Well, one more free day, and then it's off to CSM. Daa! So hard to imagine! Today was my last day at work, too....

The trip to the Springs yesterday was fun! First time driving without some who knew where they were going, so it was interesting. Yeah, I got lost a couple times... Partly because of directions and partly because of my inexperience with city driving, but it was fun anyway. ^^ Satsuki and I cosplayed, too!! Oh, it was great! The looks we got in the mall were hilarious. Especially the kids. "Mommy, look, they have cat ears! Wow!" We spent our money at Borders and Media Play. Oh! And Mobo's--a really really good sushi place. They have wonderful miso soup, and the yum yum rolls, salmon, and tuna are my favorites! Soooo good! Oh! And there was a place in the mall that sold Japanese food and snacks, so we got pocky and ramune. It was Satsuki's first time trying ramune. So fun to open the bottles!! But anyway, I ended up getting vol 2 and 3 of DNAngel, X the Movie and a Newtype magazine. We stopped at some clothing stores and I found another sailor shirt. This time long sleeved! Uniform #3 is completed. ^^

Watched X today. Really, the animation is a lot better than I was expecting. The story line took a while to get used to, though. Just because it is SOOO different, ne? Not to mention depressing! Goodness. I didn't think X could get more depressing..... (Why'd they have to kill off Subaru within the first... 10 minutes was it?? ::sniff::) But in and of itself, the movie was well done. And the ending theme is by X [Japan]! (A major reason why I bought the DVD... ^^;;)

Cosplay update
Hehe, I knew I forgot something in the last post! Don't exactly know why I log out of here sometimes... always end up needing back on....

Anyway, I'm happy to announce I've finished my cosplay costumes. ^_^ "Finished" as in I probably won't work on them anymore--they'll do for the con. My perfectionist side is kicking in and I'm finding a bunch of details I left out, and I think I made Subaru's hat a little too big..... But time is rather short. >.< Anyway, only two out of three got done, but that's ok. I'm still happy! (It'll probably work better that way.) ^^ My mom cut the wig to the right style--I think she had fun with it, and she made it look so cool!! ^_^ Yay! Now, I'll take some pics and see if I can post them on the cosplay section, ne?

Stuff
Hey, all. Sorry I haven't been on for a while. Sooo busy with these last couple weeks before school. Eh, I leave Friday and classes start the 23 at CSM. I probably won't have much of a life outside of studying for a while, so I won't be posting much. T_T And I'm not gonna get to visit anyone, either. Waaa!

You know, saying goodbye to all your friends really stinks. Even when you're like me and don't have many friends, it's still hard! Sheesh, I've cried a lot lately. I suppose when I had to tell Laura goodbye, the fact that I'm really going away sunk in. Larua was the one who got me to go to youth group. And she was the one who introduced me to Christian music with the Newsboys. After we said goodbye, one of the Newsboys' songs came on KLOVE. ::crys a lot:: Coincidence? Don't think so. ^^

Today was a really hard day, too. Lots of junk happened, plus I had to say goodbye to my best friend since freshman year.
Gyaa! But let's not think of that! Instead I'll focus on my trip to the city tomorrow with Satsuki. Yeah, that's it! The last shopping spree before college, and most time will be spent at Media Play and the mall, probably at Borders and Heroes and Dragons. Lots of anime. ^_^ I think my friend and I are going to cosplay, since she can't go to the con in September. We'll wear the uniforms in my "Satsuki and Boo" pic! ^_^ Should be great fun!

Life's hectic, so we should make the best of it, ne? ::sighs and falls asleep::

   Yay!! Anime stuff
I just finished the Cardcaptor Sakura manga today! It's soooooo cute! ^_^ The end was great--when Sakura gave the bear she made to Syaoran and he named it after her. Awwww! ^^ Hey, does anyone know if that's a real custom? To make a teddy bear and give it to the one you love? ^^ I've seen it once before, come to think of it. (But I'm not telling which anime... I'll get hate mail for sure. ^^;;) But anyway, CCS is great!! Go CLAMP, once again! ^_^

I've gotten into several new anime lately. Yakitate!! Japan is really good! It's about this kid who want to make Japan's best bread (get it? Ja-pan, pan=bread ^^). Sounds strange, I know, but it's good all the same. And another one that I'm so entirely obsessed with... almost as obsessed as I am with X, and that's a scary thing..... hehe, yeah... Oh! and Tusbasa's cool, too! Again by CLAMP. Some of the manga's out in the US now. Really, the manga's better than the anime, but they did a good job anyway. ^^ Fai's so cute! ::fangirl squeal::

Daa!
Summer's so busy. I can't believe it's almost over. I have so much stuff I'm trying to get done, and definitely not enough time to do it. Let's see... writing a story (partly because my friend and I swap stories, so if I don't write any, I don't get to read any of hers ^^), pics for friends, pics for me, read (manga and other books), pack for college, finish cosplay stuff, work, hang out with friends before I have to leave, youth group..... It all makes for a fun time, but time flies, you know?

Along the lines of youth group, we had a mini retreat last night. It was fun! Except one of our members got hurt playing capture the flag. He fell and broke his collar bone. Poor guy. I guess he wanted to come back right away after going to the emergency room! Amazing.
But two of the kids organized the whole thing. We played games for most of the afternoon yesterday, and then Aaron did his lesson. A friend and I had a little cry-fest afterward. I mean, this is one of the last things we get to be a part of in this youth group! ::sniff:: Anyway, we stayed up late. I'm kinda sleepy now, especially because we had to get up early this morning to come back to town. ^^

And last week, Elitches was a blast! Got to ride a whole bunch of rollercoasters! I even conquered my fear and went on the old wooden Twister II. LOL!

Well, that's my life now. ^^ Even with a new comp, I've not been able to visit everyone very much. Gomen ne again! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

   YAY!!!!!!!!
Hi all! Guess what? I got a new comp!!! PTL! I'm so so so happy! And I hooked it up by myself and everything. (Really, this is a huge feat. Machines of any kind generally hate me, soooo... lol).
I probably won't be visiting anyone until Thurs, tho. I've gotta download some programs and transfer all our other files first. Should be interesting.

We go to Elitch Gardens tomorrow for youth group! Yay! Fun fun!

Hmm, what else? I've nearly finished two costumes for NDK. ^^ I think that might be all I do, tho... Not enough time or money to make the last one. T_T Maybe next year?

Went to an orientation day at the School of Mines. I'm starting to get excited but still generally freaking out! LOL! ^^;; Got my room-mate assignment... should call her soon, ne? Gyaa! All the cool extra-curricular stuff Mines has is awesome! That'll be a relief from all the studying future engineers have to do. ::sigh:: lol!

News
Well, here's some news from my end.
I got baptized yesterday!!!!! I'm so excited! It was really cool, too. My youth minister baptized another girl and me right after our Mission Mexico presentation. Since it was done in the Baptist Church, we got fully submerged. The whole thing was so awesome!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!

Now, news of the comp. Still dead... Getting worse. The evil oni of the comp world hates me, for sure, I think. But, my mom said we could get a new one. I'm so excited! ^_^ What kind would you comp people out there suggest?

Once again, REALLY sorry I can't visit you all! I'm so sad about that. I miss you guys a lot!!! ::sniff::

   Cosplay
Summer's busy again. The trip to Washington got canceled, but I've found ways to fill up the time! ^^ The other night, I had a dream about Nan Desu Kan (anime convention in Denver in Sep.). It got me all hyped up to start working on my costumes, sooooo. I've officially started collecting, altering, making stuff for the three days of the convention!
I *was* gonna finally cosplay as a girl, but.... didn't work out, so I'll be going as Subaru from Tokyo Babylon/X all three days--just different outfits each day! ^^ I'm so excited!! Making costumes is so entirely fun! Add to that, they're CLAMP's costumes... yeah! ^_^

New Pics... and stuff
Well, I'm posting some new pics for you all. Be warned, they are very old ones. Originally, I wasn't gonna post much stuff from my other site, but since I don't use that one anymore... I thought I could put at least some of the better pics here on Otaku. Enjoy, and please be kind and constructive with your comments! Thanks a bunch! ^_~

Aah... now comes the "and stuff" part. I'm so happy! Just this week, all the stuff I ordered came in!!! Yay!!! Finally finished up the Tokyo Babylon manga series, and got X 18. ^_^ I love TB's ending! Wish the movie/OAV/whatever-it-is would have done a better job with animating it. I mean, the stories in the movies are good, but they're not the *real* story of Tokyo Babylon, you know? Ah, well, that's what the manga's for, ne? Ooh, and while we were at the Houston airport, I bought To Heart vol 1. It's so cute! Kawaii!
(Sheesh, and just a year ago, I would have told anyone that I don't like reading manga much...... haha!)
