we do seem to have a trend of getting waiters with interesting names. we had a "sergio" at an italian restaurant, but i swear that guy wasn't italian, they probably made him lie about his name to make it seem more authentic.
and jesus brought me tea today.

our server this morning at breakfast was seriously named jesus, it was funny.
anyway, took another workshop, learned more useful info about writing, wrote it all down, got like thirty pages of notes now, yadda yadda yadda...
i started a rough sketchy thing for my serious manga, in a notebook. i might scan it and submit it like that once i get home, it's sort of a prelude or a preview if you will, it's rough and not much happens in it. but i just want to see if anybody wants to read it.
anyway we're leaving FL tomorrow and starting home, we'll probably be back monday afternoon or evening.
i've taken some awesome city pics and gotten very used to the Skyway (the monorail) so it doesn't freak me out anymore when i think i might miss my stop or whatever.
the people at this festival might want me to teach a manga workshop next year, that'll be fun yet very nerve-wracking, i am SO not a public speaker O.o
also, Kalliope magazine, which has taken a drawing of mine as their new official logo, wants me to do something manga-ish for their spring issue. i'm not sure what they're expecting. god forbid, i think she wants me to do some series or short story type thing. why does everyone seem to overestimate me.. and all at once! O.o
anyway, i'm not complaining, i'm very glad these things are happening, it just seems like deadlines always get piled on me all at the same time, whether they're for good things or bad things. thankfully it's mostly good things this time, but you don't want to miss a deadline for a good thing either!
and for gabe, alex, sam, anyone who wants to talk to me tonight, some people are taking us out for dinner, but we shouldn't be gone too late. we'll definitely be back by nine.
