R.I.P.
A girl that goes to a nearby school died today after a gun hijacking and was shot in the head. The gunman then shot himself afterwards. She was the same age as me - 16, junior in high school.
According to everyone, she was the sweetest and most kind girl anyone could ever meet and she didn't deserve this.
One boy tried to defend her, but when the gun was pulled to his head, he was forced to leave six girls who were kept captive. Four girls were eventually released, one escaped, and the last one was shot in the head when the gunman became agitated and frustrated with the negotiations.
I wanted to cry when I heard about this. I've been watching the news since after school (2:30 PM) until now (10:30 PM). I'm weary, and I'm depressed because this brings back memories of my friend who died during my freshmen year in high school.
All I can say is, R.I.P. Emily Keyes - hope it's great where you're at, cause it definitely sucks down here.
