I am so happy!
Today I took the day off from work in order to help my mom and my grandmother at a craft show. There was a cpouple the that were originally from Russia and the were selling beautifully handcarved Matroishka (sp?) dolls (The russian nesting dolls). I first saw them in 7th grade when a woman came in during our unit on Russia. She had a collection of them and I have liked the nesting dolls ever since. Each of the dolls that the couple were selling was a fairytale. My grandmother bought me a nesting doll and it wasn't until after we bought it that I realized what tale it was. It was one of my favorite storieswhen I was younger, Thumbelina! I am so happy that I have an authentic russian Matroiushka (sp?) doll!
