The delayed rant.
I have just developed a sincere loathing of Taos.
Firstly, we were just there for the first time so we just drove around. When it wasn't scary, it was dull. Lethaly boring. And since we were just driving the town looked like a bunch of run down buildings and then some cheap tourist plaza place.
Secondly, it was so high up. We, of course, had to go skiing, so when we got to the bottom of the mountain I felt light headed and had altitude sickness. Eventually I felt better, but the skiing was scary. A trail 15 feet wide next to a giant ravine isn't the nicest thing to ski next to. Althought there were some good trails...
Thirdly, it was my grandmother's house... she's a sort of epitome of "bitter old woman" and she always has something bad to say about my mum's family. And when I started crying because I really hate new mexico (I couldn't wait to leave) she said i should go to counseling... >.<
Fourthly... is there a fourthly? Oh yeah. The house we stayed at was new, so the propane didn't work... that meant the heat would stop around 2 am and we couldn't cook in the morning.
Lastly, and this is fairly unrelated: The plane, when it was landing, kept tipping from side to side, like the pilot was drunk or something... scary!
Bye everybody!
Wait! Friday went well, I love being back in massachusetts, even if it is full of hypocrits. I went to a sushi buffet lunch and explained, in part, the etymology of the word "butt" to my seven year old cousin.
Ok, now bye!
