This morning, I was walking down the hill towards my bus stop and slipped on a patch of ice. I fell on my ass and it hurt real bad and I think I have a giant bruise.

It was closer up to my back/tailbone area. Otherwise it probably wouldn't have bruised.
As it is, I don't know for sure that it has... but it hurts real bad when you push on it.

If I hadn't flung my hands down and caught myself, I would have landed on my back and hit my head off the sidewalk.
And then I would have not gotten up for a while.
Whether it was because I got brain damage, a concussion, or just 'cause it hurt real bad.
I wouldn't have gotten up.

But it really was a very funny situation.

I was walking along, stepped in some innocent looking snow, and my feet went out from under me.
"OH!"
I hit the ground.
"FUCK!"

I dragged myself to my feet, laughing and limping.

It was priceless.

I wonder if I do it again tomorrow morning, will be it as funny the second time?

Cold weather is a safety hazard.
