I want to live
I want to live in a place
Where islands float in the sky,
Where people can talk to animals,
Where one week anarchy can reign,
But then a feudal government declares war.
Where people aren’t all they seem,
They could have hidden powers
Of water, darkness, fire, or light
Or they can fly.
I want to go into space one day,
Then be in medieval Europe the next.
Wouldn’t it be nice?
To be what you want?
To have the world modeled from your imagination?
I want to live in the realm of the mind.
Where things are as I think of them,
Physics can take a vacation,
Gravity will look the other way,
People can travel through solid objects,
While chickens are exceedingly philosophical,
Don’t you think that would be interesting?
A place where the world can change from flat to round,
To a rectangular prism with seven moons,
And you can fall off the end?
And mice bought the world,
While the dolphins muck about in the water.
