"can you believe this?" Julie-Su asked while raiding through Shadow's car, "no smokes. Dammit I need a cigarette."
"Yeah same here," Knuckles called from their car.
"He's got a cell phone, but it's not working. No car charger either," Julie reported, "I think he was going for an interview. He was going to Central, I guess he's not from here."
Julie-Su got out of the car and sat on the front of hers.
Knuckles walked up to her and kissed her on the lips.
"Hey," she started with a smile and placed her hand on his pants, "when 2 people are stranded in the middle of now where when does people always come to save them and what are they doing?"
Knuckles looked at her with a smirk, "why here?"
"Just think of it as a theory, now hurry up and remove those trousers boy!" Julie-Su said with a smile and gave Knuckles a quick kiss.
"You're positive you're going the right way?" Rouge asked Shadow as they continued to make their way through the woods.
"Yeah," Shadow answered, "I've seen this before."
Rouge rolled her eyes because it all looked the same to her no matter what angle she looked at it.
"So I was thinking," Sonic said from behind them to Tikal as he held her hand, "that we could elope and..."
Tikal stopped and looked at Sonic, "listen, if you ever want to get in my pants again..."
"affirmative!"
"...then you wouldn't use the 'e' word," Tikal finished and Sonic nodded.
"They seem happy," Shadow said to Rouge.
"Yeah, they're engaged," Rouge agreed.
"Don't you have a boyfriend?"
"Nope," Rouge answered with no emotion in her voice.
"Hey! What's that?" Tikal asked when she stopped dead in her tracks and noticed a dead animal in the middle of the road.
Rouge stopped to turn around and looked at it, "it looks like a squirrel."
"How'd it get there?" Tikal asked.
"My guess is, is that speed racer, here, must've ran it over," Rouge answered.
"It's a chipmunk," Shadow corrected ignoring Rouge's comment.
"How can you tell?" Sonic asked.
"It's to small. It's a chipmunk," Shadow answered in a positive tone, "now come on, it's going to get dark soon."
Julie-Su was, again, going through Shadow's car, "hey, Knuckles? Did you find any food?" she called but got no answer.
Julie-Su looked at the side and sighed in frustration, "Knuckles, where are you?" she asked while getting out of the car.
She began to walk in the woods and frowned, "Knuckles, are you taking a piss?" she asked.
She looked down at the ground and noticed something that was red. She bend down to take a closer look at it and screamed. She quickly stood up and something was wrapped around her mouth. It was like a gag but it was made from barbed wire and the person pressed it against her mouth.
She threw her body in the air and she began to kick and scream as her blood fell from her mouth.
The person that held the gag over her mouth quickly yanked it back and Julie-Su's body fell lifelessly on the cold dirt.
As Shadow, Rouge, Tikal and Sonic made their way to the gas station Shadow had visited earlier, Sonic noticed that Tikal was missing.
"Tikal?!" Sonic shouted in fear.
He stopped in his tracks and looked around, but there was no sign of her anywhere!
"Tikal?!" Sonic shouted again. This time with more fear then ever.
"BOO!" Tikal shouted from behind him and Sonic jumped.
"Jesus Christ!" Sonic shouted as Tikal laughed.
"Who did you think it was? A serial killer?" Tikal asked through a laugh.
Sonic gave off a nervous chuckle and smiled, "you got me!" he admitted.
Tikal laughed and she grabbed his hand, "come on, you big baby and quit being such a wuss!"
"Guys! There's a house!" Rouge shouted and Tikal looked at Sonic with excitement.
"Good because I have to pee!"
"I'm with you on that one!" Sonic agreed.
" I hope they have a phone!" Rouge said as she followed Shadow.
The house was old, so that made her frown because if they didn't have a phone then what could they do?
"Does anyone even live here?" Rouge asked her hopes sinking.
"Guys, this places freaks me out!" Tikal complained.
"Lets just ask to use their phone and go!" Sonic ordered while hugging Tikal.

Shadow the hedgehog was sitting in a car while waiting for the traffic to start moving. He had been sitting there for almost an hour and needed to hurry.
Growling slightly, Shadow turned off his car and walked up to the truck that was in front of him, "do you know what's taking so long?" Shadow asked the driver.
"There was an accident. The whole road was shut down," the driver answered.
"alright, then, do you know if there's another road that leads into central?"
The driver shock his head, "you're looking at the one and only road."
"Dammit," Shadow mumbled and walked back to his car.
He started it up and drove down the road that he was on.
'There's got to be another way,' Shadow thought and pulled out his cell, 'no signal? I'm in the woods of course there's no signal!' Shadow shouted in his head and threw the phone into the glove compartment.
He turned into an old gas station and got out of the car, "excuse me! Do you have a map?" Shadow asked, "because the roads blocked and I need to get to central..."
The man stopped Shadow in his sentence by pointing past him to a map.
Shadow slowly turned around and nodded, "um thanks," Shadow said and walked up to the bulletin board where the map was placed. He studied the map and placed his finger on the best and, hopefully, quickest route to Central.
"The Mobian hills? Is that the only route?" Shadow asked the man, "it's got to be! It leads straight into it the city!"
Shadow walked past the man and started his car and began to drive.
'Crazy old bat,' Shadow thought as he kept his eyes open for the sign.
It was when he saw the sign, he turned on that road and pulled out his cell again.
"finally a signal!" Shadow said and began to dial the number as he continued to drive down the long and narrow road, "Hello? Hi, this is Shadow. I was coming in for an interview, but I might be late," Shadow said, "yeah the whole road was shut down."
Shadow looked up and noticed a car and he quickly hung up the phone.
There was a crash as the 2 cars slammed into each other and he started to breath heavily.
"Oh my god!" a female voice said and got out of the white van, "are you alright?"
Shadow nodded as he quickly got out of the car, "yeah, are you?" Shadow asked.
"Yes, we're all fine!" the girl answered as she nodded.
Shadow looked at the girl, realizing that she was the same age that he was, but was a bat instead of a hedgehog. She wore jeans and had on a top that was to small allowing her huge breast to hang a little.
"What were you thinking?" she asked, "you could've killed someone!"
"Holy shit! Look at this!" the blue hedgehog shouted, "all of our stuff is trashed!"
"I'm so sorry!" Shadow repeated.
"you just trashed our van!"
"This is my mom's van!" the pink echidna shouted, "you better be paying for this!"
"Julie, it's alright!" the red echidna said, "you? Are you alright?"
Shadow nodded, "I'm so sorry!"
"It's alright, Sonic where's Tikal?"
"She's here...somewhere," the hedgehog named Sonic said and began to search right away.
"I'm here!" a voice called form the van and an orange echidna appeared, "yeah, it's trashed!"
Julie-su growled in frustration and the bat walked up to her, "it's alright, Julie! We'll just go the way he came for help!"
"yeah, there's a gas station not to far from here! About 5 miles!" shadow reassured.
"Good!" the bat said, "Knuckles and Julie, you 2 wait here!"
"Alright," Knuckles said and sat on the van, "hurry up!"
"we'll try," she said with a smile, then, turned to face Shadow, "lead the way, speed racer!"
Shadow knew that it was an insult, but he nodded anyway, "just down this road and straight for the next 5 miles!"

Prologue
It was a sunny morning on Mobius and Blaze and Silver were going mountain climbing for fun.
"Come on, Blaze!" silver ordered who was almost at the top of the cliff.
"I'm coming!" Blaze shouted and took a step on a nearby rock.
"Don't look down!" Silver warned.
"No shit," Blaze said and she stopped dead in her tracks as she gave off a long sigh.
Taking another step, a rock broke from underneath her and she began to fall. she quickly grabbed a hold of a rock and began to breath heavily from the sudden fall, "silver could you pull me up?" Blaze called but received no answer, "Silver?"
Blaze slowly turned around and looked at the edge, "Silver, are you up there already?!"
Blaze still received no reply and a thought crossed her mind that he was acting childish again and she latched herself to a nearby rock.
She felt someone pull her up and she gave off a scream. She threw her body on the ground and slowly sat up.
She heard a stick snap in half and she quickly turned around, "Silver?! Is that you?!"
She heard a laugh and she felt herself shake, "Silver, this isn't funny! Get your ass out here you sick bastard!"
Blaze looked down at the ground and noticed blood. She slowly backed away, then ran, the laughs falling her. She tripped and fell on the ground and landed on her face.
