“Don’t worry,” he said, “I may not look it by I never brake my word.”
“What did you do to him?” I yelled, anger welling up inside me. “Did you kill him?”
The demon laughed. “Now, now don’t get too angry or else I’ll be able to kill you. Believe me you can’t beat me, and that would only make your fathers sacrifice in vain and you wouldn’t want that.” He said this mockingly, as though he didn’t care. “But to answer your question, no I didn’t kill him. I put him through the same torture I had to suffer.” There was malice in his voice. “You can go see him if you want, I wont be hear when you get back though. I have information to gather.”
“Good,” I thought, “let’s see how you like our society; I bet you can’t take bullets.”
No sooner had I thought this, however, then he began to change. His wings shrank into his back, his horns vanished into his skull, and his skin began to pale. Soon there stood before me a normal-looking human man. Same muscular build as the demon, but on a smaller scale. The only thing that was really different was his arm; it had a tattoo of a snake running down it, not much but I could use that if I ever needed to find him again. Which I planned to do!
He began to walk away, and I realized I wanted to see what he did to my dad. I saw another light where the first one had been so I ran towards it. When I came to the spot where the demons statue had been I saw it wasn’t there anymore. Instead my dad stood there spear in hand, that’s what was giving off the light. I just feel to my knees and cried.
I don’t know how long I was in there. All I know is that there I realized it was all my fault, and I had to make it right. I realized it was my duty to bring this demon down, for my father. No matter what the cost, I would push my body to my limit if I had to, nothing would stand in my way.
“I will destroy you Rorret.” I yelled out, and it was a promise.
“Bad timing kid,” said a voice behind me
