Powers of Darkness
I step out into the moon lit night
Where all kinds of stars are in sight
The cold air touches my face
As I gaze deeply into outer space
I look at the planets in the midnight sky
And watch as the shooting stars fly by
I see the Milky Way
Sitting just over the sapphire bay
The stars shine like crystals
As a far off galaxy twinkles
I lastly look to the reddish moon
Which will fade away all too soon
I think of how it’s such a beautiful thing
And the power of calm, night can bring
