I'm Back
Hehe! Well hello everyone! I'm back from Japan... well, technically I got back on March 29, but have been overloaded with school work.
But ANYWAY... Japan is AWESOME!!!! I was there for two weeks and I want to go back sooo bad. I really felt at home there (besides the fact that I couldn't understand much of what people were saying....) ^^ One day, I got to go to Tokyo with my host family's two daughters. (They are so cool! Love ya, Megumi and Yurika!!) Rode the trains and subway to see the Shibuya 109, Tokyo Tower and Asakusa. Yeah, it was cool. A mini X tour with the 109 and Tower! ^_^ We went to Asakusa in the evening. It was so pretty!
About half the time, i stayed with an American missionary family there. The other half was spent with my Japanese host family. They live in Ryugasaki, Ibaraki-ken.
Bought a BUNCH of manga! Seriously cheap in Japan. Brand new is about 500 yen! That's about $5!! Then, if you go to a discount shop, it's only 50-100 yen. Sugoi, ne?!! Bought nearly all of X, FMA ani-manga, Fruits Basket, Fushigi Yuugi, NANA (really big in Japan right now), and some gifts for friends... ^_^ Oh!! At that discount shop, they had CDs for 280 yen! ACK!! SOOO cheap! Bought some TWO-MIX, Glay, an X chara profile... And L'arc~en~ciel full price. YAY!!!
100 yen shops in Japan are cool. Nearly everything is 100 yen, and it's really good stuff. Got a bunch of dishes and other stuff at those. Everything I got from the shops were paid for me by the people I went with. The Japanese are REALLY into gift giving!! It's hard to out-serve them. I felt kinda bad about that. One lady (she was really "traditional" and did a tea ceremony for me and all...) gave me tabi socks, a haori and sandals!! GAVE me!! I can't believe it. Sooooo awesome! I got to try on a kimono at her house, too! It was cool. ^_^ She took me to a bath house, too. Yeah, public* bath house. It really wasn't bad, though. Got really dizzy--the water was so hot!
Well, that's all I'm gonna write today. Maybe more later, if you want! ^_^ message me if you'd like to talk about Japan, etc... Or e-mail... ^_^
Bai-bai!

Opinion Poll
OK, here's something to think about.
Imagine your English teacher told you to write a bunch of short stories. When you finish, you look back on your work and realize each story gets progressively darker and bloodier. What do you think:
A) I need to see a psychologist.
B) I can't turn these in! They'll think I'm a danger to the school.
C) I *am* a danger to the school.
D) I've been reading/watching way too much X (X/1999).
E) I need to start writing my own manga!
If you want, put your answers in my guest book... ^^

^^
Almost Christmas break! Yay!
A couple of friends and I are going to have an anime Christmas party. We're going to cook all kinds of Japanese food, including Christmas cakes and watch, oh, about 15 hours of anime--one episode from each (or most) of our series.
Hmm, just bought X/1999 11 and 12 and Tokyo Babylon 1 and 2! I'm so happy! Hmm, the Tokyo Babylon movie is severely lacking in content, ne? I think I'm going to have to add X as one of my all-time favorite series...
What else...? Just finished a cel for art class. I'll have to post it, ne? It's one of Subaru and Hokuto... ^^
That's all for now.

ACK!
Yeah, so I haven't been here for forever! Sorry 'bout that... Anyway, school's going. That's about all. Busy busy with senior year, homework, scholarships, college apps, and work. >< I don't like it. Oh well.
NDK went really well. It turned out that 4 friends went. I cosplayed as Duo and one of our gang cosplayed as Sally from Gundam W. Hehe, fun. The Cosplay contest was great... For anyone who knows what I'm talking about--Dragon Balls!! OK, sorry, I couldn't resist. It was just so funny! Oh oh, and "Flawless." OK, I'm done. But we got to see Akina!!!! And Kumiko Kato, plus the Dobsons! How great is that? Of course, spent too much in the dealer's room, but, hey, I'm happy!
What else...? Just recently, I got the Soul Hunter boxed set. Only $30 for 26 episodes! Anyway, It's great! And I'm enjoying the X TV series too, though the manga's better in my opinion... Both have pretty pics, tho, ne? ^^
Well, that's it for now. Hopefully I can come back sooner next time!

^^
Well, I'm STILL alive! Amazing, really. But NO MORE THAI MINI CAFE FOR ME!!! Yay!!! Yesterday was my last day. Until my art teacher reminded me, I had completely forgotten what it was I was workin for, you know. Ack! I'm so glad she mentioned it...
Well, summer is almost over! Hard to believe this is my last year in high school. Scary, really. People always say high school goes by really quick. They're absolutely right.
Hmm, Nan Desu Kan is coming up soon. In September. ::jumps up and down:: I'm sooooo happy! And a couple of friends are coming along this time too. At least one is cosplaying. We still have to convince the other to. HAVE TO CONVINCE HER. I'll make the costume if I have to... Shouldn't be too hard; I've done it before. Well anyway, I'll tell everyone about that when the time comes.
Hmm, what else? I've got about 3 tapes full of recorded shows from Adult Swim and Toonami that I still need to watch. Thankfully, I'll have some time this next week. The stupid VCR ate one of them. Grrr. So, I'll be looking to buy a new one pretty soon.
Language lessons going along pretty well with Takeshi. He's only got about a month left here. I'm so sad. He's such a cool guy, tho. I bet he's really missed in Japan!
I think that's about all for right now. Hopefully, I'll be back to write more soon. Maybe I can even draw a bit!

Quckie
Well, here's a quick little post to let you all know I am still alive. Summer has been SOOOO busy! I think it's worse than school, if that's at all possible. Two jobs and a whole bunch of other junk makes it really stressful. Gee, I shouldn't complain... this is what I asked for, isn't it?
Hmmm, as far as anime is concerned, a couple of friends and I have a little anime club/anime night thing going on just about every week. Yay! I'm so happy. Isn't it just great to sit back with some friends (who, btw actually know what's going on) and watch 6+ straight hours of anime? (Yes, 6 is a little weak, but it's all I have time for! Waaaaaa!!)
More later,
Ja!
