January of the new year!
Well, the new year has come and is here to stay. I spent most of my night watching the Disney New Year lineup and chatting with my brother and his friend from school. Alternately, I would go upstairs and hang out with my parents and my brother's friends parents.
At midnight, we celebrated by eating some pie and lounging around on the couch.
So, how did the rest of you fare?

It's new Years Eve...and its been raining all night
Flooding has been reported on the news the whole morning, and since the water is starting to collect in our yard, it's quite scarey.
My parents are out getting sand bags. Hope they hurry back soon...
It's got me wondering if our friends will come over tonight for celebration of the new year.
Sorry this is such a depressing post, but I have no idea what time I'll have to post later. Ja .

I'm back!!
Back from the weekend away from home...it was so fun. We played games, listened to music, watched a movie or two, and just bonded with each other. I in particular had so much fun with one of my younger cousins (her sister was sick, poor thing).
I'm sure you are all curious about what I got, so I'll give you a list
clothes (from my sister and her hubby)
clothes (from my parents)
a gift certificate
a collection of Jerry Lewis movies!!
a lot of cash from my parents, which is promptly going into my bank account to collect interest
and...
my pride and joy, comics!
The new teen titans: The Judas Contract
and
The new Teen Titans: the future is now
and Ravens Secret (a scholastic book, but still amusing).
There ya have it.

3 days till Christmas!
The time for the holiday is coming up soon, and I am so happy! Most of all, I get to spend time with my cousins, moreso the youngest little girls. They are so adorable!
Another good thing that happened! I bought a planner for the new year, since I'll have to balance school (4 classes), church, and work, and helping my parents with launching a business. Don't worry, I'll still do my best to post regularly.
Remember when I told you that my brother got a drum set? Well, even early on in his lessons, he sounds so good! He'll be in a band some day, my mom and dad say.
Welp, its 10:30 pm now, so I'll let you go now, since bed calls. Ja.

Can't believe its a week till Christmas!
Time has passed by so fast...
My brother got a drumset! (he's been taking lessons, and he has natural talent). It was expensive, so it's more of a christmas/birthday gift combined.
I am officially on Christmas break...at least until January 17. All that is left is to buy my textbooks, but that can wait.
Just so you know, I'll be gone the 24th through the 27th, so I won't be posting for a few days. It'll be fabulous to spend time with family!

1003 visits!!
In the next day or two, I plan on making something in photoshop to commemorate this occasion. yeah!
Oh, and I am not sure how many of you are familiar with The Week (a publication that condenses the current events of the week in a fun-to-read way). There was no way I could not post this.
Bad week for...
The Grim Reaper, after the mayor of a Brazilian town proposed making death illegal in order to ease overcrowding in the town's only cemetery. The proposed law requires all citizens to "take good care of your health in order not to die" and warns that "infractors will be held responsible for their acts."
(from Vol 5, issue 239/240)
Hehe, isn't that hilarious!!
Welp, its almost 11 pm here, so I got to make this quick. Sorry if I didn't visit any of your sites like I regularly do.

Wowzer!
Two good things happened this morning.
1. I recieved a greeting card from 2 people.
2. Only 3 more visits until my 1000 visit mark!!!
Bad news is, I have to study for an exam today. But, when that is over, Christmas break begins the 17th of this month, so it't not all bad.
Welp, off to start my day. Love ya guys.

I just had to post this!
I usually don't do two posts in one day...but this I could not pass up.
Just take a look at this link, someone drew a pic of the four Spirit Detectives as pirates.

Sorry if I didn't get to your site
I try my best to at least come by, but today I rested at home (since I am sick). Started reading The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, by C. S. Lewis today.
Has anyone else reached the breaking point with non-stop christmas music?
I have. It's everywhere...stores, the radio, at home.... Most of the songs I hear are so dang slow!! (note: most of them are modern renditions of songs, not hymns or anything). *sighs* So...that had me nearly screaming this weekend.
Q: What is your favorite carol?
A: Carol of the Bells.
