My last post before vacation!!
Hey guys, just wanted to make one last post before I leave for 10 ten days and finally post some of the long awaited pictures of San Francisco. (warning: they may be quite small!)
But first: responses to comments.
The one question that most of you asked was....how was the movie Castle in the Sky?
Answer: it was fantastic! As I have already seen 2 of his movies, his trade mark animation was very evident, and the music was great!! As far as voice goes, I watched it with the Japanese voice over and english subtitles, so i'll be watching it again for the english. The voices fit the roles very well, and the plot...what more can I say? Its Miyazaki!
I dream of demons: vacation spot is a cruise!! we start in San Franciso and end up in Alaska. (I'll post pictures when i come back).
Sango: yes, everything is better in japanese. Something about dubbing, even in the most well done ones, gets lost in the process.
Now...for pics! Hint: in order to improve quality of the pic, click on it once (note: note right click).
This was an actual road sign made by someone who has a real vendetta againts Ronald McDonald. it reads: "FAT, F*CKED UP, and 50!" (sorry about the coarse language).
me by a peace lantern (my mom had me squinting in the sun, darn it!)
The next stop before the entrance...real dojo doors!!! Gah!! this was my first sign that I was entering a Rurouni Kenshin heaven.
From left to right: me, my sis, and my bro. Standing by a drum bridge.
The Pagoda. A beautiful thing.
Our server at the tea house, in traditional regalia...and sun glasses!
Me wearing a hat in the store. :)
Welp, those were some of the best ones. Hope you enjoy!! (if you can't see them, pm me and I'll give you the code for them).

Whee!!!
Just felt like doing that. Today really was nothing special, just buying last minute items for vacation.
Speaking of that, we went to target, and I made good use of my gift card by purchasing Castle In the Sky, a Studio Ghibli film, and a Fruits basket DVD. Have only watched one eppie, but allready I prefer the japanese voices. (My brother watched a bit, and he found it....interesting. Then again, he has not read any of the manga, either).
Responses to comments:
Tiggerola: Here is a link about pagodas: http://www.crystalinks.com/pagadoas.html (you can bet I will bring sunscreen, but i don't need film--my mom has a digital camera).
Niko: yes, that was it!! Need for Speed 2.
Kataryu: heh, I'm sure you could provide a few suggestions :) Its good to see you!
Kevmart: Your sister is kinda right...they sell entertainment stuff, groceries (to an extent), the essentials, clothes...its a big stores.
Kirbysdouble: heh, I tend to lose my train of thought too. :)

Yesterday, I went to 2 parties...a church picnic and a family thing. The first we only stayed about 2 hours, because it got awful warm by then (I hate the heat). The rest of the time we were at my aunt's house. Mom, Dad, her sister and her husband just sat and talked, while I spent most of my time in their son's room playing some racing game (There were Underground 2 signs everywhere in that game, can't remember the title). The first time I raced, I was swerving all over the road, stupid controls are so touchy. After awhile, i got the hang of it.
Near the end, I got a gift, a $50 certificate to Target (I have no clue what I'll get there, to be honest).
So...this week is all about packing and getting ready for our vacation.

am now back!
I wasn't on for most of the day, from eight this morning until 9:30 tonight--and for a good reason. Today was my belated birthday celebration with my family!!
Ah....i have so many sites to visit and comment on I might get too tired to do that after posting this...dont' be offended if I won't post much.
Now...on to the summary of a glorious day!!!
We went to San Francisco, specifically to the Golden Gate Park. Man, it is beautiful or what!? It took us awhile to get our destination, the Japenese Tea Garden, but we got there. Stupid mapquest really didn't help.
After paying admittance fee, we found ourselves in a traditional japenese garden haven!! (or for me, heaven on earth). It was like having a taste of what royalty must have lived back then, it was well maintained and gorgeous!! There was even a pagoda smack dab in the middle, close to the tea house and tourist store.
I'll have to get pictures to you as soon as possible--i simply cannot convey to you in words what an experience it was. My mom, dad, sister and brother also enjoyed it too, but not as much as me. :)
Next, we went to the near by beach and ate at the restaunt that was close by (can't remember the name). Their salmon is pretty darn good, let me tell ya.
Then, came my second favorite part...Chinatown!!! In the very first store I browsed in I got an amber/jade ring (that fits my finger, surprisingly). Sis had to convince me to get it at first. Hm...we really didn't browse that many stores, and I was feeling an urge to find a store that sold anime merchandise, as I hadn't found any.
I did find one...actually we stumbled onto one! At the mere sight of an Inuyasha poster, I knew I had hit gold, and ended up spending almost 50 bucks. I got the following: 3 posters (2 fruits basket, one IY), 4 calender cards (3 of inuyasha, 1 of Dragonball GT) for one dollar, a CD case with 2 cds of inuyasha songs (booyah!!), and an inuyasha set of playing cards.
As you may have noticed, I love Inuyasha..and Fruits basket.
THen our last stop was a little hole in the corner, on Ross street, that made and sold fortune cookies. in fact, you could buy some and watch them make the cookies!! So cool. The cookies are on a conveyer belt, in metallic molds, and very hot. the employee takes it off the mold (their fingertips are covered with cloth) and fold it over a little thingy majiger that folds it into what we know as the fortune cookie.
*breaths in deep before plowing on*
Now, responses to comments!
To all you chocoholics: lol!! I found it amusing that some of you said 'chocolate yay!' and left ;)
Kevmart: believe it or not, there were police at my house that night I could get to sleep again so soon...i just didn't care to get up from my nice warm bed. Found out what happened in the morning though.
Daff: yes, it has been a lot of work. only one page left though!!
ok...off to visit a few sites ...tomorrow I won't be able to post much of anything, since there is a church picnic and family thingy tomorrow.

noow longer sleepy!!
Just had desert with some friends (chocolate, of course!), so I'll have enough energy to post, visit sites, and visit my other haunts.
Response to comments:
Blue eyes: yes, yours was the best comment, and sorry no prize...except emails maybe.
Links lil Faerie: actually 1GB is quite enough for me--I barely have half of it filled.
Nikorasu: I also have a substantial amount of anime and videogame music on mine (hakusho, pretear, inuyasha, sonic).
Kevmart: at least you can go to sleep early...no matter what I do, its around 11pm, midnight, sometimes even worse...but once I am a sleep, I sleep like a log (not that you guys wanted to know that lol!)
Those were the highlights of 10 (yes, 10!!) comments.
Ja!!
oh before I forget, status of gb signings: 1 page left.

sleepy....
I was asleep by 11 pm something, but woke up at 2 am...have no clue when I got back to sleep, so I am bleary eyed and tired. I'll probably be drinking much soda today....
Blue eyes had the best comment! "We hate you? Since when!! NEVER!!!!! Lol.
Wow...cool presents! Lol. Sound like me with the ipod..."WORK YOU PIECE OF S***T!!!"
Well I don't have one so I don't have to worry. ^.^"
I was pretty darn close to it, actually. Technology isn't my thing, but I'm getting there...kinda...maybe...ah who cares. ;)
...I need sleep.
edit: someone wanted to know how much space I had on my shuffle..its 1 GB.

Today has been very kind to me. I was up around 8 am, ate breakfast with my dad, my mom,and my brother, and opened 2 gift bags.
Now ...I could just skip ahead to my boring day and leave out my presents, but you hate me, so i might as well. :)
I recieved the following:
1)iPod Shuffle (with gift music card)
2)"Cool caps"--an accesory to the shuffle thingy
3)a certificate to barnes and noble.
4) a journal
5) a compilation of Sherlocke homes stories
That shuffle gave me some grief though...had to figure out how to graft in some of my music on desktop that wasn't in my iTunes files, and then let it charge for 4 hours. However, I took advantage of that time and watched Star Wars V (5).
So...have just been posting here and on my forums. ;)
Edit: I have joined a new club, in support of Naraku (from Inuyasha). Odd choice, yes, but villians have a soft spot in my heart, too.

My God, I can't believe my birthday is tomorrow...
Yesterday was a day to be marked in history: I actually got down and sorted out my closet (I have a desk in there with papers, pictures, books, and other crap that built up over time). My closet is actually....clean!!!
Yipee!!
...sorry, just had to get that out of my system. ;)
Status on gb signings: half way through.
Ciao!

You would like to read an embarrasing story, yes? Of course, you do, people are naturally curious.
Just yesterday, it was around early evening, and I was chilling at home, revisiting some old guestbook signings, when my boss called.
This was me: O_O
It finally clicked something was wrong-it was monday, and i have a work shift on monday night. MY WHOLE FAMILY, inculding me, zoned out on that.
Yeah, I must have apologized a million times over the phone to my poor boss. *Sigh* Going to work will be awkward, apologize a million times more probably.
So, yeah...I'm sure none of you have ever done that.
Lets move on to a different topic.
I'll be going through my guestbook signings and visiting old sites. There are about 8 pages of them, I have at least 2 done (I have 87 of them if you were curious).
Welp, thats all for now. Ciao.

Life's good
Last night Blue eyes and I had a msn conversation--of sorts, she also was talking to other people at the same time! It was good to talk to her again.
Plus, i have a birthday coming up in 3 days!! (the 9th). My birthday sure crept up on me this year.
Lastly, a long awaited vacation is coming up soon, and our family is gonna be gone from the 17th to the 27th. I might be able to update sometime, but I highly doubt it. So...feel free to crowd my inbox with PMs, my site with comments, and even email me. I love email!!!
About a contest...i still have no ideas on what do with this...so in other words, it won't likely happen (ideas, anyone?)
Heh, I actually have a somewhat long post today...the first in awhile. anywho, God bless and have an awesome day.
