Tom Welling (Clark Kent)

Tom Welling was born on April 24, 1977 in New York. He went to high school at Okemos High School in Okemos, Michigan, where he graduated in 1995.

Tom did some modeling for the Louisa Modeling agency and then got his first big break, playing "Rob the karate instructor" in several episodes of CBS's Judging Amy during the 2000-2001 season. He also has made appearances on UPN's Special Unit 2 and FOX's Undeclared.

According to the WB's website, Tom currently resides in Los Angeles. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, playing basketball with friends, and running.

Clark Kent

* Twelve years ago, a meteor shower streaked across the sky... the Kents went to their field to check it out, and they found a strange metallic craft that has crash-landed into a smoking crater. A three year old boy crawled out.

* The Kents told friends that Clark was the child of Martha's sister who had passed away and left the child in their care. Jonathan went to Metropolis to have a fake birth certificate made.

* When Clark's powers began to develop, the Kents told him he was adopted and that he had to keep his special powers a secret. To keep from revealing himself, Clark went towards academics rather than sports.

* Clark has a major thing for Lana Lang, and worships her from afar. Once she even made him pass out. This is actually because she has a necklace that contains a piece of a certain green rock (Kryptonite).

* Clark will be played by newcomer Tom Welling, who has appeared on some episodes of "Judging Amy."

* This time around Clark will have no costume, so no secret identity -- and, surprise....no glasses.
