My Rant on what it means to be Canadian with a little help from Joe
ok.... i read the comments on my site at....about 3ish MyO time.... i feel the need to get a few things straight...... first off Zoye... yep... you get a Canadian like me and we are very loud when it comes to being Canadain.... but same with anybody from any country... you get the right person and they will defend their country to the bitter end no matter what the topic is..... Night Shade... (sigh) it just bugged me.... we have provinces... not states.. therefor the parks are provincial parks.. not state parks.. but they are very, very pretty... provided you can put up with the tourists... Jasper is so pretty... ok from that comment you can all narrow down which province i live in.... im so tired of hiding.....Nausicaa.. ok in the middle we have Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.... these provinces are mostly dependent on agriculture such as those there fields of wheat and cows (mostly alberta with the cows), Alberta also has oil... i tend to think of it as the Canadian Texas... cause thats the only real comparison... But not really.... (actaully alberta is considered by a few to be the most american like province....BUT WERE NOT AMERICAN!!!!).....i so do not fit in with my province........up north we have the three territories... Nunavut, Northwest Territories and the Yukon..... yea.... to tell the truth there aint much up there... diamond mines(if my mind does not fail me.. which granted it has a tendency to do every once in a while), uhhhh... not trees.. thats for sure... and overall a very small population........ (reading comment).... (shakes head) Howee................. ok your just an a**.... i hope to god you were kiddin with the national anthem thing... otherwise...(SMACK!!).... i feel the need to post a rant not by me..... go figure its from a beer add, eh? thats one thing we do have... damn good beer (hehe... i dont even drink beer and i hope you get a damn good hangover from that Canadian Whiskey Howee)

Hey,
I'm not a lumberjack, or a Furtrader,
and I don't live in an igloo,
or eat blubber
or own a dogsled.
And I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
although I'm certain they're really, really nice.

I have a prime minister... not a president,
I speak English and French, not American
and I pronounce it About, not A-boot.

I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack,
I believe in peacekeeping, not policing,
diversity not assimilation,
and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.

A toque is a hat,
a chesterfield is a couch,
and it IS pronounced Zed,
not Zee... ZED!!
Canada is the 2nd largest land mass,
the 1st nation of hockey,
and the best part of North America.

My name is Joe...
and...I......AM......CANADIAN!

Thank you.

and for the record.. when i hear Canadian i think.... kick a** music.... (not shania twain or Celine dion.. we got our share of crap too) Sum 41... Billy Talent, Barenaked Ladies.... Avril Lavigne (if your into that), Simple Plan, Nickleback... the best freakin rock group ever Danko Jones....Stabilo, Swollen Mmebers, Paul Brant.... all sorts of wicked awesome music...kinda went off on a tangent didnt I? we also have one of the largest Rodeos Ever.. the Calgary Stampede.... we are peacekeepers.. not terrorists or war mongerers ...(funny and right now im at war).... The main thing I think of when i think Canadain is freedom of will.........(after the music of course).... I am free to be and do and believe what i want when i want... and lastly... I AM CANADIAN!!! NOT AMERICAN.... thank you for putting up with my pride in my country....im going to go hide now before the horde of enraged foreigners hunts me down...(and that basically means all but three of my friends)…
