Journal #8: The Phantoms Invite Death...
Two days ago, my squad and I went to search for the phantom shinobi. We ended up at an abandoned cathedral in the middle of nowhere. We went inside, and started to look around, when the doors slammed shut behind us. They leapt out of the shadows and began their assult. We fought bravely, and it appeared that we'd win. But, one of the ninja pinned me to the wall with a pillar of stone. I watched helplessly as Doom, Reki, and Emi faced them. They held their own against them for a while, but it was no use. The first to fall was Reki. A kunai had found its way to his heart. Emi cryed out for him, but she fell next. At least six shuriken sunk into her back. Doom was shocked, he could barely move. Suddenly, he went berserk on them. He slashed at every side, with blazing kunai. But, he only left scratches. The phantoms pulled out giant kunai, and crucified him, once for every scracth he left on them. He fell limp. At that point, I couldn't stand any more. The demon within me became angry, and I didn't fight its influence. I hit the pillar with a blast of air. The phantoms looked shocked, as I lunged towards them. I pinned one to the wall with my sword, and turned to the others. My hands were a blur, as I made hand signs for my jutsu. A ring of fire surrounded them, and the wind picked up. I raised my hand in the air, and the fire rose with it. The fire swirled like a tornado around the phantoms. Their screams of pain was like music to my ears. As the dust continued to burn, I turned to burn the last one, but it had disappeared. I pulled my sword out of the wall, and left. The cathedral burned brightly in night as I walked back home. My squads funeral will be this week. I don't think I'll train anyone else. I'll just send them to the Leaf Village. Any thoughts?
