oy

welllll, camp is tiring as always. a bit more so this year, because i don't have tohru168 entertaining the kids and shutting them up constantly :( she's having a bit of a breakdown too, lol well, one of my kids has a mental disorder. seriously, she does. and her mom didn't tell us a thing about it, but we found out pretty quick.. even before the office told me-_-. so yes, i know that she officially has some sort of learning disorder, and she seems to show some of the characteristics of down syndrome, like asian-looking features.. her mom's not asian.. and not being able to talk normally (seems like her tongue isn't attached the right way) she talks really strangely, she doesn't listen to you when you tell her not to do things (it really seems like she doesn't understand), and she repeats everything she says at least five times, even if you've already answered it. she's like a little robot, it's scary. she talks about absolutely nothing, on and on and on. she interrupts every single teacher during every single class to go up and tell them about something completely random. TODAY after we went in the sprinkler she smeared dirt all over herself and her swimsuit and then sat on the ground and became fascinated with a root. she was trying to pull it out of the ground and would NOT budge. so i had to talk her inside, it really didn't work too well. every time you tell her to do something she tells you "i can't." and goes back to what she's doing. i tried everyfreakingthing and she didn't want to come inside, it took ten minutes of the next class... finally one of my other campers leaned out the window and yelled "lauren!" and she looked up and went "oh! they're calling me" i was like "yessss let's go inside>.<" so finally she went with me ...she really can be cute sometimes she hugs me randomly occasionally but i really don't think i can deal with her for much longer, she keeps hitting the other kids and stuff and really doesn't seem to understand she's doing anything wrong. we talked to her mom.. she's gonna start being picked up earlier and we might switch her temporarily to another group (to give me and the other counselor a break) ...i feel bad about that though man i just don't really know what to do ohhh well. i think they gave me all the bad/dysfunctional kids this year :P

talk about last-minute

well, that summer camp i was a counselor for last year? i'd tried to sign up again this year but they already had all their counselors so i couldn't but tohru168 just called me (she got in, she's a counselor already) and told me yesterday (the first day) a few of their counselors just quit so now they want me again i mean, i wanted to do it, but talk about short notice! i gotta be there at 8:30 tomorrow morning. it's two weeks i agreed to do it... i just hope that wasn't a mistake XD The Church Triumphant Hosted By theOtaku.com. a new page of Aya. i think this one is wayyy better than the last few, at least, it made me laugh instead of dry-retch. i think my inspiration today is coming from the lodoss war chibis. (i just drew this ten minutes ago) anyway, i hope you like. and please, please, don't just comment "oh cool you updated your manga" then not vote or comment on what i updated. please. XP it makes me very depressed when you do that be a love and COMMENT on my life's work :(

   oy.

why is it that when you watch animes you used to love you always get majorly disappointed when you find out how bad they are? just keeps happening and happening with record of lodoss war. i keep trying to watch it but it's.. just.... horrible. its cheez has enough force to kill a small mammal. i still love it though. for the opening song, the nostalgia, the chibis. anyway, BECAUSE i still love it and i don't wanna hear a word against it (hint hint :D) i drew a fanart... of pirotess. because i've already tried drawing parn and deedlit before. Dark elf girls are way hotter than dark elf men, muahahahah ..because those other dark elves are just plain hideous.

yay for me

ANOTHER NEW PAGE of Aya. i think i'll draw another one today, too, so keep an eye on the fanmangas tonight if you're going through withdrawal. psh, yeah right. maybe if i was mercury. so annnnyway... woke up early for a horseback lesson and found out that i don't have one after all... rescheduled for tomorrow.. i mean getting up at 8:30 wasn't such a great thing today, i went to bed at 11:00 last night but due to my recent nocturnal schedule, i lay wide awake till about 2 am. the good thing is i got up and looked around for something to read, which led me to finding my diary which has been missing most of the year and which i had only made one entry in :D so i overspilled my one-page boundary and wrote two pages in it. i felt so fulfilled. XD i'm really not a diary person. actually i prefer to refer to it as a "journal" anyway. it sounds less sixth-grade-girl-ish. but i try to make myself write in it so i can look at it later and shrink with embarrassment at how stupid and misguided i used to be. and believe me, i do that whenever i look at something old i wrote. ...on that note, maybe i'll go delete my old posts. yeah, let's do that. (actually no.. i'll just delete the embarassing ones.)

omg

i tried to change my theme and, as you can see, it's rather a disaster. i've got to fix it. so yeah, it's "under construction" at the moment. i really hate how it looks XP aaand i did a chrono fanart. uploaded the lineart and the colored... because i actually like the lineart better than the colored version. Devil & The Deep Blue Hosted By theOtaku.com. i worked during the day instead of the night today. it was pretty neat, not as crazy as the night, but still busy, and i made good tips O.o and (i get excited over the lamest things) the pub finally got t-shirts made!! O.o and hats and things. so i freaking got one. i usually hate being a walking advertisement but i love the place i work and the shirts are really nice XD although i could do without the "knotty but nice" on the back... (because there's a celtic knot.. doesn't really make it more tasteful though) let's just say i value my dignity... anyway, disregarding that this is probably the tenth worst picture of me ever and i'm disheveled and tired-looking and sweaty, here's the shirt (front, at least)

harlock and stuff

i've been watching Arcadia of My Youth. i reserve judgement on it until i finish, but it is a really strange movie. ..but harlock's in it. if i end up not liking the storyline at all, there's always that XD i don't know why i find harlock so cool.. probably the same reason i like speed racer. ..it's set up kind of like an opera... not much talking, dramatic movements, lots of music and scenery. it's... interesting, to say the least. and the storyline skips all over the freaking place. anyway. i've been meaning to submit this drawing for a while, there ya go. i'm working on a colored picture of chrono too.
