Here's my wonderful innocent little story thing for my class... Rescue He had been preparing for what seemed like an eternity, and finally the time had come. Nothing would stop him tonight. Casey was on a mission. Someone very precious to him had been kidnapped and was under heavy guard in a nearly inpenetrable fortress of doom. A herd of wild stallions would not stop him. Not tonight. He would get his beloved back if it cost him an arm and a leg! Silently, he slipped from his headquarters, slithering silently through the labyrinth which he had studied extensively in preparation for this. He knew it like the back of his hand, and reached his beloved's holding place without alerting a soul. Cautiously, every muscle tensed, every sense on edge, he snuck right past the guards at the front entrance while they drifted sleepily along their rounds. He tip-toed through the field of booby traps carefully, aware that the slightest misstep would alert the guardian and endanger his beloved. Finally, he reached the platform where his beloved was held, bound tightly to the guardian that spelled both their deaths if it was disturbed. Reaching out, he carefully, carefully, freed her, freezing halfway through when a loud growl bubbled forth from the creature holding his beloved captive. Long moments were spent silent and still, the rescuer barely breathing, until it proved a false alarm. Then, with hands he forced to be steady, he released his precious completely from her bonds and suppressed a whoop of triumph. Gathering her in his arms, he turned back and left as silently as he'd come, passing the drifting guards quickly and slipping back outside. Once clear of danger, he shut his little sister's door and hurried quietly back down the hall to his bedroom, curling up happily with his teddy bear clutched in his arms. His senior year of high school started tomorrow, and he knew there was no way he could have slept well enough without his precious Teddy. XD Okay so it's not perfect cuz it's my first try at something like that, but it amused me to write it, and that's all that matters. What'd you think?
