My last post before vacation!!
Hey guys, just wanted to make one last post before I leave for 10 ten days and finally post some of the long awaited pictures of San Francisco. (warning: they may be quite small!)
But first: responses to comments.
The one question that most of you asked was....how was the movie Castle in the Sky?
Answer: it was fantastic! As I have already seen 2 of his movies, his trade mark animation was very evident, and the music was great!! As far as voice goes, I watched it with the Japanese voice over and english subtitles, so i'll be watching it again for the english. The voices fit the roles very well, and the plot...what more can I say? Its Miyazaki!
I dream of demons: vacation spot is a cruise!! we start in San Franciso and end up in Alaska. (I'll post pictures when i come back).
Sango: yes, everything is better in japanese. Something about dubbing, even in the most well done ones, gets lost in the process.
Now...for pics! Hint: in order to improve quality of the pic, click on it once (note: note right click).
This was an actual road sign made by someone who has a real vendetta againts Ronald McDonald. it reads: "FAT, F*CKED UP, and 50!" (sorry about the coarse language).
me by a peace lantern (my mom had me squinting in the sun, darn it!)
The next stop before the entrance...real dojo doors!!! Gah!! this was my first sign that I was entering a Rurouni Kenshin heaven.
From left to right: me, my sis, and my bro. Standing by a drum bridge.
The Pagoda. A beautiful thing.
Our server at the tea house, in traditional regalia...and sun glasses!
Me wearing a hat in the store. :)
Welp, those were some of the best ones. Hope you enjoy!! (if you can't see them, pm me and I'll give you the code for them).
