Happy All Hallow's Eve, everyone! Enjoy the festive holiday colors. I'd like to hear about your Halloween experiences, whether they be parties, costumes, candy, decorations, whatever. (In case you couldn't tell, I LOVE THIS HOLIDAY!!)

So, here's the deal with moi: Our house will be unoccupied for most of the night except for the doggies, since my parents are going to play poker with Ash's parents. We're putting out some baskets of weird Asian candy, which should keep the kids feeling judicious. My mom and I worked hard on some demented ravens made from paper, paper-mache, wire, paint, feathers, and cardboard...whew. They also have little light-up eyes, so they'll glow as long as the batteries last. >_> We didn't do jack-o-lanterns for lack of time, but I really like our ravens, so I'm okay with that.
I'm going to be an undead Japanese school girl. At first I was thinking I'd just reuse my cosplay outfit (again), but then I decided to be undead too, to jazz it up. So, fake blood, lots of makeup, the whole shabang (sp?). And I'm a-goin' with my friends, and we're going to Perry Street, a street that gets really done up for Halloween, and blocked off and everything. Lisa will be an angel of death. Ashley will be...? Stephanie...???!?!? But anyway, I'm really excited and high on multiple sodas and a cup of coffee and some candy and some shortbread cookies and some french toast and I'm going to explode any minute now because I will spontaneously combust from the friction cause by typing to fast and for so long and-----

*deep breath*

So, once again, happy Halloween, and be safe tonight, whatever your plans. Also remember to enjoy yourself, because that's what holidays are for: relaxing and taking time out to be happy and spend time with people you like. And other stuff, but that's the important, non-religious part.

(Note: The religious part of this holiday--believe it or not there is one--is the connection to All Saint's Day, tomorrow, where we honor the saints and so forth. Halloween is another celebration of that combined with a Celtic holiday and a whole bunch of other junk from all over the place. But like all other original holidays it started out religious--cool!
