Happy Valentines Day!
Just wanted to update and wish everyone a happy Valentine's day!... or single's awareness day, or anti-valentine day, or whatever you so choose to celebrate. And now for some announcements:
I've decided to extend the contest for another week. I've had a lot of drama to deal with lately and I just don't think the time has been any better for anyone else. So here's what I'm going to do: New deadline- February 21st. Exatly one week from today. Contest ends at 11:59 PM that night, all submissions for banner design must be in by then. Please, send in descriptions, sketches, whatever floats your boat! Just remember no hentai. I absolutely refuse to draw that, especially considering that isn't what this is all about.
Next, I may be able to post a valentine's day special soon. Just a one page comic, about four panels, and I got the idea in Philosophy, of all places! --' I have mental issues, obviously. And I'd love to hear what people would like to see as future fillers. As demonstrated by the mermaids, I'm still playing around with styles and such on paintshop. Fillers are a good way to practice on that.
Okay, last harp about the comic. Anyone understand HTML? Well enough to help me create a character page? See, this comic has about 14 to 16 people already... and that's with just eight chapters scripted. Normally you don't see that many people in my work, and it's got to be confusing. So, anyone who can help me out here... well, I can't pay you, POOR college student. But I can credit you on the page. ^_^' Small help, I know. But I'm really going to start advertising this thing soon. Comicgenesis, maybe? Blurb in e-mail signatures? Something... anyway, I still think word of mouth, or in this case, computer, is the best advertisment one can get, and it's free for the most part, which really helps me out. I actually had to get my mom to pay my convention registration fee...
Oh! That's a point I need to make. I'm going to be at MidSouth Con this year. Yes, I realize that it's mostly sci-fi, but consider that I can't drive, have little money, and am a member of my college's anime club, and it all seems so reasonable. So, anyone else going? ^_^ I'll be able to get back to you later on who I'm cosplaying as, it just depends on when I get an answer of who they still need for their Naruto skit they were planning... I actually think I could go as a decent Tenten... Just have to straighten/darken my hair and that's pretty well it. But I'm pretty sure I'm going as that one day, and if my friend Noura gets to go, we were going to do a Weiss cosplay one day. A little crimp to my Cagalli wig and I could do a decent Yohji... And she's a major Aya fan, so she wanted to go as him. So, yeah. ^_^ Can you tell I'm excited over my first con?
