Which Guy in Death Note Will Love You?
Your guy is...Near (Nate River)!!!Near is known for being the complete logical (to looking like he is at the point of no emotions), scientific, smart, and more of a passive rather than active person. Near-haters believe that he isn't really good at getting stuff done and is too much of a goody-goody two shoes, and doesn't care for anyone. That's all wrong.Near is obviously smart, in that he was #1 at Wammy's House. However, that didn't make him #1 in the real world. He needed mello's work to help him and with that he was able to piece the puzzle together. While people say that he is a rip-off of L, they are not altogether true. He certainly shares many behaviors such as his eyes, smile, his logical way of thinking (compared to mello), and his insistence of kira. Even the way he sits (on one knee) is similar to L. however, he is different in that he is naturally a very childish person (look at all of those toys!) forced into a very serious job. he never asked for the kira case. he wasn't being a stuck up snob. While he doesn't show it, he does care for both L and Mello. Although he states of l that "if you don't finish the puzzle you're a loser" he admits at the finale that there is no way he could have surpassed L by himself. It states in How to Read that Near spent the most time making Mello's doll and cared a lot about mello. Other hints are shown when he does not ask the spk to take mello down immediately even though mello is threatening to shoot him, does not ever respond once to mello's antagonisms of him, and gives mello as much praise in the end stating: "Only mello and I as a team can be equal to L...even better!".Near may seem emotionless and might even look like he is ignoring you, but he's just a shy boy and doesn't know exactly what to say. This might start out slow, but Near will truly love you!
