   Chapter one of hope and mine's fanfic.
This is chapter one of Bracinghope and mine's fanfiction. We wrote it together. If you haven't read the prolouge, it's in one of my posts, although I'm not sure where... Well I hope you enjoy the first chapter...

Konoko laid sleeping on a large, green couch as a red haired girl of five years stood above her holding an infant in her arms.
"See Aiko, that's our new sister.", she whispered.", Now maybe we can overpower Raidon and those annoying twins." she said as she looked over her shoulder at a seemingly annoyed 12 year old with two 8 year olds standing to his left.
"Wad-da you want?!" snapped the girl.
"Who's the kid?" asked the older boy.
"Her name's Konoko. Her brother dropped her off last night. He looked tough, so you'd better watch out! We'll team up and kick your ass!"
"Hikaru!" yelled a very angry Mrs. Nisawa. "You shouldn't be using words like that, as young as you are! Honestly! It looks like you need a time-out!" The twins stood there, their tongues pointed towards the little red head.
"Fine." she moaned as she dragged her feet across the floor. She stopped directly in front of Raidon to hold the baby up to his face.
"Be careful, Aiko. He might eat you cuz he's got a taste for babies." she teased as she handed the child over.
"Shuddup, brat" he spat as he took a dazed Aiko in his arms. Hikaru proceeded to drag her feet out the door when something small and furry rushed around the corner, bounced of her chest, and bounded over to the couch, where it perched itself on top of the sleeping girl's head.
"What is that thing!? it looks like a rat!" yelled Raidon
"Um........I'm s-sorry." whispered a small four year old boy.
"You were supposed..."
"to keep that thing..."
"locked up." said the twins accusingly.
"He-he got away from m-me. I-I tried t-to keep h-him i-in the c-cage." the boy replied hesitantly.
"It's ok, Yasuo." Hikaru reassured. "I'll help you take care of him 'till the noobie wakes up." Hikaru walked quickly to the sleeping child and as she went to grab the curious animal the girl snapped up, pulling the animal away. She then shot a threatening glare at Hikaru.
"It would be in your best interest to leave Tac alone."
"Alright, fine, geeze!" replied an irritated and insulted Hikaru. "You didn't need to say it that way!"
"Hikaru, you still need to spend fifteen minuets in time out." the house owner reminded.
".........uuuuugh." the child whined as she turned to walk away. Konoko's conscience got the better of her, and as the obviously annoyed girl walked away, she followed silently, allowing Tac to register her scent. Moments later, as if commanded, he hopped from Konoko's arms and onto Hikaru's shoulder.
"Hi cutie. So what are you anyway?" she cooed at the furry animal. Tac emitted a contented purr and lovingly rubbed the length of his body under her chin as he crawled to her other shoulder.
"he's a mongoose." Konoko answered as she led Hikaru out of the room. "So where am I anyway?"
"Oh well you're at the Nisawa orphanage. Your brother dropped you off last night.........he seemed really............really sad." the girl solemnly replied.
After a few moments of stunned silence Konoko ran out of the house, almost knocking Raidon down in her haste.
"Brother!" she screamed, stumbling down the road, eventually tripping on her long nightgown. That's how they found her, curled up on the ground, wailing helplessly, gripping a kunai in her fist until the blood pored from her hand in a gushing stream.
"Konoko, Konoko!!!!" Hikaru screamed chasing the other girl out into the rain followed by the other four children, and a frightened Mrs. Nisawa. Raidon ran up beside the sobbing, golden haired girl, soaked with rain.
"Get over it twerp! Your brother doesn't want you anymore! Suck it up! I have!" he spat.
"Shut the fuck up, jerk wad! Leave her alone!" a pissed off Hikaru retorted.
"No, he's right." Konoko said softly,scrambling to her feet, and looking up at Raidon disappointedly. After a few moments she fell face first into the boys chest, losing consciousness as the rest of the "family" stood watching
"Ok I seriously need to teach her not to do that." Hikaru remarked, staring at her with slight disgust.
