and I tensed with a short hiss of terror. He stopped then he took a short step closer and removed his fingers from my chin snaking his fingers around the back of my head.
“What are y-Ah!” I started to say when there was a loud ripping sound as the white knight deftly tore the bandage from the back of my neck.
My mouth opened again but I closed it. His head was so close to mine now as he peered over my shoulder at the fingernail wounds that I could hear his breathing. It was strong and rhythmic and I felt myself somehow mirroring it. The knight pulled away and with his free hand took the scarf and held it up to me.
“Bite.” He instructed.
I glanced nervously at the fabric and then back up to him, but his eyes were hidden.
“Bite it.” He repeated and there was an edge in his voice that told me I would not get another chance to do as he asked voluntarily.
I took a deep breath and gave it a split thought, then slowly I let my jaws part and let my teeth latch onto the scarf. My mouth had grown dry, but now it seemed like a desert.
“Good, girl.” The knight said and I felt like crying as he gently pulled my head forward and leaned over me once more. He whispered in my ear as I felt an armored fingertip against the back of my neck, “This is going to hurt.”
Liquid poured out from his metal finger and into one of the wounds Maru’s fingernail left in my skin, the knight began to stroke his finger along each of the wounds letting the salve thoroughly coat each one. At first I felt nothing but a slight tingling, then all at once the wounds began to burn. It fizzled and stung three times worse than hydrogen peroxide and as it forced its way into my flesh it began to burn as if someone had doused my muscles in raw alcohol. I shut my eyes trying to hold back the tears and I felt my voice return as I screamed in agony into the scarf. The knight pulled back and I could have sworn that I saw smoke rising from my neck as he placed a sharp finger over the scarf and steadied my head.
“Be still. The pain will subside.” He assured me.
I blinked and tried to focus on keeping my breathing steady and slowly but surely the fire and pain was replaced by a soothing cold sensation that faded into a cool tingle. The knight released me as he stepped away from me and I spat out the scarf trying to rehydrate my mouth.
“What did you do to me?” I demanded dryly eyeing him.
Before he could answer something heavy struck the base of the tree and rolled upward. The chains lost their hold on me and fell limply to the ground. I blinked free and saw the white knight turn to his right and there was a flash of red as the broad edge of an axe buried into his chest. The armored head of a red knight turned to gaze at me in mid swing as the split second slowed to an eternity. Yellow eyes flashed at me from within the darkness of his helm as he hissed:
“Run!”

Who is the White Knight?
What did he do to Serrafina?
Where did the Red Knight come from?
Who is friend and who is foe?
Find out in the next installment!

Love to all!

   Nightmares and discombobulation....
Hey gang! It's 4 am and I'm about to fall over.

But Otaku calls me to post and post I shall! XD

Today went kinda weird actually. All the guys came over to play D&D but our Dungeon Master went missing! Maglin was nowhere to be found. We called and left messages but no response. We found other ways to occupy ourselves: XBox360, lego star wars, food, Michi (my kitten) and the uncannily warm weather we had today. So it wasn't a total bummer.
We eventually got ahold of Maglin. Turns out he took a Dimeatap Benadryl cocktail and passed out for 8 hours...but he's alive and ok so that's all I care about. ^-^

I wanted to post some D&D goodness, but with a lack of recent gameplay and no written early material I voted on posting this bizarre dream I had last night.

Hope you enjoy, it's got fighting, puzzles, motorcycling, waterfalls, sanctuarys, Vampire Knight-style boarding school, crazy bad guys and mysterious intrigue!!!

Here it go...tis kinda long...

Catherine practically knocked me over as she wrapped her arms around me for one last hug.
“I’m going to miss you so much!” her voice was sweet in my ears and I could see her brown eyes fight back tears as her yellow hair cascaded around her face. Her arm’s embrace was bittersweet as I hugged her back.
“I promise to keep in touch with you everyday, Kitty.” I petted her head as we pulled apart. “I never imagined that I would be accepted to Lilly Grove Academy – I thought for sure that I had flunked that entrance exam- but…if I don’t take this opportunity, my dad will kill me.”
“Serra! Serra!”
We turned as more of my girlfriends dashed up to us dressed in our school’s uniforms, blue dress shirt, red tie, red skirt and black over vest. They congratulated me and rained down words of encouragement and sorrow for today was the last day I would attend class with them. My attention was focused solely on them and my own predicament, but across the courtyard beneath the white flowering pear tree a boy stood gazing blankly at the circle of girls. His short brown hair didn’t stir much in the passing breeze but his blue eyes narrowed almost tiredly as the air caressed his face. A sound raised his eyebrows and he turned sideways, away from the crowd and held a cell phone to his ears. His face remained unchanged for a few moments; then the eyelids pulled upward just slightly. The wind gusted again as he glanced back in my direction the limbs bending hiding all but his intense eyes and his voice was like ice amid the rush:
“I understand.”
The wind died and the figure seemed to die away from sight with it…

“Serrafina B. Alexandria.” Professor Vearin called over the sheet held infront of his face.
I raised my hand proudly with a smile ^-^ , “Present!”
Professor Vearin, who at this point had not looked up from his sheet, paused and I saw his tilt upward just barely over the rim of the paper and his probing green eyes peer strangely at me through his sharp edged glasses. I lowered my hand slowly perplexed at his gaze and began to shrink into myself thinking that I might have been overly cheerful and offended him. And I could have sworn I saw a spark flicker in his irises as my blue eyes met his, then his eyes darted quickly away and he went back to droning out names form the attendance sheet.
Professor Vearin was a blonde haired man in his middle ages of average build and only slightly taller than most men his age, but there was an unprecedented imposing aura about him that made him feel larger than he was. His hair was long and pulled back into a pony tail at the back of his neck and cascaded to about mid-back leaving his scarce bangs to hang in sharp angles along his checks. He turned away from the class now having finished the roll and began marking figures and scribbles on the board. I turned and glanced out the beautiful bay windows that arched along the wall next to me; I became lost in thought as the white blossoms fell outside in the warm sweet breeze. And that’s when I felt it.
I think I actually jerked as I realized that someone was looking at me. I turned to the right away from the windows and saw another student lounging in a plush green chair just a few feet away. Clothed in the male school uniform: white suit with blood red embroidery, white laced boots and a matching Apollo seven button down jacket with the school crest embroidered into the left breast and his class rank and title on the collar, he was uncannily lengthy, long thin arms and long thin legs, long whispy black hair. He was sprawled with his back in the corner of the chair facing me, his arms draped across the back of the chair and one armrest and his legs falling at odd angles to the floor. But it was his purple eyes, set in his almond shaped eyelids that set me at ease; he was staring directly at me the same way a rabid animal eyes its next meal. Then he smiled. A toothy visage that would make a komodo dragon shrink in terror.
I swallowed unsure of this bizarre attention and its intent snapping my attention quickly back to Professor Vearin who was lecturing to the class. I pulled my limbs closer to myself just for reassurance and snuggled back into my chair which seemed more like a bean bag forced into the shape of a chair and tried to ignore the strange guy eyeing me down…
“Excellent work today children!” Professor Vearin complimented several moments later. “I will expect your essays tomorrow and don’t forget your supplies for your lab. Class dismissed!”
The students began gathering their things and shuffling out of there respected seats and heading out the door. I took a slower time checking over my schedule and map of the school so I could plot my path to my next class and went to stand up.
“Miss Alexandria.”
I glanced upward quickly to find Professor Vearin standing over me. I leapt to my feet shoving the map and schedule into my backpack.
“I’m sorry Professor.” I stumbled without looking at him. “I didn’t mean to lag behind I-”
“You made a perfect score on the entrance exam Miss Alexandria.” His voice was soft yet empowering.
I blinked up at him, “I –I- Did I? I –I wasn’t told my score only that I passed but – Are – are you serious?”
He smiled and his eyes closed, “Yes, Serrafina. You are the first person to score a perfect rank in over a century. You are truly special.”
“Uh…” I beemed shyly. “Well, thank you Professor Vearin.”
His face suddenly lost its friendly glow and grew seriously dark, “I will be watching your progress in this institution with great intrigue.”
My face drew back in puzzlement and I gazed at the man before me more intently. Was that…sorrow…in his eyes?
“Now, now Professor.” a sly voice leaked from my left. “Don’t frighten the little angel.”
In unison, the professor and I turned to see the boy that had been staring at me. He stood in a leaning stance eyeing Professor Vearin with his provoking purple eyes.
“..a..angel..?” I whispered.
“Eavesdropping is not an example of noble character Mr. Akishima, I suggest you grow out of it.”
“It’s not a crime either, Professor Vearin.” He said the last words with a hint of mocking venom as he walked forward. I held my ground as he bent low and took my small hand with his long fingers and pulled it up to his face. “Maru Akishima Third Class Valedictorian, your humble servant Alexandria Serrafina.”
His purple eyes shot a glance past his dark bangs upward that seemed to pierce through me like rapiers as his lips barely grazed the skin on the back of my hand. A shiver passed through me at this touch but I somehow held my composure and he released my hand. I pulled up and placed it underneath the other hand that held the strap to my backpack over my shoulder.
“Thank you, Mr. Akishima.”
“Please,” he said sharply. “Maru will simply do.”
I suppressed a cringe and nodded, “Maru, then.”
Professor Vearin’s voice snapped me out of my distress, “Serrafina, will you please excuse Mr. Akishima and myself. We have something to discuss and I’m sure we both would be terribly upset if you were late to your next class.”
My class! I had forgotten about that. I made a quick bow muttering my thanks and made a hasty retreat from the room knowing all the while that Maru had not taken his eyes off of me even as I stepped into the hallway…

I inhaled the warm afternoon wind and felt eased by it’s gently cleansing touch as I paused from pulling my motorcycle from it’s slot in the from side parking lot. The school was located on a ridge that overlooked a flat valley made of separate plateaus that were surrounded by hills and mountains on three sides. There was a small gorge that ran horizontally from the valley’s edge and then made a sharp turn to follow the edge of one plateau and then disappeared over the rim to another lower plane. The green grass seemed to shimmer like emeralds as the sun blazed from the mountain’s peaks as it neared sunset and I wanted to bike around the area before turning in for the night in my dormitory.
I checked my padded safety suit, black with florescent orange trim and triangular patches, to make sure that it was zipped and strapped securely around me when a loud sound caught my attention. Below the parking lot in the wavering grasses I saw another figure on a hover bike swerving around in circles. I noticed the white color of the bike, the white suit the biker was wearing, the long black hair cascading from the white helmet, then the vehicle stopped and the operator’s helmet gazed right up at me. A single hand raised the visor – and I saw the purple eyes of Maru staring at me once again.
The wind blew between us and this time my eyes hardened as I returned his glance. After only meeting this guy once, I found him absolutely tiresome. I had no idea what his problem is, but I was going to find out once and for all. I shoved my head into my helmet and mounted my metal horse pointing it to the edge of the parking lot. With a swift rev from the handle my bike jumped forward speeding towards the rim with intense purpose. Below the eyes of Maru seemed to smile as I pulled upward and the bike leapt from the edge and soared over him into the air. I landed hard but with a steady grace and pulled the vehicle to bear on his position- and saw that he was moving. I swerved hard to the right and began my pursuit and noticed that he was heading towards the gorge. I reved hard and willing the bike across the grass to catch up with him but the gorge came up fast and I had to hop across the expanse and to the other side before turning the bike.
I straightened and together we began racing side by side along the gorge. Then suddenly his helmet turned in my direction and I watched as his bike leapt into the gorge. It wasn’t very deep, only about six feet down but his hoverbike tapped the ground before regaining its altitude over the rocky muddy terrain.
What is this guy doing? I wondered as he began to pull ahead of me.
Frowning at myself I made a decision. My bike landed hard in the muddy bottom of the gorge and I had to struggle to keep myself atop it as it waivered in the terrain. I smirked to myself as my bike steadied and I began to pick my speed back up and closed in on Maru, then the gorge began to narrow until all I could see was him and the sky above. I grew more apprehensive as we raced along and my fears were confirmed as Maru suddenly took a sharp right turn and I saw nothing but a solid earth wall loom before me. I cried out in alarm and twisted on the break leaning to the right knowing that my wheels wouldn’t turn as sharply as his hover pads and felt momentum separate me from the bike. The muddy ground jolted me right but the bike kept sliding towards the wall eventually crashing into the earth with a loud noise. I hit the dirt wall of the turn and bounced off and began rolling downward as the path dropped sharply. I floundered feeling my gloved fingers grasping as the malleable mud and finding nothing to hold onto to stop or slow my tumble as the path curved and twisted bending forever down and around until I lost all sense of direction and nearly my senses. Then the path opened up and I felt nothing but air around my as I fell into a large clear poll of water. I plunged beneath the blue and took the last gulp of air from inside my helmet before it filled with water and rushed towards the surface. I opened the visor to let the water out as I paddled to the pebbled shore and pulled myself out.
I ripped the helmet off of my head with a cry of outrage as I rose to my feet and spun around to get my bearings. My padded suit and helmet kept me safe from serious injury, but I was pretty sure that I had a bruise somewhere. I was in a hollowed out section of the gorge that still retained a small stream that ended in the large poll of water that I had just pulled myself from. The sides of the boxed canyon were to slick and sheer to climb, so I had no choice but to follow the stream up to its source and pray that I found an exit before nightfall.
I glanced around for any sign of Maru. There was none.
“What were you trying to do, Maru?!” I cried to the expanse. “Are you trying to kill me?!”
Only the echo of my own voice answered me.
I kicked the pebbled sand and began walking upstream.
A few moments later, I walked around a bend and saw something that made me stop dead in my tracks. I had come up a dead end in the canyon where a waterfall rained down from a stone archway in the plateau above. A silvery domed tower reflected the orange, red, purple and golden rays of the dying sun and peered over the rim of stone and water down at me. Then I noticed the black door etched into the rocky wall to the left of the rushing waterfall. As I neared it, I noticed the blue etchings on its surface and that there was no door handle. Curious, I set down my helmet and pulled off one of my gloves then very gently pressed my hand against the carvings. My eyes brightened as the strange ruins began to glow and shimmer with sapphire energy in question at my touch.
Question…questioning…what I want?
Words formed from my lips before I was even sure of them, “May I come in?”
There was a loud clack, and the door beneath my hand shifted slightly inward. I smiled. That was a pretty neat trick. I grabbed my helmet with my other hand and pushed the door fully open. A gust of wind followed after me as I peered into the dim tunnel that stretched before me and I paused to marvel at the orange lines that lit the floor. The door closed and locked behind me as I stepped in and began to wander down the earthen corridor.
The cavern that yawned beyond the tunnel was large enough to fit the entire Notre Dame Church and still have room to spare, but it was not solely natural. Between the stalactites that hang from the ceiling, black metal buttresses and struts were mounted to give it added stability. Metal meshed catwalks and platforms were constructed all along the sides and in the large rocky ledge that extended out into the cavern. Generators pumped life into the artificial lights that illuminated everything in sight, and powered the vast array of machines and computer screens that littered many of the metal platforms. Below, there was no floor to the cavern but instead there was a sea of contained transparent orange fluid that gave off a sweet pleasant smell but there were no living creatures or fish floating within its depths that I could see. In the very center of the cave, just beyond the rocky ledge, was a black machine with a large black cylinder mounted horizontally atop the construct emanating red energy from its crystalline coils.
And working on this machine was Professor Vaerin.
Excited by this find and the bizarre beauty of this place I began jogging down across the maze of catwalks towards him. I called out his name as I ran across the platform atop the rocky ledge and leaned over the rail to wave at him. He turned sharply at the sound of his name and his face spread in abstract horror as he cried.
“Serrafina! Behind you!”
I froze for an instant then spun and ducked just as a metal pipe sailed through the spot where my head once was. In the same instant I followed the length of the pipe to it’s wielder’s hands and traced the limbs all the way to a face shrouded by black hair and gazed in the purple eyes of Maru. Landing my foot I countered by shifting my weight and swinging my helmet straight for his skull when it suddenly exploded in my fingers. I blinked and stared in awe as I realized that he had brought his other hand to bear and slammed it into my helmet shattering it with nothing more than his fist.
I took a step away from him feeling my back bump into the railing.
“You’re not human…” I said in horror.
Maru smiled at me again his pupils growing smaller as he advanced, “Throwing stones little angel? Time to send you back to heaven .”
“Serra, run!” Professor Vearin’s voice rang out from below. “Get away from him now!”
“What do you want with me Maru?” I demanded biting back my fear. “Tell me!”
And he laughed, laughed so cruelly it hurt me to hear, “Dear, sweet unsuspecting angel. I led you here.”
“Led me here? For what? What is this place?”
“You’re the Key,” he grinned but stopped a few steps away from me. “No one with ill intent could open the doors to the Moon Sanctuary. I knew that the barrier wouldn’t keep out an Angel seeking shelter and aid from a nasty fall. The Angel with the perfect score, the Angelic Key we have sought for so long, the Angel that guides me to my ultimate goal.”
“Stop calling me that!” I shouted at him.
“Serrafina!” Professor Vearin called up to me. “You don’t know what he is!”
“Silence, Priest!” Maru snapped lethally. “I’ll deal with you soon enough.”
“Priest?” I glanced down at Professor Vearin than back to Maru. “What’s here that is so important to you?”
“You.” Maru chuckled oddly. “And the Prismatic Core down there that your beloved ‘professor’ will, I’m sure, undoubtedly defend with his wretched life.”
“Prismatic Core?”
“Yes, Angel. Once attuned to the right setting, that Core will bring about the destruction or resurrection of anything within its light once activated. HE will return, and you will not stand in the way of his glory!!”
“Serra, run!”
Maru lunged for me and I swiped out with a hand rolling away and underneath his grasp placing my back once again against the railing. Maru gave a short cry and skidded to a halt and spun on me. His fingers traced the gash on his cheek and his eyes danced wildly in his head as he glanced at the blood on his fingertips and then to me. I held my fingers flat in an angle close to my face then tilted my wrist allowing the blade to be seen.
“Human or not. Core, your insane delusions, hidden sanctuary, death resurrection, I don’t care.” My blue eyes narrowed as my hair fluttered in its ponytail. “No one’s sending me anywhere.”
Quick as a flash I tossed the knife intending it to pierce the spot right above his nose and between his eyes, but could only watch in shock as he simply knelt down letting it sail harmlessly overhead and then charge straight for me. I did the only logical thing that came to mind: leap over the rail and take my chances. I heard Maru hiss in anger as I escaped his grasp.
Luck was once again with me for I landed on another catwalk that encircled the ledge having several paths that lead down to the water and I took no hesitation in running for the platform housing the Prismatic Core and Professor Vearin.
“Professor, Vearin!” I called as I descended. “I don’t understand what’s going on, but a Plan would be Great right about now!”
“Keep running until you reach the irrigation pipes and head across! I’ll lock down the Core!” Vearin shouted as he fussed over a control panel and pulled a lever. “He’s not after you…I hope…”
As I ran for the black irrigation pipes that lay halfway submerged in the orange water, a clear protective dome formed over the Prismatic core machine and the entire platform began to spin. Clear walls rose on both sides of the core platform keeping the rest of the water from being disturbed as the protected machine began to sink beneath the orange sea. I leapt the railing as it ended where the rocks met the water and ontop of one of the black irrigation pipes. The pipe was thick and sturdy easily five feet across and the top was surprisingly dry. I took a tentative few steps as I edged farther out into the water then once sure of myself I began a full out sprint hearing the hollow sound of my feet against the metal. Professor Vearin finished the final sequence to lock down the core and then removed a long metal lever from its connector and smashed the controls until sparks showered from it and its mount cracked and fell to one side. I glanced over my shoulder at the sound and when I looked back I nearly fell off the pipe as I skidded to a halt.
Maru smiled calmly as he began walking slowly towards me.
We were nearly in the center of the pipe and far away from either shore, so how he made it here without running across the pipe himself or me seeing him- yet as I brace myself against that grim smile as this monster marched towards me I threw all rational thought out the window and kicked my fight mechanism into gear.
“Fight, little angel.” He mocked wickedly. “I hope you fight!”
He lunged with arms outstretched and his quickness caught me off guard. Long slender fingers clawed at my throat and I squirmed away from his fingers feeling his nails scrape against the skin of my shoulders and neck. I thrashed as he reset his footing and his fingers found hold around my throat and squeezed. I gasped and tried to pry his fingers away as he tried to force me downward but his grip was too strong and his fingers too nimble for me to get a hold of. Maru shoved me violently in an attempt to take me off my feet and as a reflex, I kicked outward and felt one foot strike home against one of his knees. We both tumbled awkwardly and he released his hold to steady himself against the pipe, but I was not so lucky. I slid off the smooth round surface and plunged into the orange liquid.
The feel of the water clapped around me seeping into the folds of my clothes and coating against my skin as it pulled me down, down. The water was so warm, like bath water and it seemed…thicker almost than normal H2O. For a moment, I felt myself go numb and I began to slowly sink away from the surface. I looked upward to see beyond the surface but instead found my own image reflected back at me. Nothing above the water line was revealed, it was like a solid mirror. Calmness washed over me and thoughts of Maru, Professor Vaerin, the Prismatic Core, vanished in the wondrous feeling of sinking into the warmth. Bubbles escaped from my mouth and pierced the surface and as it pulled apart I saw a single purple eye searching for me. Reality hit me like a brick wall. I was underwater with no way to breathe and sinking fast.
My body snapped into a flurry of motion but I found it hard to move my limbs in the thick water and the constricting padded jacket. I tore the vestige away from me revealing the black tank top beneath and let the jacket fall away from me as I rushed to the surface and forced my head through the mirror-like barrier. Air rushed into my lungs as I took a huge breath feeling my wet bangs slap against my face and for a second I was fine. Until supple fingers wrapped around my neck and shoved me back under. I floundered and gave startled cry that sounded odd in the thick water as I fought against the limb that held me under. My hands tore at the dry sleeve that wrapped Maru’s hand and my skin could feel the air – the lifesaving air that I was swiftly running out of. But the fingers tightened around my windpipe and the arm showed no signs of slacking. I gasped in pain accidentally releasing more bubbles into the water and terror began to grip me – When I was suddenly pulled upwards.
I sputtered and coughed as my face felt the cool air of the cavern and the fingers at my throat relaxed somewhat to allow me a few breaths and then flexed once more to silence me. I looked up and saw that Maru was not looking at me this time, but across the water to Vaerin. I followed the gaze and saw the man he called a priest starring gravely in our direction. I tried to speak but it only came out in a choked gargle.
“Let Serrafina go, Maru.” Vearin said evenly. “She’s not what you’re after.”
I gripped Maru’s arm and tried to pull myself away but he jerked me closer to the pipe and increased his grip.
“It’s always good for a cat to have a mouse to play with.” Maru laughed still eyeing Vaerin. “Resurface the Core and this human might yet live.”
“I cannot do that, Maru.” Vaerin replied calmly. “The Core has been sealed and the seal’s controls have been destroyed…and you can’t swim.”
“You have back-up controls!” Maru snapped and I winced as his fingernails dug in to the back of my neck. My head was beginning to feel heavy as I tried desperately to wheeze in as much air as I could; my body began to grow cold and the water seemed to grow warmer. “Either tell me where the controls are and resurface the Core or she watch he die a horrible death!”
A strand of his hair fell around my face as he screamed at Vaerin, and in my own anger I reached up and pulled the strand so hard that it ripped right off his skull. Maru shrieked in pain and his eyes turned to regard me so harshly it seemed as if lasers would erupt from them and sear right through my head. Instead, Maru gripped my throat with his other hand with such violence that I thought my neck would snap from the sheer force as he shoved my back into the water. I struggled and squirmed again opening my mouth to scream but only a scant group of bubbles came out as I flailed in vain to free myself. I watched my face in the mirror of the surface glimpsing the ceiling of the cavern as the bubbles broke through and felt myself growing weak. I could feel my lungs burning, my mind became clouded, the pain in my neck was indescribable. I couldn’t breathe. I stretched my arm out above the surface and felt the cool air beyond and knew that I would never taste its sweetness again. My limbs lost their will and they sank back into the orange sea that surrounded me. I let my jaw go slack and felt the sweet tasting liquid flow in. It was warm. So warm.
I blinked.
But my reflection didn’t.
My eyes tried to focus as my reflection reached out to me and laid a reassuring hand against my check. I tried to speak, move, comprehend, but everything was growing dark. My reflection smiled just as my eyes began to close and that’s when it started.
The water swirled around me and I felt the fingers at my neck suddenly wrenched away. A force pressed around my chest squeezing the stale air from my lungs and my eyes shot open as the bubbles rushed past my lips. A vortex pushed me upwards and out of the water laying my on the safety of the irrigation pipe. I gasped and coughed nearly crying as I sucked in mouthful of sweet, precious, delicious air.
Then I heard the scream.
It was burbled and muffled followed by the sounds of thrashing and splashes. I tilted my head upward and saw nothing but the calm surface of the water as I let the oxygen work its way back into my system. Suddenly there was a light within the depths of the orange sea and I watched as it grew into a massive orb and then explode. But there was no sound and no force caused the water to even so much as ripple. I pushed myself up on my hands and knees watching as the light from the explosion drew nearer. It burst forth from the water in a blinding white column engulfing me and everything I could see from view. I shut my eyes but the light burned through and suddenly I felt nothing. All I new was the light.
Do not fear the light, Serrafina.
The voice that seemed to come from everywhere echoed like bells in a bright cathedral
“It’s…so beautiful.”
It is yours, Serrafina. It is the great gift hidden inside you.
“Gift? From whom”
Be a light to this world, my daughter.
Then the voice was gone and the light faded into darkness.
“Serrafina….serrafina?”
I awoke with a start wrapped in a blanket and sitting in a very soft chair. Professor Vearin was gazing softly at me and was flanked by two men in SWAT armaments. I had been taken to the entrance foyer of the Moon Sanctuary far above the cavern that housed the Prismatic Core. One of the SWAT men stepped aside for a Medic to come and check my eyes and asked me a few simple questions before patting my hand and then vanishing once more.
“Profess-” I tried to say but it came out in a painful rasp.
His green eyes looked kindly on me as knelt down and placed a hand on my shoulder, “Don’t try to speak Miss Alexandria. Maru gave you a smart throttling.”
I reached up and felt the bruises on my throat and felt a bandage on the back of my neck where his fingernails had sliced through. I gave him a questioning glance.
“It was the sea, Miss Alexandria.” Vearin explained. “The liquid that fills the depths of that cavern is not ordinary cave water. It responds to those in great need and punishes those of mal intent, but neither you nor Maru knew that. For this I apologize for not coming to your aid sooner, had I tried to step in Maru would have thought twice about drowning you and might have done something much worse.”
I swallowed with much difficulty and continued to stare puzzled at him.
“You are wondering how you got mixed up in all this I take it?”
I nodded.
“You were merely a means to his end, Miss Alexandria. Maru was notorious to your other classmates as a rogue and most untrustworthy individual. Your arrival was an unexpected shift in his favour and he used your ignorance to get what he wanted.”
I nodded but there was still one more set of questions I wanted set to rest.
Professor Vaerin cocked his head to one side, “And why was Maru after the Prismatic Core? What is the Moon Sanctuary? Why did he call me priest? Whom did Maru want to resurrect?”
I blinked my face hopeful.
“These answers are best left absent from your knowledge, Miss Alexandria.”
I stared at him. I was almost killed by a crazed guy with supernatural abilities, swallowed in an alien light, I heard voices, wrecked my bike that’s lying God knows where, and I never even got to do my essay – and ….he won’t answer the few things I want so badly to know.
Professor Vearin brushed the red bangs away from my face, “And don’t worry about tomorrow’s essay or attending your classes today. I think we can overlook that considering the circumstances you need to rest. Now let’s get you back to your dormitory.”
I let him help me to my feet and lead me outside into the beautiful dawn. The sun was rising over the mountain ridges in the distance and the sky with alight with pale blue white and red. A lush forest stood not far from the well kept lawn near the road’s edge. The ambulance was pulling out and the SWAT members were wandering around to their own tasks. A red SUV was sitting at the edge of the circular drive before the white marble steps. Professor Vearin led me down the steps and to the vehicle.
“I will be by to check on you later this evening, Miss Alexandria.” He said with a slight smile. “If you will excuse me.”
Then he was gone. I huddled in the blanket and looked around unsure of what to do when I turned and saw a boy round the back of the red SUV. He rubbed a hand over his short spiked brown hair and his blue eyes looked me over with concern as he approached me.
“Serra. I heard about what happened and came as soon as I could. Are you alright?” he said genuinely.
“Roger?” I whispered as clearly as I could. “What are you doing here?”
“I’m sorry I let this happen.” He suddenly wrapped his arms around me and held me close, “I’m here to protect you, Serrafina and I’m never going to let you out of my sight from now on.”
Totally confused but overjoyed by the loving attention, I just stood there in his arms and let him hold me. Then I noticed something white standing in the trees. I blinked and lifted my head for a better view.
Is that…a man in armor…white armor?
Roger pulled away from me, “Lets get you back, Serra.”
I blinked and the armored figure vanished.
I climbed into the passengers seat of the SUV and Roger shut the door behind me. He paused to gaze into the forest and his eyes hardened as the blue iris roved across the greenery.
“I won’t let you hurt her again.”

And THAT is the end of my dream.

Hope you enjoyed sorry for the longness!

   Problems and Icognito
Sorry for the brief absence ^^''.
Things have...taken up my attention.

First off. I had some D&D problems this past Friday.
I spent the week before using up a lot of my personal time to get three new players, whom I knew through a personal friend and who I thought were my friends, into my game. Two of them turned out to be a big mistake. The first one only wanted to argue with the other party members throughout the entire game at one point blatantly yelling at me. This, woke up my roomate, who was quite upset that A: he was woken up so rudely, B:didn't like the guy in the first place an only allowed him into our apartment because I begged him, and C: the guy was yelling at me over a game in my own house.
The second guy, was brought over to the apartment without my consent, and being the kind-hearted person I was, couldn't turn him away. He told me earlier in the week that he wasn't going to be at the game because he had to work - so his character sheet wasn't finished when he arrived. I tried to get him to the table so I could finish his stats - and he ignored my completely, parked himself on my couch and buried himself in his PSP. Then at the last minute he decided it was time for him to join in. Then all HE did was attack our Rakshasa chracter, and refused to attack any of the monsters/NPC that we encountered during the game, and talked trash because he's "the baddest mf in the world."
Did I mention that they showed up late, and that I had to call them four times to ask why and four times they were doing something more important elswhere?
So not a fun session. Roomate and I have decided that those two are never allowed over to the apartment again.
Two days later I talked to both of them about what happened. The first guy was alright with it and behaved like a reasonable adult and even apologized to me. The second, PSP-guy, did the exact opposite. Bad mouthed my roomate and myself and said many hateful and ugly things to me.
It made me very sad. My heart is to soft and I constantly worry about offending people and this was just another example of why I need to toughen up.
I called my Navy recruiter yesterday to see if they had my new ship date since I switched my job classifications, and was dismayed. Apparently the person who can allow me to get the new seat has been on emergency leave and his office is having a hard time getting a replacement to do his job - so for right now I am still a Gunner's Mate and I am scheduled to ship Jan 23. MY recruiter assured me that he will do all that he can to get me the Cryptology position. I believe him and I'm going to go by to see him later on this morning.

Other than those occurances- I'm doing wonderful! ^-^

I got to vote! (even though my candidate didn't win -.-' but I exercised my american right and I feel great about it). I found two more players for my D&D game that seem more mellow than the other two, but I'm taking it slow with these two. ^-^ Maglin has told me many interesting 'bumps' that may lie in our D&D road...it is delicious!!
I shall let you know how it goes down. I realized that I was role playing my character wrong, and I still haven't quite got her pinned but I've made a lot of mental progression with her personality.
Both my jobs have been keeping my quite busy since the holiday season is kicking in. We've been receiving a ton of our holiday supplies and stock in a lot earlier than last year -and finding places to fit it all is a chore in and of itself! o.o
My kitten, Michi-ru, is growing so big! ^o^ I shall take pictures to show you...eventually. oo''
I have ALMOST beaten Enchanted Arms on the 360 - you're going down Devil Golem King!!!! >.O
Listening to Cobra Commander aka Starscream rattle on about world domination is hysterical!!!
Random I know, but my roomie is watching it whilst I type this ^-^.

I shall try to get to sites later on today so check in the evening and I should have dropped by.

love to all and more soon!

   Halloween.....
Last night was so loooong!
But there was fun to be had ^-^.
Homo-sama put on a purple robe and black hukama pants and it took all my will power not to fall out in the floor laughing. He's was trying to be a samurai....He is way too fat for those type of pants!!!! XD And I don't think he has a clue what a Samurai is...o.o... All Japanese people should be offended.
The Drow's mother forced him to bring his costume into work and he only put it on to pose for a store picture and then immediately took it off. He did wear the black trench coat around beacuse this WICKED fog rolled in overnight and covered everything. I thought I was in SILENT HILL ! o.O
The Drow went as a 1930's bounty hunter. Very sexy ^-^ , if he wasn't scowling and trying to flick off the camera -.-' ...
Rasvim, my roomate, he went as an Edwardian Spectre. I painted his face white and put blood on him ^^. He looked great with his grey top hat and skull topped pimp cane.
I went as Jerico from the Darkwatch video game.
Everyone thought I was sexxay!!!! ^^
We took pictures so hopefully I can post them later.

To clarify some of my D&D ramblings from yesterday:
The world of D&D that our party is traversing through, the planet is called Toriel.
It's roughly three times the size of earth.
The world is composed of three main continents called the Forgotten Realms.
One continent has a midievil setting, the second has an ancient china/japan setting and the third has an arabic-like guise.
WE are on the eastern coast of the Midievil continent in a city called Waterdeep.
Beneath the city of a labrynth called Undermount.
Now a brief description of the Drow Race:
Drows are evlves that fell from grace and lost their high elven magical abilities and leaned towards evil alignments.
The Drow were driven below the surface world by the good elves and because of this they have black skin and white hair - but still look elven.
Their main diety, who convinced the dark aligned elves to rebell in the first place, is a half-spider half dark elf goddes named Lolth. Lolth is a lesser diety but you still DO NOT want to mess with her. She can do MANY terrible things to her enemies....things worth that death and torture...
Drow society is matriarchal, meaning women are in charge. Men are treated only slightly better than slaves. And Drow hate mostly everything, including each other.

Speaking of Drow and hate...
I had a nightmare yesterday during my daytime rest. And it was a nightmare soley for one reason and one reason only...
Dismauld.
Doesn't strike fear into you? Well let me tell you why it terrifies me.
Dismauld is a Drow Assassin. The BEST assassin in all the Forgotten Realms. He's taken contracts on Dragons and killed them...single handedly. This guy is so intuned with being an assassin that nothing else strays his attention from it. Lolth herself has offered to bear his children and he has cussed her out to her face in public but she respects him so much for his worth as an assassin, that he has lived to insult her so. Most men, not matter what the race, that even look at Lolth suffer miserably. Not even money will dissuade him from a contract. He enjoys assassinating thing so much, and he performs his job with a glee that makes Evil dieties shiver.
And his abilites are crazy! He has a cloak that gives him all the abilities of a Vampire Lord without the drawbacks. He moves so fast that you won't even see him coming when he cuts your throat; you just start choking on your blood and die wondering why...

I don't have too much time or space to elaborate just yet but I will post it later, and I" wish not to bore you ^^'' all at once...

More soon, sleep is calling. I just hope I can steel myself for the dangers...

Explination soon.

Love to all

   HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Behold the day when the Dead walk and voices beyond the veil of darkness do speak...

Last night was a normal night at work. I threw all four isles of HBA (Health and Beauty Applications) and am very proud of myself for getting ALL of the freight up this time ^^''.

I sat with Maglin and The Drow again during lunch break at 2:06 A.M. They were talking about one of our upcoming D&D adventures and instantly my stomach began to churn just a little.
The actual campaign is called: The City of the Spider Queen.
Item:
The "City"s true name is Menzo-beranzon. It is found below the surface world in a place called the Underdark.
Item:
The Spider Queen is infact a goddess called. Lolth.

Why do my insides shiver at this, you ask?...
One phrase sums it up nicely:
Menzo-beranzon and its Spider Goddess are full of things that will want to kill us!
For one, it's full of Drow (Dark Elves) and I'm not talking just a few. This is the largest Drow city in the Forgotten Realms.
Second, Lolth is a vengeful, spiteful, nasty half spider, half-drow monstrosity. If she discovers what I am and that I'm trotting around in her city - I'm going to become instant 'play thing' and numero-uno on her top priority list of things to capture and torment.
Also, the people (I don't really know if you could call them that) could honestly care less if something ill befalls you. You get mugged on the street, have a rogue wizard toss an Enslavement spell on you - everyone civilian in sight will point, laugh, and say "Ha! You are teh suck!!!"
Did I mention all the drows? Yeah, they aren't nice. They don't even have fun when they're doing something bad which is all the time (I will make a side note here, however, that there are a FEW nice drow, but they are either in hiding, trying to find a way to destroy all traces of their heritage, Lolth's plaything, Lolth has turned them into a Dryder, or DEAD).

Upon hearing this, I feel slightly less apprehensive about our party entering Undermount in the next session and that Menzo-beranzon will be sometime after that. Were it not for the sheer fact that you could wander into Undermount, that crazy Wizard's twisted underground labirynth, and come out stinking rich and at least 7-8 levels higher that when you dropped down into the well entrance. I would not be going anywhere near it.

If anyone is confused, please let me know and I will clarify ^-^

I hope to post my group's D&D adventures for you guys to see.

On a more realistic note, I am really excited about tonight, because my boss, Jeremie-Sama, is going ot let us dress up for work! ^o^ Yea! I've got my costume all laid out and everything. And he said there's going to be a contest and pictures and PARTAY! I'm going as Jerico from Darkwatch - only I'm a much sexier version ^_^.

More soon. Everyone have a Safe and Happy Hallow's Eve!

   Not so Scary Movies...
I went over to my mother's house last night and watch the AMC horror movie Monsterfest X marathon, in the hopes that we could watch a good spookie movie. Guess what we got...
Children of the Corn.
YES! >.O
That steaming pile of rocketing Cornstalk *edit*.
All those people needed to do was give those kids a swift spanking; I would have found the best spanking device and shown them She Who Beats that @$$ Behind the Rows! XD
And I would have just burnt the cornfield anyway.

We ate pizza though and it's been a while since I had that wonderful tasty pie. ^-^

Work last night has been officially dubbed 'Flour Night'. I got an entire bag of Pillsbury's Best All Purpose flour dumped right on me...oh the mess...it was horrible... Brad-san (another co-worker) saw my ghost wandering the isle in search of a dustpan and asked if I needed any help.
That and Jeremy-sama decided to put poor Maglin (not his real name) on Isle Three which he's never worked and Jeff-sama on the easy isles. So not only did I work my isle but I ended up working two extra isle. Fortunately I got new music for my MP3 Player and it helped keep me hiped for the tasks! ^o^

More soon!
