   Con Report
Sorry it took me a week to get to this. But I had two exams this week, so studying took up some time.

Nan Desu Kan 9, 2005, held at the Marriott in the Denver Tech Center. Bigger hotel, smaller convention rooms, but it was all good. This was the first year I was able to stay *at* the con hotel. It was so nice! For me, this was the best con so far. Granted it’s only my fourth and I’ve only been to NDK, but it was great!

Fri, I had clac until four, so I got there a bit late. Got the room and changed into costume. Eventually, I found the cosplay contest line, which was very very long. I didn’t make it in, since they cut it off at 75 people, but I did meet Hokuto!! We basically hung out the rest of the weekend. Oi, I’ve never had so many people want to take pictures. This was probably the simplest costume I’ve ever made, too! LOL!! Just goes to show that you don’t have to have a flashy costume to be recognized. It was even better on Sat when Hokuto was actually cosplaying. We hung out pretty much all day, so people easily recognized us as brother and sister. Oh, oh! On Fri, we met an older Subaru and Seishiro. Ooh, they made a good cosplay group, except Subaru should have been innocent Subaru rather than broken Subaru… with her personality and all. ^^ Okay, back to Sat. We found a whole bunch of TB cosplayers, so we all got together and did a huge photo shoot! ^^ Hmm, the panels that I went to were good—stuff like “How to Live in Japan” and “Voiceover Workshop with Toshifumi Yoshida.” Got to see Brad Swaile, Monica Rial, Carrie Savage, Deb Rabbai, and Trevor Devall. The dealer’s room was overwhelming again. Too many cool things to buy. Ended up getting a couple manga, a Loveless artbook, a Hyde poster, a GLAY CD, some pins and a keychain. Oh, and ramune for my roommate and neighbor. ^^ The cosplay contest went well. There were many good ones this year! Good job to all of them!
The costume I was wearing for Sat ended up falling apart by 5, so I changed back into innocent Subaru, and Hokuto, older Subaru and Seishiro had a good time teasing me. ^^;; Hokuto did a good job of being my sister for the weekend. This was the fist time I’ve ever actually *cosplayed* in the real meaning of the word—where you actually play out your character. It was just so easy to be Subaru. Oi, I knew what Hokuto was going to say, and I still blushed! lol!
Sun. was depressing. By the end of the day, nearly everyone was gone, and there were few still in costume. ::sniff, sniff:: And Hokuto-chan left me. Then I had to come back to school. ::waterfall of tears:: However I got to relive some memories at Kendo talking to some people who were there. That was fun.
Well that’s about it. Sorry it’s so sporadic. I just typed what came to mind. ^^;;

Later, and have a great day!!
