Screams In The Night
Eyes move within the night,
Pupils dilating to a tiny sphere.
A world of darkness filled with fright,
Monsters whose footsteps are drawing near.

You can try to run,
You can try to fight.
Should they catch you,
The color crimson will cover your sight.

Screams echo in your ears,
Claws ripping into delicate flesh,
The laughter comes to join the tears,
The stench of blood and piercing screams beginning to mesh.

Elongated fangs drip a deep red,
This creature of the night beginning to feast.
Eyes closed and the heart dead,
Your soft tissue, the meal, for the beast.
