'She stared at the far wall across the room. She suspected that if it hadn't been completely plastered in posters, it'd be a dull, boring color. And blank, just how she felt at that moment. It was ironic in the fact that she was sitting in the guidance office, a place where cheerful emotions were supposed to be abundant. But here this girl was, waiting for her certain doom, painfully aware of her new schedule printing up with a clatter. The sound of unoiled hinges squeaked through the air, and she looked up sharply. At the door was another girl, entering from the yellow-walled hallway.'

'The girl sitting blinked, and nodded her head curiously. Was this the girl what would take her to class? The other merely stared, unblinking. "Ah, Rachel! I was wondering where you were," the secretary suddenly spoke up,"we were waiting for you!" The woman took the schedule from the printer and handed copies to Rachel and the new student. "Rachel, this is Mei. Mei, Rachel." Both of the girls nodded respectively, and left the office silently.

In the hallway, Mei looked at her guide again. She had a small, stooped frame, and didn't seem to be the type to talk. Mei frowned. Hopefully she'd at least explain the schedule to her: she'd never really had one before.

Rachel opened a door at the end of the hallway, and led her charge inside. A tall blonde turned around, a smile bright on her face.

"Well, look who we have here!" Mei assumed this was her teacher, and tried to smile. It faltered as her eyes swept over the foreign classroom, taking in the battered carpet and bored stares she was recieving. The teacher went on to give her a seat and introduced her to the class. Rachel didn't say a word as her friend was moved to give Mei room to sit. Mei slid down in the seat, getting used to her new reality. It wasn't anything like before.

She hated it.

She tried to disappear.'
