Long time no update!
Sorry about the wait, but my parents kept me off the computer for almost a whole week after i nearly broke some of the equipment. Anyway, i saw Pirates of the Carribean 3 on Friday, went bowling with my friends on Saturday, trying to wrap up some big projects at the end of school (only 11 days left!) and also trying to work a lot more on Gray Area.
Big part of the work on Gray Area, making a few changes to what the characters look like. I think I made a couple of them look a little too muscular and kinda squashed the proportions on all of them. So they're gonna be a little more in proportion and look more like they're 16 and 17 years old like they really are when I upload the pages. Working right now on penciling an idea for the cover, I'll post it in ink form when it's at that point and wait to hear what you guys think. Later.
PS. Fiddling around with the background options, biding time til I got the pic I'm gonna use as both the cover of the first Gray Area book and the new background finished. Hope you'll be ablt to put up with the technical difficultys til then.

Good weekend over here
Let's see, my 8-year-old cousin Regan's first communion was today and I wanted to see her again. She's hyper but she's real creative. I mean, she's got a great imagination and she came up with what I'm gonna use as the most common line of dialog in Gray Area. (Not telling you what exactly it is yet, just that it'll be the first book's title.)
Well, I got two new pics up, only one done by me, the other was drawn by Brian O'Connor, one of my friends in school who's INSANELY good. And it's his work that inspired my latest avatar. Gimme some feedback here.
Also, Mother's Day is tommorow and I got my mom these white gold earrings with lab-created tanzanites in them, I bet she'll like them. What about you guys, what're you getting your mothers, just curious. I wanna know what's going on with you guys lately. But I won't be able to comment right away, I'm feeling a little tired right now. See ya tomorrow!

Look what i found!
I just submitted two new pics now. A new Gray Area character profile up (finally!)— that's right, A new character profile, not the TWO character profiles you were expecting. The other one will be up in a matter of days, hopefully, so roll out that red carpet for the absolute central character of Gray Area.
So what's the other one, you ask? Well, I had an unfinished pic I was gonna use for a Super Spy High character profile, but i never got around to finishing, but i figured let's just send it as it is, who needs a backdrop? They should both be up by tomorrow, I think. I'll get to work on the main character profile soon, but for now, I think i'll try to squeeze in a panel or two on the first episode of Gray Area. Later.

Tough break…
Ugh… I can't join tae kwon do right now, can't scrounge up the money, and it's a little too much effort too stay on the ball trying to pull up my grades in the fourth quarter. I seriously need help, my classes are just too much to balance, specially cause I get distracted from the important stuff to easy.
You guys have any suggestions to help me focus trying to study? It's kinda hard for me, I couldn't keep up this morning in class so I spent more or less all the time before lunch working on a drawing of Carmen Sandiego. (Yes, I've gotten re-aquainted with the show once I saw it on YouTube. Is that such a bad thing?) I just need help trying to focus, and I hope you guys can help me. Could you offer some advice?

Tae kwon do problem
Okay, so my friends said they wanted to all go and we could all join at the same time (I'm a no-belt right now, haven't actually started yet) but Schae and Danny probably won't be able to afford it and Arianna's the only other one that might be able to join.
Here's the deal, for the monthly course if one person joins it's $137 a month. If two or three start together it's $82 a month about, and if four or more people join at the same time it's $55 a month. I wanna start no matter what, the thing is the more people join at the same time the cheaper it is, right? You'd think they'd join if it'd be that much cheaper if everyone started together not just one or two people.
At this point I just wanna join don't care wether or not anyone else does, the friends joining are a bonus. But how do you think they can convince their parents to get them to join? And if my parents keep me from going since it's kinda expensive, what can I tell them? Get back to me on that, the Sarge needs to find out. Later.

(slaps self in forehead) Forgot!
Yeah, I meant to tell y'all about the convention, I brought my friends Arianna and Schae (I know, uncommon names) and I invited my friend Danny, but he couldn't come. (These are the guys we're all taking tae kwon do on Friday evenings.) We didn't cosplay but I know I'll have something in mind for next year. And let's see who I saw there: a Sango-and-Miroku couple, a dozen Kisuke hats, Ichigo immitaters, a Gaara cosplay (Schae went absolutely nuts, that's her fave character by a long shot,) there were Ed Elrics, one of those Shin Chan characters, a real good Ash Ketchum getup (from the Advanced series) and let's not forget a Naruto trio all in the same place. That got the girls goins to.
Schae: Could you go ask them?
Arianna: I'll ask one if you ask the other.
But actually Schae asked both questions: whether it was the Shadow Clone thing and who was the real one. Of course, they started pointing fingers at each other, but it turns out they didn't even know each other.
And we got the usual buttons and T-shirts, sat in for part of an interview with FUNimation voice actress Colleen Clinkenbeard, came across a cute Bonsly and Croagunk, took pics of virtually everyone in costume.
I got two new volumes of Bleach, wanted to get the first two volumes of Death Note too (my friends kept mentioning what a great series it is,) but they were all gone by Saturday, only had later volumes there. And I had Japanese food for the first time (it's true, I never had sushi before.) The crab meat and cucumber rolls were good. I also had some shrimp teriyaki but it took me a while to realize what I was picking up the food with was just a toothpick to keep the container closed. XD
Then the stories and stuff. I got two books and two posters from this pair of mangaka named Ophillia Lin and Moul Kim, they created a site called MusaJump.com. They also drew each of us as a ninja or samurai, whichever we chose, and I picked samurai. I was also surprised to find another anime fan that wasn't that big a Naruto fan, but me and Ms. Lin ended up in a converstion about how the series's plot could be a little less repeating.
Then we moved on and this other guy gave me a 16-page book called "Where You Once Belonged." It says in the inside cover that that's what he made after about 8 or 9 years of taking apart and putting the story together again. The main character's a sorta antihero type, it seems like, but it says he was originally made to be a more of a sweet, justice-driven person instead. But that wouldn't've made for an intresting series, right?
So then there's this woman I showed her what I've made for characters in my latest story, and she drew a manga-y kind of my headshot. The girls said the hair came out a little weird, the gel was wearing off I guess, I told them to help and Arianna said "you WANT us to mess up your hair?"
Oh, on the way back home we met this trio of girls and one of them said "i thought we were the only people who poked each other in the head for fun." They told us about the Cosplay Chess thing we missed most of, it was Sugary vs. Sour (personality-wise, I think those were the names they used) and they tried to remember and finally said Sugary won with only a few pieces left on board.
And one more subject. I think I came up with a new name for the new story. "The Afterworld" is now known as "Gray Area," and I'm only a little worried that title can be compared to "Bleach." If you notice the new fanart's missing, that's because I edited to replace all instances of the old title. It should be back up in a few hours thou. Anyway, tae kwon do tomorrow, homework load hopefully won't be that much.
Oh! And there's a big history project coming up and all the presentation dates are staggered. And with the help of one of my two project partners, I was lucky enough to pull the latest presentation date available: June 1. Good considering we're gonna be a person short for a bit, the other partner might not be in for a little while cause he broke his wrist the other day. And I think that's all (Wow for the long post,) and til next time this is the Sarge signing off. DISMISSED!

Hey
Well, it looks like some point over the past two days finally got my 300th hit. Yes, I know I've been here for like only a couple months short of a year and I could be visiting a bit more often, but I have a few more other email places and a few other things getting in the way… like a tae kwon do lesson just like a half hour or so from now.
I like the ideas I'm hearing for a new title, but actually, I guess I decided to leave the name completely alone for now. If I think of a good name to change it too, I'll let you guys know and fix every instance of the old name in my art. I'm trying to write a little bit more about the main center of the story, it's a litle tough, but i think i might be okay. I'll be on again later, but now gonna work on "The Afterworld" and get ready to go to that tae kwon do lesson. Later.

Hmm… (brain freeze!)
Yeah, I kinda found out someone else used the title "Afterworld," it's a series on YouTube i think, and I'm considering changing the title of the story. But it's not like that's the only guy that's used that name, they're just all happening at the same time.
Too bad the only thing I can come up with is "Ghost Town." Should I even bother changing the title? And if you think I should, do you have any suggestions for a new title? Try to get back to me on that soon, I'm probably gonna be going to my first anime convention this Saturday/Sudnay. I'll get back on here as soon as I can. For now, this is the Sarge signin' off. Later.

More art is up!
Just submitted it. Like I said, my new manga idea The Afterworld has five main characters: Jayden Costa, Dani Duchesne, Quinten Thayer, Darius Williams and Jessica "Jade" Flaherty, and I just sent in the profile for the second one (12:30 PM abouts.) You might wanna come back later and check it out.
Other news, it's spring break here, my parents are nagging me to do homework and they're insane. I got a whole week off to draw, get settled into the tae kwon do class and sleep in. The last thing I wanna do is think about school. And I really don't wanna waste time only to get a failing grade anyways, I can tell whether or not I can get something done before I even try. But I guess that's teenage life your parents think they know what's best for you but they don't. So, I guess I'll be back later today. For now, this is the Sarge relievin' ya.
