Help
I'm thinking of applying to write for Purple Sky Magazine... I was gonna ask my mother yesterday if I could, but I slept until 2:30, didn't leave my bedroom until 4, was having second thoughts about applying (I need to get some serious motivation... i need a personal motivational speaker... Someone I can carry in my purse or my pocket and when I need some self-esteem, I can just take them out and talk...)... Then we ate dinner, and I had forgotten, then my mother fell asleep on the couch and then she went to bed. So I didn't ask her, so I don't know if I'll be applying or not.
If she says no, then I won't be. If she says yes, then I might be. I need help figuring out stuff... I need more people who KNOW STUFF. All my friends are my age and know nothing more than I do about the real world and how to apply for a job writing for a magazine... It gives instructions on the website, but they're not geared for morons like me to understand.

Jobs
Join the Purple SKY team and be a part of the only English print magazine dedicated to Japanese rock music. Purple SKY is looking for motivated individuals who want to make a difference and influence the Japanese music scene in North America and abroad. All applicants should email a resume or proposal with two sample writing pieces pertaining to the position being applied for.

Feature Writer
Our features writers should have a unique voice and style. Motivation and dedication are key to showcasing the artists we wish to present to readers. Interview and research skills are necessary. Japanese language skills are a big plus.

Editorial Writers
Our editorial writers should have a strong voice and be individual thinkers who aren't afraid of letting their opinions known. These opinions will help purple SKY develop new content based on ideas, news and releases.

Music CD/DVD reviewers - non visual kei
Reviewers should send in two samples of review work, between 200-400 words. We are not looking for song by song reviews and want our reviewers to develop their own unique style. In depth knowledge of music history and the current music scene in Japan is a plus.

I only listed those three jobs because those are the ones I could possibly do... The other ones say stuff about traveling, and I can't do that.

Question #1: I don't have a resume, so what does it mean "proposal"? What would a proposal include?

Question #2: I asked them if they set age limits on their writers, and they don't, so... I assume I would work at home and email them my articles? If there would be any traveling involved in this job, I couldn't take it.

Question #3: When it says "sample writing pieces"... Would I just make up my own articles? Just like... pick a band or something to write about and act like I'm writing an article for the magazine? And the CD reviews... Would I have to have the CDs? Would they have to be recent releases?! I don't know!

Question #4: There's also a "Street Team Application" on the page... What does that mean? I doubt it's something I could do. I get the impression it involves traveling or going out and interviewing people or something...

Question #5: What's a feature and what's an editorial? *facedesk*
Q#6: WHY DO I WANT TO WRITE FOR A MAGAZINE WHEN I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A FEATURE OR AN EDITORIAL IS?

Q#7: Help me?

*depressed*
