Can't think of one again...
9:19PM
I had some trouble falling asleep last night. So many thoughts rushing through my head. I even started tearing for a while, not for myself but for another. I think that's strange because I can't remember that ever happening before. I really don't mind writing such personal things since I doubt many people come to this site anyway. heh.
Unfortunately I woke up around eight in the bloody morning. Despite the fact that it was probably one in the morning when I fell asleep.
I mostly spent my day hanging out with my friends Matt and Mike. While at Matt's house we ate some shrimp egg rolls (mmm...good...) and watched a DVD of Bill Engvall or somethin' like that. He was pretty funny. We then walked over to Gamecrazy on Culebra. Which is about probably 2-3 miles away. Had I been in the physical shape that I was three years ago there'd be no way I could've done that. While there I bought Pokemon Leaf Green (yeah, I got into Pokemon again after playing my friend's Fire Red...) and Matt and Mike played a demo to Destroy All Humans. It was really funny watching them grab random farmers and throw them around. It kinda reminded me of Jebidiah (long story, but my friends now of it).
Later we hung out at the H-E-B nearby. I know it's not much of a place to hang out, but it had a sushi bar. So we bought a Spicy Sampler and two rounds of Ramune (a drink of the Gods mind you). The sushi was good, but I found out that salmon is not good for sushi. Twice I've had salmon in sushi. Once I bought Alaskan Smoked Salmon and it was crap. And in the Spicy Sampler it had three rolls of tuna, three rolls of shrimp, and three rolls of salmon. Both the shrimp and tuna were good, but the salmon was crap. While eating the sushi and drinking our Ramune Matt, Mike and I all played Pokemon to pass the time. Later on we headed back to Matt's house.
While walking back my friend Matt suggested that I try to ask out one of my co-workers. He thinks that she likes me because while he was visiting one time he said that she was "rubbing herself all over me." I'm pretty sure he was referring to when she rested her head on my shoulder for a while. I don't think that she likes me in that way. I kept saying that I wouldn't ask her out. My reasons were that she was a "high class hottie and most likely already had a boyfriend and I wouldn't stand a chance". What I didn't tell them though is that I'm not looking for a relationship right now. The affects of last month still bother me at times. Not as much as they used to, but still. However, Mike and Matt are threatening to "ninja strike" (a punch in the crotch region) if I don't ask her out. *sighs*
Well, I gotta go soon. Gonna go check out Land of the Dead with my step-father. Sayoonara. |

Second day of box training
10:17PM
It was the second day of box training for me today. I mostly just worked on till selling tickets, that's pretty much all you do anyway. I made quite a bit of mistakes though. I'm not too worried about it though since I used to make a lot of mistakes when I first started off having to work in concession. It was pretty fun though because we started making fun of stupid customers like we do every day. I'm somewhat looking forward to my first box shift this Friday. Tomorrow I'm gonna try to check out Land of the Dead. I can invite up to 2 guests to see it. Since I don't have a ride, my step-father will be one of them, but I can't think of anyone else that would want to go *shrugs*.
Earlier today I was playing Guilty Gear X2. I freaked out when I finally found out what the EX was. It's so cool. I was using Chipp and I was bored, so I decided to activate the EX even though I had no idea what the hell it did. Then I found out that I could repeat the Blade moves up to three times. I was doing Alpha Blade three times, dashing around the screen attacking. I also noticed that he had a new Overdrive attack. Unfortunately it has a short range, so I have to link it to a combo. But it's really cool.
I also played Metal Gear Solid for a while as well. I find it funny that there's a Solid Snake and a Liquid Snake. It makes me wonder if there's a Gaseous Snake with deadly farts of death. I'm slowly getting the hang of the game, but I still find it pretty difficult. Man, it's pretty sad that I spend so much time playing games. =(
Tomorrow I'm hoping that I can spend some time with a few of my friends during the afternoon. I've noticed that I'm starting to hate spending a whole day just hanging around in my little dank cave. eh *shrugs* whatever. |

Shimata, I forgot!
I wanted to post one my cosplay goals. So here it is: Crono! From one of my favorite RPGs Chrono Trigger.
If any of you other cosplayers have any tips you'd like to give, please feel free to do so. I'm mostly worried about the boots and the wrist thingys. I hope to get it completed before Ushicon or A-Kon.
I still plan on continuing to cosplay as Sasuke. I want to upgrade it by actually making my own shirt and getting the other details that I didn't get for A-Kon. |

First day of Box Training and new games!
9:11PM
Well, I just ate dinner (which was frozen spaghetti =( ), did the dishes, and took out the trash. I finished my first day of Box training today and learned how to sell tickets and what not. It seems fairly easy, but I still want to make sure I know what the hell I'm doing. We were mostly clowning around though stamping each other with "VOID" stamps. I got voided twice.
Today I walked over to Gamerush and bought some new games. I got Metal Gear Solid:Twin Snakes, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and Bloody Roar 4. I kept dying a lot during Metal Gear, perhaps I should've read the manuel first *shrugs*. And I'm quickly getting the hang of Bloody Roar not I mostly do in fighting games. Currently my chars are Yugo the wolf, Bakuryu the mole, and Nagi the...yeah...I forgot. I've also been playing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. My current team is Ryu, Sakura, and Strider Hiryu. I still favor Guilty Gear though. I have Guilty Gear X2:The Midnight Carnival #Reload. Wow, that's a mouthful. Anyway, it's probably my favorite 2D fighter. My character is Chipp Zanuff. His Overdrive attacks kick ass. HELLS YEAH!
I really regret not wearing a belt during the walk to Gamerush. It's not fun walking with your pants falling down. It's even more annoying when playing DDR.
Heh, I'm multi-tasking right now, writing in this and talking to my friend right now. Bishoujo Tenshi, or Tori. ( If you're reading this: that's right, I know your name!) Anyway, it's really fun to talk to her just like it is talking to all my friends when I can.
Well, can't think of anything else. So till next time. Sayoonara. |

Can't think of one...
2:21PM
*yawns* Well, I just got done taking a shower after playing some DDR. Fun fun. I got to buy a new dance pad because the one I has sucks. It's one of those cheapy ones that you can buy at Gamestop for about $20. It's messed up because I could frickin' stomp on the damn Up arrow and it won't register. Also I'll be standing in the neutral area and it'll go crazy going up and down. I'd like to get one of the foam ones, kinda like the one my cousin has. I believe he doesn't deserve it 'cause he kinda sucks >=D . Ok, not that he sucks, 'cause he's pretty good, but I am better than he is. 'Twas I that got him into DDR in the first place. I remember when I first took it to his house and he got addicted. He started off pretty good, didn't even start on Beginner. Jumped straight to Light like I did, but he still plays mostly Light. It took me a week to get on Standard.
Not sure what I'll do for the rest of the day. I might look up some Naruto DVDs to buy online. I found a site that sells them imported for $29.99 and they contain three discs.
Yesterday was a strange day at work. While I was on tickets a little girl came up to me and said "Happy Father's Day!" I'm just staring at her thinking "Great...can't wait to tell that to my kids..." Man it made me feel old. Perhaps I should shave more often. But having facial hair is kinda cool 'cause no one hardly ever cards me, heh.
I was going a little bit insane last night while at work. To the point that as I was doing exit greetings to customers as they were exiting the auditorium I wanted to yell out "Thanks for comin' to the Silverado! Hope you had a rootin' tootin' good time!" I almost did too. >,>...but one of my co-workers just stared at me and started cracking up. Usually when I get tired and bored at the same time while working, I'll start to lose a little bit of sanity. The same thing happens to one of my supervisors and he'll creep me out when he does it. And everyone knows that when someone starts creeping me out, that's a very bad sign.
A lot of my co-workers know that I'm a bit crazy, but they say they're cool about it. I guess that's pretty good. I hate being around people that can't stand when I start going mental. Mostly 'cause it's kinda random and doesn't happen all the time. But when it does, no one seems to take me serious anymore. So it kinda pisses me off sometimes. *sigh* At least I'm not a schizo like my father.
Well, I can't really think of anything else to say, so sayoonara. |

First official entry on this site
2:43PM
This is my first official entry on this site. The previous humongoloid one is a hybrid of my previous entries on another site. Thanks to the help of my friend kawaii seth, I was able to move them all to this site. So without further adoodoo.
As you all know today is Father's Day (for those of you that forgot...um..yeah). I'm not really a person that favors holidays very much and today is no exception. Ever since the last two years the connection that my father and I used to have has been severing. I hardly ever talk to my father and when we do we never know what the hell to talk about. I called him earlier today to wish him a Happy Father's Day. My mother did most of the talking so that we wouldn't hang up. The conversation that my father and I had this morning and practically every other time consisted of many lenghtly periods of silence. Back when I was a child I could talk to my father about anything, but now it's completly different.
I also found out earlier that I lost five lbs. I'm been trying recently to lose weight and to get in better shape. The main reason is that I despise being weak. It's difficult though because of time management. I mostly like to work out during the mornings, but I've also been scheduled to work a lot during the mornings as well. And when I return from work I just mostly want to rest.
Speaking of working, I also work today as well. I'm scheduled to work 6-11 tonight ushering. So that means I'll be spending most of my time cleaning auditoriums, bathrooms, soda fountains, sweeping the floors, taking out the trash, and other varied tasks.
Lately I've noticed that I'm not getting enough sleep. Last night I went to bed at 12:30AM after watching FLCL. I then woke up at around seven. I said to myself "there's no f**kin' way I'm getting up this early!" so I forced myself to fall back asleep. Later I woke up around 10:30PM. That was a lot better, so I got up and did random stuff to pass the time. It's strange. During the school year my mother would have to yell at the top of her lungs and loudly ring my gong in order to wake me up at 6:45 every morning. Instead I woke up at 7:05. Now that school's over I keep waking up around seven and eight, but I want to sleep in! It's as if no matter how late I stay up I still wake up early.
I'm just thankfull that I'm off tomorrow. Then I can rest, continue to work out, and run a few errands. Tuesday and Wednesday I go back to work, but only to get Box trained. So for three hours on those two days I'll be learning how to sell movie tickets to all those people that want to spend their time watching movies. And then I have Thursday off again. Perhaps I'll see what my friends are doing on those days and hang out with them. Sayoonara!...now get the hell out of here...stop wasting your time....come back soon...or else...*pulls out katana*... |

Today's work day
5:27PM
Let's see, today was an ok day. I had to wake up early, so that sucked. I got there around 8:30AM. Since I was hungry and didn't have to clock in till nine (also, I was the only one there) I decided to head over to Taco Cabana and get some breakfast.
As soon as it was nine I clocked in and started getting the popcorn ready. At first it was just Paul and I, then later Robert showed up (he was supervising usher this morning), and later on Aaron (the concession supervisor for the day) showed up.
Time was very slow today. I could've sworn that it was at least close to three, but it was only 1:20PM. I mostly spent the day filling up the popcorn warmers and also helping one of the new hires.
I had a good time talking to my co-workers, especially Aaron and Travis. We would make a lot of jokes, talk of games, and even tried to figure out which sentences did not work with the phrase "that's what she said."
Throughout most of the day I tried avoiding having to get on till. It's not that I hate being on till, I just hate it when a stupid customer comes up to my till. One time some woman asked what kind of icees we had, I said, "Our icees are self served and we have three different flavors." She just rudely responded "well, what flavors are they?" I told her the three flavors: Coke, White Cherry, and Blue Raspberry (now replaced with grape). I forgot what flavor she asked, but when I gave her the empty icee cup she looked at me like I was some kind of retard. "Well where's the icee?" she rudely said. I told her again that they were self-served and she just walks off without saying anything after paying. Man I hate stupid customers.
I've noticed that slowly I'm thinking less and less about the incident with -----. That pain doesn't really hurt as much. |

Talking with Friends June 17th, 2005
10:52PM
Today was a decent day. I worked 12-6 today as an usher. It was pretty slow until around four, then it started to pick up a bit.
After work I cashed my check and came home. While at home I ate my only meal for the day: ghetto nachos. It was baked Tostitos w/chicken fajitas, queso con salsa, and extra salsa.
Later on, I got a phone call from Chris. It was great hearing from him since he now lives in Austin. I asked how his long-distance relationship is working out and he says it's working fine. He's hoping that all of us and his girlfriend can all hang around in San Antonio later during the summer. I wouldn't mind because she was pretty cool when we met her at A-Kon. Then Chris and I talked about Naruto, Guilty Gear, and Smash Bros. Melee. What's scary about Chris is that he can use a character as a joke and then become incredibly good with it. For example, his Luigi in Smash is both annoying and frightening. That this is practically invincible!
During the evening I logged onto AIM and noticed that the "cute Sakura" was online. Since I was bored I figured it wouldn't hurt to message her, so I did. Later we started to play a little question game to pass the time. I learned a lot about her and she's a really cool person. She later asked why I was looking for her (I left I comment on a pic of us for her to email me). I told her that I'm not looking for a girl, but I wanted to contact her because I thought I'd like to get to know her, which is the truth. Also I said becuase she's pretty cute. What I wonder is why she asked me that question and what she thought the reason to my searching for her was.
Well, I'm off to bed now. Gotta wake up early for work. |

Batman Begins movie review June 17th, 2005
1:13AM
Just returned home from watching Batman Begins. It was really good; however, I believe it could've been better. The writing was clever and included quite a plot twist. The villain role of Ra's Al Ghoul was far more superior than that of the Scarecrow. The Scarecrow's role could've been enhanced greatly, especially close to the end of the movie; instead they just shrug him off.
I was a bit dissapointed that Danny Elfman didn't conduct the score. Because of that it didn't have the feel that I grew up with in the first two movies.
I liked that they changed the appearance of Gotham City (no more neon lights, Thank God!). The feel of the city was very similar to the original (minus the humongoloid statues in odd poses) especially when showing the slums.
Christian Bale does a good job of portraying the role of Bruce Wayne. It took some time to adjust to him as Batman since I'm used to Micheal Keaton's Batman (not to mention Val Kilmer's mock impersonation). Bale's Batman is both original and classic. He adds some of himself and yet maintains the dark and quiet composure of his voice. You can tell that there's a difference when Wayne dons his cape and cowl (unlike Clooney's Batman who was basically Bruce Wayne in a costume).
Micheal Caine also did a great job as the younger Alfred. It seemed that the role just came natural to him and he still retained the humor and serious attitude of the original Alfred.
Can't say much about Katie Holmes. For one, I'm not a big fan. Every other guy thinks that she's hot, but I don't. I'm not the person to fantasize about a celebrity. I'm more interested in real women.
Throughout the entire movie I kept trying to figure out who was playing the role of Dr. Krane/Scarecrow. I could've sworn that I've seen him in something else before but can't think of it.
Perhaps my favorite part of the movie was all the fight scenes. Can you say "ninja Batman?" Ninjas and Batman combined equals one pleased Shiro.
I'm really looking forward to the next installment. I probably wouldn't mind if they brought back Joker and Scarecrow, so long as they don't f**k it up. Batman against two crazed lunatics might not be a bad idea.
Shiro's rating:4 1/2 shurikens out of 5
Trailors that caught my attention:
Nightwatch
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire |

Today's Day June 16th, 2005
Today started off pretty badly. I had to go back to work today after having three days off. I was scheduled to work 9-5, so I set my alarm for seven in the morning. The stupid thing didn't go off till after eight. It was around 8:20AM when I got out of bed and headed for the shower. Since I was half asleep it took me a while to bathe. After that I got dressed, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and gelled my hair. I then noticed that it was 8:50AM and I then remembered that I had to be at work by 9AM.
I arrived to work late at around 9:11AM. One of my supervisors told me that I was late. I was to tired to say anything (also I knew that I was late), so I just nodded, clocked in, and started working. There was only three of us opening at nine. Claire (the one that told me I was late), Stephanie (my supervisor for the day), and myself. I started making the popcorn so that we'd have enough by the time we opened.
I also noticed that we had a new system installed during the three days that I was off. One of my managers showed me how to operate it, but most of it I learned on my own. So as people were ordering popcorn, hot dogs, sodas, etc. I was quickly learning the new system while ringing up their orders and handling the transactions. I was having a little trouble handling the money due to the bandages on my fingers. The reason for the bandages was that I got some cuts and burns on my fingers while opening the concession stand.
As the day went on, my day got better as I talked to my other co-workers and made weird jokes. Though I found it strange that I was the only guy in concessions today.
Later on, I picked up my schedule during my break and found out that I'm to be box-trained next week. Now I'll be able to work usher, concessions, and box office. I also noticed that I was a winner in the Best Ushers category for the weekend. Number one as well. As a winner I get a free poster of my choosing and I can bring two guests to tonight's employee screening. Unfortunately, the only movie we're getting this weekend is that new Hilarie Duff movie. So I'll just skip out on that, but I still get a poster so it's not that bad. I'm going to see if any of the Star Wars or Batman posters are up for grabs.
By the time 5PM came I was told that it was ok to clock out and go home. So I hugged Stephanie and headed home after clocking out. I might go back to watch the new Batman movie later tonight. Hopefully it's good. |
