WHAT INCONCEIVABLE TIMING!!
A friend from "the outside" and I were collaborating on a new look for my website, and I wanted to go with a trance theme. (Enter the whole Bowery Electric montage) When the process was complete, and we went back to check our work, we got the error message. . . that same dreaded error message that signaled the website's seeming armageddon this weekend. Cue the wide eyes and the big UH OH--jeez, was it just me??? After several silly attempts at re-entry, an unnecessary reboot, and some stupid looks (gaping jaws), I was finally informed by my more techno-savvy compatriot that no, we hadn't managed to completely screw up my account--theOtaku was indeed down. Could we have timed up better? Kinda comedic. . .
