if you can't read the title, sorry. it says "new year's post" in geeky internet characters. but anyways....HAPPY BELATED NEW YEAR! hope your guys' holiday seasons went well. mine was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. i visited my folks out in missouri and we had an out of town wrestling tournament when i got back, but none of it was that out of the ordinary.

it's finally getting colder here in the desert. i've actually had to wear my coat instead of my light jackets. but we still don't have any snow. my pre-cal teacher swears it's because he put up rain gutters.^^ maybe so. but i can live without snow.

i bought all of the samurai champloo dvds over the holiday. i've watched "the art of altercation" like fifteen times. i just love that dude who beatboxes during the whole episode. im trying to learn how to do that too.it's not going so well right now, but im workin' on it.

i got an ipod for xmas! well i got the shuffle. but that's still good! i've put like 4 whole CDs on it and some other stuff. but the cool thing about it is that the speakers i got with it are the BEST speakers i've ever heard. now i can finally film my ipod commericals i've always wanted to do! ^_^

   where have u been?
*takes a small step forward* ahem, ummmmm hi guys. how's everyone doin'? okay, ill admit it. i've been scarce for these past three months. but i'm here to update and maybe to stay.

i have samurai champloo fever right now as you can possibly guess from my avatar. i even have "battle cry" on my mp3 player right now.*listens to it and bops his head*. so ill tell ya's how my life has been going.

one of the reasons i haven't updated was because i had a girlfriend. it was cool for the first few months, but then she started getting real clingy and wouldn't let me have some space. so we broke it off. still good friends though. i've been keeping busy in journalism and wrestling. i actually took second place at my school's tournament! not bad if i do say so myself (proclaims his 1337 n355). today i have another one, it's gonna be a long one too. two day tournament. ill be bored as all hell, but ill try to keep busy with graphic novels. like samurai champloo vol.1 heheheh.

again im sorry for not updating for a while and ill try to be around more often. peace to all my people and i hope your lives are going well.

   keepin my groove on
hello ladies and gentlemen, gentlemen and ladies. uhhh sorry for not updating for a while. i've been sooooo busy, it was hard to find time to update. well here goes.

today is pretty chilly here in the desert. a cold front came in and it was like 50 degrees when i woke up.burrrrr. but i think it is better. right now it is parent/teacher confrence time, but my mom or dad hasn't shown up yet. they probably won't. but that's alright. ill get my report card tommorow anyways. also this week is homecoming week and i have been dressing up all week. one day was pajama day, then another day was gilligan's island day, yesterday was class day when i did some cosplaying (i was solid snake from MGS3) and today is spirit day. there is a HUGE pep rally scheduled and im going to it. there should be fireworks. ill try to get some pics for you guys.

hello again everyone and welcome to another edition of korey pwns ddr newbies at his arcade. yes i have dubbed it "my" arcade ever since i threw down like four more people at the machine. cocky little bastards.

but enough of the Didder news.    i pwn u biatch
i have been hard at work this past week practicing for the tourney that's coming up. that's probably why i haven't updated in some time. well here you go people. im updating.

so like i said the DDR for Katrina victims tourney is going on two weeks from now. so i went to the movie theater (where it's being held) to practice some more. So i start playing and these two guys walk up to me and this conversation ensues

Guy #1: hey are you good?
Korey: >< Maybe
Guy #2: can you play on heavy?
Korey: >< uh...yeah (by this time my combo has ended and im really pissed)
guy#1: then let us play with you after we are done.
Korey: ok, ok, ok.

So the guys jump on the machine and each play a round with me. these guys abstively poselutely SUCKED. i played some of the easiest songs (by my standards) and these guys couldn't keep up. so i guess i got better at the machine.

Hong Hing (mew wem) has updated on her site! hooray. steph hasn't updated in a little while, but she has school and stuff. i haven't checked in with shannen yet, but you can bet things are going well. so kudos to everbody and i hope you are having a great day.

hello there, the angel from my nightmares
hah another music lyric pun. oh hey guys and gals, how ya doin? really? that's glad to know. well let me tell you about how im doing since i haven't posted in a while.

so ive been helping out with katrina relief in my town. i've decided to tell you guys where i live otherwise you will get the wrong idea in thinking i live in san antonio or houston. i live in el paso, texas. it is on the far west side of texas near mexico. but im getting off topic so here's the master plan for katrina relief. ...

a friend of mine mentioned to me that some of the New Orleans evacuees are going to be here in town so he wanted to donate some money. and in a truly like me fashion this happened to be a DDR tournament. can ya believe it? ^^ well i think that it is cool because all of the money goes to the people who are living in our town. i hope i get a DDR to help people badge from the boy scouts. j/k.

in recent news, supreme court justices are being rearranged and gas prices are going up. but who cares? because ff7:advent children was released in Japan! im already trying to import it. oh yeah and i got a new picture for my site. it's 2D again, but hey that'll work right? hope you guys have a good day.

   wake me up when september ends
omg i just listened to the new green day song and that is probably the most depressing song i've ever had the displeasure of listening to. dont get me wrong, the song's sound is great. but the message is really bloody depressing man. geez. get a live journal and an evanescence album for christ's sake billie joe. your tarishing the good green day name!

i actually am into green day. even before american idiot. dookie and nimrod were both spectacular albums, even though good riddance is not something that should be played at graduations. but it is. ><

now on to today's news. today went okay for me. not too much went on. the usual stuff. homework, discussions, deadline for newspaper and stuff. it was pretty hot today around 95 with some humidity. but overall today was just another day.

if not now, then when?
adam recently revealed the new myO site is done and they are not planning for launch until sometime in october. hipefully this will attract even more hits and fans to the site. good luck to adam, james, and to all of the staffers here. we're rooting for you!

today is officialy the 2nd month since i turned 16 and id like to celebrate that. happy month day anniversary day to me. oh wait it's tommorrow. well kudos to me for that. im just being vain now so ill stop.

i recently watched a special g4 report on "sex in games". it brought up the topic of an infamous mod in a game that will remain unamed for the fans sake. but said game had a sexual scene depicted in it that got ripped off of the shelves for it's content. the game was the first one to recieve an adults only rating despite other games that have questionable content in them as well. so i ask. how much is TOO much for video game developers? games with excessive violence get a mature rating, but sexual games get an adults only thing? we have shows on mainstream television that are equally as offensive, but they aren't getting ripped off of the air. it seems like a double standard to me.

in other news.... shannen (the lost sindar) recently is celebrating her 1500th visit to her site and id like to send a special shout out.

   another day another dollar
well it's the second week of school and im totally ready for it to be over. i've got homework out the wazoo, but im in dual credit classes, so i guess it comes with the territory. i went to the anime networks website recently and found some pretty cool stuff there. it's definitely worth a look. www.theanimenetwork.com

it's been pretty cloudy here the past couple of days, but no rain! i love the rain in case you didn't know. i can't complain though, two weeks ago there was a flash flood warning and that was cool to watch the rain absolutely crush the ground. it was that fast. i thought it was some sort of hurricane.

the weekend was the perfect remedy for the school week. i did some homework, chores, but nothing too taxing. i just enjoyed myself. but enough about me lets talk about you guys.

i went to steph's website and she seems like she's really happy with her boyfriend. so kudos and claps to her. this is her 1st official year of high school. again kudos and claps for you steph, good luck in high school.

i haven't really had the time to visit other peoples sites recently and i apologize for that. i will try to fix that. hope you guys have a great day.

hello again to everyone. it's korey (who else). it's the first day of my junior year in high school. just 2 more years to go! today has gone alright for being school. all my teachers are nice and i think i'll have a good year this year. im doing newspaper and yearbook this year. most of my classes that i have to take, so i didn't really get to choose a whole bunch of electives.

my summer went okay as far as summers go. lots of tv, sitting around, but i had tons of school functions to do that made it feel like school had already come. in a way you could say that school is a lot like the month november. lots of nothing happening except for thanksgiving. so i would like to use the gorillaz again. today's lyrics come from their demon days CD.
