Ha. Ha ha. I found out I have the Pretear opening theme on CD. And I didn't mean to...
I'm am very entertained by my new recording programs. I'm mostly entertained by the ability to speed up or slow down the playback rate. It makes for some interesting effects. (Think Japanese boy band sounding like a bunch of black rappers, and the vocalist of the pillows sounding like a small, sad, lonely chipmunk on helium.) Ah, the simple things in life.

Because I art bored, a pronunciation guide for two languages
It's fun to know languages. Mwaha.
Fear my Japanese and Latin skills!
Japanese pronunciation junk-
All your vowels are pronounced the same way. Get used to it. Even if there is more then one of them. 'I' sounds like 'e', 'e' sounds like 'a', 'a' sounds like 'ah', 'o' sounds like itself, and 'u' sounds like itself without the y sound in the beginning. R's are ever-so-slightly rolled. Think of it as hitting the roof of your mouth with the tip of your tongue. Just practice. You'll get used to it. Also, often i's and u's are not pronounced, so pay attention to how other people say it. (For instence: "desu" = "dess")
Latin pronunciation junk-
Vowels are really similar to Japanese. You get a few variants, but they're easy to pick out. C's are always hard. T's are also always hard (scientia = skee-en-tee-a). Double l's are not pronounced as y's like in Spanish. V's are pronounced as W's (no matter how silly it sounds; try "provincia"). "Ae" is pronounced as it would be in Japanese, each letter by itself--Ah-eh to make an "ai" sound.
Ipsa scientia potestas est--Knowledge itself is power.

So, here I am. *briefly ponders the meaning of life*
Well, my dad and I finally started work on the script for a parody fandub of Himiko-den. It's tough, but I think it'll pull together. There is a bit of a plot, involving radioactive fish... Anyway, this was all caused by my poking around the Voice Acting Alliance webpage. There's a lot of interesting stuff there. I fooled around with Goldwave, a sound recording program, to see what my voice sounds like recorded and... blech. I hate it. Maybe I could do little squeaky furry animals, I dunno. I've got a terrible underlying accent that doesn't seem to come from anywhere in particular. Bah.
I'm getting better at drawing all the time now. The more full works I do the faster I improve, it seems. I'm happy about that. I just wish a I had a graphics program toresize my stuff with so I could send it in. ^_^ That would be fun.
On the downside, the three-day weekend is over. Back to school tomorrow. I hate school. It is evil. I'm tired. I want to nap and sit at my computer all day, not run and do sit-ups till I can't move (literally) and scribble down drawings frantically and get ugly homework and do hard quizzes with weird questions. Raaaaarrrgh. I'm a big monster come to eat everything.
I know I should be writing the second half of the second chapter of my second fanfic (how's that for repetition?), but it's just so hard. I'm not used to working with Yami all by himself. And how am I going to work school and friends into the story? I mean, Jou and Honda and Dogface--I mean, Anzu, are bound to notice that Yugi's gone and... Well, I won't spoil it for you any more than I already have. And I'm having a tough time in BG2, too. Can't get past that big main troll guy in de'Arnise Keep, or whatever it's called. So you see why I need a nap? ^_^U At least I'm trying to keep my face to the heavens, no matter how much it rains. I can do this, just...*yawn* gimme a sec.
I;m writing too much other stuff. I've got a bunch of other stories popping up from random drawings way back when. Raya Llusion brought up her own little story, and then a character, and some friends... Hell, that girl in my fanart ages back with the blue dress and crappy CG coloring? She's now a minor character in a huge other story I plan to make into a manga (doujinshi, probably). Now there is another race (elves of different hierachies and so forth), four god-like creatures, one main romance and other romantic conflivts, a main conflict, blah blah blah... It's a pretty developed thing by now. Aiee.
Now i must rest my tired fingers. Oyasumin. I'm happy Aleia's back. ^-^

My mom is a foodie, therefore I am a foodie. Just not so intensely.
Cheese. I don't understand how people came up with so many different kinds of cheese. And they're so different, too! How can we be sure they all actually fit into the same category called cheese? Take a few common kinds of cheese: bris, bleu, cheddar, and mozzerella. How are they similar? Well, they're all some kind of fermented milk product. But then you could say that perhaps natto and beer should be in the same food category, because they are both fermented plant product.
There is a fad going on these days. I don't know if anyone else has noticed it, but this fad is putting food into tubes. It started with string cheese, way back when, then evolved to Gogurt. Now most yogurt companies produce their own versions of Gogurt. Then there came the peanut butter tubes. Jiffy made these tubes of either peanut butter and chocolate or just plain peanut butter, which you could squeeze onto bread or eat by itself. Rather useful in the mornings when you're short on time. Then Jell-O in a tube, and pudding sticks by the same brand. They've even made cookie-flavored pudding (by Jell-O) and put it in a tube like Gogurt. How many food types can you fit into one product? And don't forget the popsicles in plastic tubes, which are impossible to eat properly and thoroughly, or open. So why tubes? Why not small boxes, like a bento, or some other geometric shape? I really don't know. But I do know that I will refrain from eating most of these foods for the simple reason that Gogurt doesn't taste like yogurt, I don't feel like eating an entire tube of pure peanut butter, and Jell-O disgusts me.
End of rants 1 and 2. Thank you. Look, bunnies!

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
Mr. Cabigas!
I'm alive. And tired. So nyah. Fear me, for I am tired and had a psych. appointment today. And an eye doctor appointment. I found out a rather frightening thing... I'm at risk for detached retinas. My granddad on my dad's side has that, and my nearsightedness is really bad. So for all I know someday I could go blind and have to have eye surgery or just be blind. *shudder* Let's hope that doesn't happen.
I'm surrently making a Remus Lupin wallpaper for my mom's computer. All drawn by me, except maybe the background (I'm still pondering how to handle that). Also, any suggestions for good print-out-graphics-publications programs, like Picture It! or an advanced version of Paint, would be great, especially if they're free.
And finally, as my last bit of important stuffs, I got a few Kino's Journey mp3's, so I am satisfied. Ah, I love Kino no Tabi...

So. All my teachers are satisfactory, except for... You guessed it, the lit. teacher. Her voice just annoys me. Oh well.

It's been a whole week! Terribly sorry about that. My network is still touchy, plus I got Baldur's Gate II (I'm an addict, oh dear), plus I had Japanese class all last week, plus now school has started for me. Oy.
OLGC is a nice place. I like their attitude and sense of togetherness without being communist-esque. We're all our own people, and that's how we connect. ^_^
Um, yeah, there's your spiritual specs on GC. Anyways... Freshman orientation is tomorrow, our retreat was today, and I'm scared to death. I know I'm not gonna get hazed or anything, it's not peer pressure I'm scared of, or other people. Just taking on so much new stuff at one time. I'm going to go insane for a few weeks while I get my bearings. Thankfully, I will have a locker, and thus my own personal space. Thank God. Hmm, mayhap I shall get some magnetic frames and put some bishie on my walls...
And I went to a Japanese bookstore on Friday with the Jap. class, and got an imported Furuba graphic novel. Ah, manga in kanji, the way it was supposed to be. Unfortunately, I can't read it. *sadness* But that's the nice thing about manga, all the pages are doused in picture-ness. Wheehay!
So here we go, into the next chapter of my life. Hopefully this one will turn out better then the last. And hopefully they won't mind if I don't add another college-going student to their list. I would hate for my own laziness to ruin their good name.
Oh yeah, and my skirts are WAY to small. They literally fit like a glove. Only, as in a glove instead of a skirt. Like I'm wearing a glove instead of a skirt. ...It's just bad, okay? (*mumblegottalayoffthepockygrumble*)

They can't keep me away
Back to Japanese classes with me. Ah, I love it and I hate it. Mostly love it though.
John was hurt! *gasp* Oh, yeah, umm, John-san was our anime teacher last time around. Anywayses, he was in an accident and wasn't feeling well today... But he'll be back tomorrow! I can't wait to see him again.
*heavy sigh* My heart has been broken by the laws of time. I just can't get to Nick. At this rate, I'm going to stay up until one in the morning and just bloody call him. I have no patience when it comes to things like this. Nope, none at all. Hope he didn't get sick again. o.o

Yay! I saw the Yugioh movie last night! Here is where I warn you about spoilers cuz I'm gonna review it. Be aware that this review may contain spoilers. Okay.
Well, it started out rather nicely, with the intro speech about ancient Egypt, blah blah blah. With the opening scenes, we had a narrator, who just had to repeat this one line three times, which was kind of annoying. Oh well. Nice incorporation of the actual Egyptian language throughout, I liked that.
Overall, the plot seemed very much like an action/adventure genre fanfic. There were a few points I wanted to press, especially when they brought up Anubis, acting as though he was a mortal being that had a dead body and so forth. If you want to be picky, which I love to be, either to you he is a concept or an actual god (depending on your religion, of course), so how can he be dead and possessing of a physical body that binds him to either life or death? Seeing especially as he's is the god of death, and you'd think he'd be able to do something about his being dead without all the fuss he puts up. But oh well.
Scattered into the scenes of the movie, there will be moments that would have been avoided if it was intended for a PG-13 audience. Most of them were during Seto's duel with Pegasus, but there were a few others. One of them, involving the word "dirty" made me crack up so hard, I was shaking in my seat trying not to disturb the other people. Also, a scene I hope was unintentional, when Anzu and some others are climbing up into a helicopter, and she's wearing her school uniform. Well, Sugoroku gets the honorary place beneath her on the ladder and getsa lovely view of her underwear, I'm sure.
Ah, well, you can get some neat pairing ideas from it! Heh heh... I dunno about Blue Eyes Shining Dragon though. Looks too much like Lugia to me. Oh well. The hound of Anubis was totally awesome. I want a doggy like that! Arf!
Ahem. For a brief opinion, I'd say it was good enough to see one or two times. There are bits for all audiences to laugh at, though be wanred: there will be some serious Anzu friendship speech crap. If you don't like that, I suggest waiting till it comes out on DVD, then fast-forwarding through her blabbing. Also, I'd wait a few days for the level of small children to go down, or else go to a more expensive theater. That's what I did, and it was only about a third little kids, and the rest teens, even some adults by themselves. o.o
Oh yeah, and Sorcerer of Dark Magic is super-hot. *innocent look*

I just love it when I clean out my binders and save whole forests. I mean, I think I just prevented all of South America's rainforests from being cut down by recycling the contents of my 8th grade school binders.
Among stuff almost thrown away were numerous character sheets and storylines. I think I advanced my manga career more during science class than any drawing period at home.
