I'm surprised I've received no hate mail. Then again, I only got TWO MORE VISITS, people!!!
Well, today has been, quite possibly, the most boring day in my 1.5 decades of existence. My day began by having the "classic" novel, Scarlet Letter, read to our class in utter monotone. This almost killed me, but with meditation comes the ability to block things out with extreme efficiency.

After a study hall consisting of nothing but Math homework, I partook in the most boring 40 minutes of my day: Biology. Now, to be honest, I think that Bio in itself is an interesting subject. But all the topics contained within lose all meaning when they're dictated to you by a woman who never learned to speak with her jaws separated. (Her name: Debaney. THE HORROR!) Also, the only way we learn material is through notes on the board. NO YOU! To prevent other hapless students from falling into the trap of Biology with Debaney, I've created the following warning:

"WARNING! Prolonged exposure to Debanium may induce sleepiness, fatigue, and an overall loss of the will to live. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery while in contact with Debanium. There is no cure for Debanium exposure, but doctors recommend creating wacky anecdotes for relief of symptoms."

Darn I'm witty.

I know I'll get backlash for this one...
Well, as everybody knows, I'm the guy who personifies controversy. (50% Buddhist, 50% Christian, for gay marriage, against Bush's proposed amendment, etc.) And here's another example of my attitude.

http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=130336

Read the first post, and be amazed. (I warn you, it is a very, VERY long post. But it is definitely worth reading.) Secondly, I'd like to reiterate that, being a blog, this portion of myOtaku (mine) is for me to chronicle my opinions and whatever random thoughts I may have. (Just saying this so that I don't get flooded with PMs saying I have no right to be saying what I'm about to say.)

By this time, I'm assuming you've read the first post in the above link. Now for the rant: First off, I know that the article may contain mere speculation, but there are too many sources of information (along with confirmations of my beliefs) to ignore. It's obvious that Bush has been using his position to enforce a purely Christian viewpoint on the United States, despite the fact that our nation is a democracy. At least, for now.

As those who have read the aforementioned article know, Reverend Moon (can't remember his full name), a friend and "spiritual ally" of Bush (both 1 and 2.0) is pushing for the United State's transformation from democracy into an autocratic theocracy (READ: A land with only one religion, with only one person making ALL the decisions. Look at Russia pre-and-post-WWI). And former President Bush called him "the man with the vision": very troubling.

But it also somewhat explains why Bush has been pushing the Bible's teachings on the entirety of the country. Personally, I find it extremely troubling that a religious group can have so much control (in secret) over a nation.

We'll see the confirmation of this article (and my personal beliefs) if Bush gets re-elected (NO, I don't think Bush is the antichrist. I just dislike him in the extreme.).

Let the hate mail flow in... Too bad my mail service doesn't work! PM will suffice.

If anyone would like to talk about the subject (I even invite the hate mail), then feel free to PM me. Or IM me (Battosai06), whichever you feel most comfortable doing. :D

Oh, I also found an awesome translator from English to FFX's trademark language Al Bhed, contained here: http://www.pixelscapes.com/twoflower/albhed.html So, to translate my typical Japanese saying to Al Bhed...

Edda ge syci!!! (Translate it twice, if you don't understand the Japanese meaning). GOD I'M A GEEK. (Is it wrong to not disagree with that fact? *ponders* Nope.)

   Backgrounds and Tribulations
My recent forays into the realm of pathetic attempts at finding a suitable background, along with my grabs at the glory of having a coherent color scheme for this blog, show just how computer-illiterate I am, along with how much the universe likes to toy with my mind. I'll find a good image, but it's too big to scale properly for a BG. >_<

Fortunately, I also found a good Star Trek site (once again, I am a geek. If you do not have the mental capacity to see this, pull the Cheeto out of your nose. That may help.) at http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org .

   I'm a sad, sad individual...
I've got a day off from school due to a sudden onset of snow, and how do I spend my time? Perusing the Otaku domain, of course. I'm such a geek... :D

I'm finally going to get my hands on the next two Rurouni Kenshin: Tales of the Meiji DVDs, which is a very good thing. I hate cliffhangers! Unfortunately, I may have missed two sections of TotM permanently, as the only place I can find the DVDs is, by no means, an anime-oriented store. (Actually, there are none in my area.) Yet more proof that Upstate New Yark (Gundam fans unite!) just plain sucks.

Oh, and I've started getting back into the Heroclix swing of things. Heroclix, for those who don't know, is a collectable miniatures game of STRATEGIOUS STRATEGEM. There are many different series, including Marvel Heroclix and DC. Basically, you're just fighting comic-book characters, but it's just oh-so-addictive. It's kind of like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, but with less pixelation. I'm hoping that they eventually come out with an anime-themed set. That'd be awesome: Spidey versus Kenshin. A fight for the ages...!

Signing off for... a nondescript amount of time.

   *Ugh, pant, wheeze, random lack-of-breath-indicator*
Well, I just got back from yet another enthralling doctor's appointment, this time being a 'stress test', which is nothing more than 10 minutes on a treadmill with a mask on your face that makes breathing difficult. Thus, the random onamotapoeia.

Other than that, I'm having a great day. I have no homework, which leaves me free to... uh... Well, it leaves me free!

*looks around* Well, this place is getting a tad bit worn around the edges, so I think some graphical improvements are greatly needed.

Head for the hills! TEH HARRAR!!!
Well, this has been a pretty boring day. It's Tuesday Blues-day, which means... nothing. Other than the fact that today sucks.

Almost. At the end of the day, during ninth period, the teachers all informed the students that a "nondescript threat" was found in the boy's bathroom on the wall, which now has sent the idiotic administrators into a full-fledged panic. Apparently, "law-enforcement officials have been informed". Then we got a lecture on how the threat was a felony. Big whoop. I'd care more if I knew what the threat was about, instead of it being "nondescript". As if we couldn't handle it. Since everyone's basically ignored the whole thing, irony dictates that something probably WILL happen. Just because, as we all have learned, the universe hates me. :D

Oh, and the aforementioned "junior" who was hassling my brother? Turns out he's in eighth grade, although he should be a junior. XD He's still larger than me by a good two feet, but he fights... by pushing. Thus opening a venerable treasure-chest of strategies against him if he messes with my brother one more time. (I've read up on judo a bit, so I at least understand the "when pushed, pull" aspect. :D) As Confucius said, "The superior man is compliant, but not blindly yielding." Meaning, if he pushes, go with it. Just bring him with you. :D

Well, I'm gonna go eat dinner. I just downloaded FF6 (aka FF3 in the States), so I'll be busy for a while. ITTE KI MASU, WORDNUGGET.

   It's like a vacuum, I swear!
Meh. You're not going to believe this, but the freshmen I was ranting about earlier... Turns out it was a simple misunderstanding between him and my brother. Good news, right? Sorta.

Good, because it means that I won't have to get in trouble for beating up a lower-grade kid. Bad, because now I find out that my brother's getting hassled by a junior who is not only bigger than me, but is usually surrounded by a triumvirate (or some small number) of friends. Fortunately, the kid can't fight for squat. His friends, on the other hand, may decide to join in on the fun if the junior starts with me. Why is it that, whenever a person tries to protect somebody, it always ends up being a fight against unfair odds? Ugh.

Oh, and yet more jargon from me. In my school library, we are blessed to have a subscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly. And lo and behold, they have a small article with three screenshots from FINAL FANTASY VII: ADVENT CHILDREN. XD YES!!! For those who don't know, FFVII:AC is a DVD sequel to the original game, taking place a few years after the end of the game. All I know is that Sephiroth, Barret, and Cloud (of course) all look supremely awesome. As in, so real you could almost smell the gin and/or whiskey on Barret's breath. The DVD is slated to hit our Yankee shores in the summer, according to X-Play. (If by now you can't tell I'm a supreme geek, you should turn off the computer, sit down, and rethink your life.)

So, if anyone has more information on Advent Children (or hints on taking multiple opponents at once), please feel free to PM or IM me. E-mail is okay, but Mail.com keeps crashing Internet Explorer! Iie!

Why is it that Sundays always suck?
Good evening, welcome to yet another scintillating episode of... my completely random thoughts.

Currently, I have in my hands a very interesting book (which I've obtained from a friend) called "Secrets of the Samurai", written by two authors whose names I am too tired to commit to memory. It's a really interesting read on samurai history, weapons, training, and some of the martial arts in general. Much fun to be had. (I've got GEEK written all over me. In kanji, nonetheless.)

Also, this has been one of the most boring, uneventful weekends in the history of my existence. Utter boredom, combined with a cold and Dayquil-induced drowsiness, have made it impossible for me to gain ambition for anything. Including meditation, which I've been meaning to do for quite a while. I just... can't find the time to do so.

Which brings me to my next paragraph. For quite some time now, I've been leaning more and more towards following/practicing the other 50% of my belief system (ie BUDDHISM). Which has me at quite an impasse. On the one hand, Buddhism just makes sense to me, and appeals to who I am. On the other hand, I still believe that there's a God, and that teh Jebsu was... well, he was one heck of a guy, to put it lightly. So, I'm beside myself on this one. I personally see no problem with following Buddhism while keeping the belief in a God, but the doctrine of Christianity is definitely conflicting. So, the point of this particular rant? I'm just wondering if anyone has some insight into my problem.

Oh, and one more thing: I'm also in the need of some advice on the aforementioned subject of me getting in a fight. For those who haven't read the post, basically, my brother (who's in seventh grade) is having trouble with a freshmen who keeps trying to get him into a fight. On the one hand, I don't want to hurt the freshmen, not because I like the kid, but because... well, it's kinda against my nature to do so. On the second hand, I'm sick of seeing my brother getting pushed around and berated (and equally sick of seeing him play right into it). And on my third, mutationary hand, I don't wanna get in trouble for fighting (zero tolerance, anyone?). I've got a very clean record, and don't want it... tarnished, shall we say. So, what to do... Ah, I already know what to do. I'm just a bit confused as to how to go about it. Anyone have some feedback as to being in situations like this?

As the song says.... "Jump! Jump! Jump!"
Well, I bought issue 16 of Shonen Jump, and it's a very good issue, if I do say so myself. Dragonball Z is certainly heating up a bit, as is Naruto. Yu-Gi-Oh! does its typical 'hot-hot-hot action to lukewarm school antics' switch, and One Piece... well, it's just One Piece.

I've got a cold right now, so I'm a bit light on the post length. Meh.

   Get your gloves on!
The above smiley describes my current attitude pretty well. Why? Well, a certain freshmen has been trying to instigate a fight with my younger brother (seventh grade), going so far today as shoving him around. My brother is a very excitable person, so I had to almost hold him back. And this has obviously gotten me very, very angry.

Which puts me at an impasse. If the kid decides to go at my brother again, I'll have no choice but to step in. If you know what I mean. *clenches fists* However, I don't wanna hurt the kid. Too much.

Other than that, I'm doing great. Today is definitely the day I'm getting the new Shonen Jump, and I'll probably end up buying some random novel, to boot.

Itte ki masu! (I'll give a report on the new SJ when I read it.)
