I just finished reading a humorous review of HP and the Order of the Phoenix, and that brought it all rushing back...
Rowling makes me mad. I don't think she's a bad person or anything. I'm just mad at her in my selfish little fangirlish way. I adored the books--until decisive things started happening. Cedric made me edgy. Sirius made me sob uncontrollably (I was psychologically damaged for a good week after that, at least), Ginny upset me (since when is she allowed to grow up and be an annoying teenager?), and then Remy, stolen away by that demon-girl... I used to like her too, but not anymore. *growls* Come on, Author-Lady, you're not giving the fanfic writers what they need to surive! Although, honestly speaking, these days I read only maybe three or four different authors that I have surveyed thoroughly and finally approved. I'll say, though, WOW, that Christmas-themed Remy-Siri fic by Miko No Da... Orgasmic, in more than one way. I wish all fics were like that. Just beautiful.

And now that I've rambled around and around that topic for a rather large paragraph, it's news time! Let's see. I'm working a little on my two video game storylines. I sketched up the first page of my potential webcomic, Pixel Dancer. I did a nice watercolor last night. Plans are being made for Katsucon and Otakon. I'm plowing slowly through the tough bits of my stories (In Raya's story, I'm working on getting her to the next meeting with the incubus Shinsa, but even then it's a long road to where I can finally write about Shinsa and Mabrey, which will be my reward after all the tough factual writing to do with demons, herbs, and weapons; in Blue Sky I'm working on orchestrating Sky and Chris's first sex scene...meep o.o). I started writing a story based on my personal FMA "fantasies"--about my self-insert character and her family and village and her various plights. I should write about her some time. It seems like when I get to composing self-insert scenes I spend more time on my characters than on their interactions with the original ones. Writer's instinct, I guess. ^_^U I have fun writing their stories though. Idea!: Each day this week I'll write a post about a different self-insert character. That should keep the updates steady and maybe even interesting. I might also include a few real narrative scenes instead of just facts and bios.

Oy, this post is long enough already. Other, more important news I need to get out: My beloved monitor's on the fritz. I finally got the exam registration forms for my green belt exam in karate *excitement*. There was a snow day today so there was no school. There is tomorrow though, so I'm off to bed. Night!
