Post time: 7:59p.m. CT
Current Music: "The Pledge" by Dir en grey
I'm over my cravings now, so no worries. ^__^ I also changed some font sizes and table widths, so hopefully those of you who had trouble seeing my posts before can see them better now. Today was rather interesting to say the least. Jessie picked me up this morning and we got Kayla afterwards. We got to the school at around 7:35-ish and they let me out so I could change into the Tripp jeans in the restroom in school. You see, my mother wouldn't appreciate her innocent (pfft...) little daughter wearing that "Gothic stuff" in public, and she was home this morning, so she knew what I wore. *rolls eyes* I love those pants...I need to save money to try and get a pair for myself. =3 After that, everyone who was going to the critique loaded up into the vans. My van consisted of our teacher, Mrs. Harris, Kayla Susie (blech!), Jessie, Kayla, Hayworth, Kitti, and myself. I had Kitti listen to "Grief", "Agitated Screams of Maggots", and "Clever Sleazoid" to see what she thought of DIRU's new songs. She said she loved me and would pay money for me to burn her a copy. X3 I laughed and told her she didn't have to because I loved her so much. OMG! I almost forgot to mention this! Kitti and I were both wearing Tripp jeans, odd shoes, AND our zombie DIRU shirts! =D It was so cool...*ahem* When we got to the college, we gave the people who were setting up our pieces (mine was a surrealism painting...I'll try to remember to bring my camera to school tomorrow and take pictures of it and another of my paintings to show you guys), got our name tags, and picked out the tutorial schmingers we wanted to try. Jessie, Kayla and I picked the same ones so we wouldn't be alone. First we went to an embossed print-making tutorial. I made one of Kyo's kanji, a heart, and a little skull. X3 Next I had my critique with my group. My painting was one of the last ones we went over. The instructor guy said that over-all it was a good painting and he really liked how I used dull colors to make other dull shades come out. ...okay... After that, we went to the mall to eat lunch. I got a turkey breast 6" sub and a cookie from Subway. =D~ Holy cows...when I was waiting in line, I saw this girl that was a few yards away and I caught her eye; we were both wearing Dir en grey shirts!!! We grinned at each other and gave the thumbs up. I was really tempted to run up to her and tell her that she needed to be my friend. Kayla and I decided to pitch in a dollar each to get some crab Rangoon from a Chinese place. Oh, how I missed Chinese food...

Why can't REAL people be this incredibly adorable???
We headed back to the college and went to our next session, which for us was drawing. We drew something we liked from a still life set up in the middle of the room, then rotated to another person's drawing to add on to it. The last thing we did was use cow-sticks (these pastel/paint sticks that have a wax coating to keep it from drying out...farmers use them to mark cattle and pigs, hence the name) to draw on a mural. I drew an emo-boy. XD When we were done, we got to take whatever part of it we wanted home, and I gave the emo-boy to Jessie and she colored him in with black charcoal. Our next thing we went to was graphic design. We got to design our own company logo or some such thing...pretty boring, but the computers were really nice. ^^ After that, everyone had a group critique. It was really boring, and Kayla, Hayworth and I just sort of talked quietly to ourselves. :/ We got in the vans when we were done and Mrs. Harris had to stop at Walgreens to get something for her camera, so everyone got to go in and get anything we wanted. Kayla, Jessie, Kitti, and I each put in money to buy a pint of ice cream (2 for $4), and a bag of plastic spoons that we enjoyed on the way back to school. =D Mmm...Double fudge-brownie! We got back to the school without any incident and us ice cream buyers hung out in the bathroom while we waited for the bell to ring. Then I nearly tackled Austin as he was going to his locker, and slapped my name-tag on Yumi. XD So yeah, it was pretty fun! ^__^ And next Monday is the Woodbury County (the county my school is in) Art Conference, and there are ribbons and medals handed out for this one, along with the critique.
