Ar, rest me in the name of the law...

So yes, as soon as I got back from Sweden and caught up with my parents and dister I went to sleep and everything went downhill from there ^_^;

Well, not downhill as such, but I've had no time to do anything computer-related at all since I got back. And I'm needed for extra rehearsals on Friday evening to start this stupid Gilgamesh fight and I really need to research something to do with it so it looks like I haven't just been sitting on my arse all this time. I'm sorry if I worried anyone by being quiet, heh ^_^;

It's not even as if I have time tonight either- I'm meeting up with people from last year's course for a drink or two at seven, so I have about two hours to eat, shower and find something that could help me create something good for the fight. Ugh.

I see lots of things have been happening here lately. I would have read everything but my eyes are starting to lose focus. It may just be the screen itself but it doesn't feel right. Perhaps I should wear my glasses more, heh.

And then I can show you my 'spohisticated hunkiness' ^_~

Take care, everyone. See you soon for a real update!

Eee ^_^

As I said above, I want Azure's babies, because he is incredibly cool.

I also want Justin (jblessing)'s babies because he fixed my introduction for me and made everything happy again ^_____^ He rocks, unequivocally.

I'd write a more coherent update but at the moment I'm really quite nervous. I didn't sleep much last night as I kept thinking of the journey back home. It's 24 hours later, and the plan flight home's that much nearer now.

It's times like these I quite wish I had tranquilisers, heh.

Happy Nar-ew-to Year!

*is promptly slain by every Naruto fan ever*

Anyway, I hope everyone had a good time celebrating the New Year 2005, hehe. I'll have to remember we're in that glorious year of Star Wars Episode III now.

Mimmi and I have been busy working our way through the Naruto series. I think we got to the end of Episode 40, and she has well over a hundred here... wowies.

I was impressed from the very first episode- it's rare for a first episode of any series to really emotionally reach me in such a way but it did extremely well. I wasn't in tears, but I was absolutely gripped by the action. And generally it kept it up throughout what I've seen so far. My only complaint is that things seem to move really rather slowly in almost the same way the Yu-Gi-Oh does *awaits death by Azure*. I mean, thay're almost exactly the same in terms of the structure of the battles, although Naruto's are far more realistic and... well, better, cause of the ninjas and all.

I don't suppose I'm actually going to be able to find out what I want to about the characters in the day and a bit I have left here; I don't think we'll be watching it all day tomorrow and even if we did we wouldn't get anywhere near 100. I refuse to download it, though, so I will wait for as long as I have to to get a decent English or Japanese subtitled version.

The food here is very nice, by the way. Everyone should try it, hehe.

See you soon. Take care, everyone who I've not been able to see.

*hugs*

It's the old people's home all over again!

What I said when Mimmi was trying to squeeze apple juice into a glass...

Anyway, yesterday was very very good, in terms of shopping and funnness ^__________^ So regardless of what the lady of the house says she is a great host and it's been great for me to completely get away and be able to do things as and when I want to rather than have to stick to a schedule that doesn't fit in with my body. Granted, my sleep cycles still aren't back to what they used to be but I can work on that when I get back home.

But! The shoppingsnessies!

Mimmi took me to two fantastic shops yesterday: this huge Goth store called SHOCK, selling any and all numbers of pendants, belts, armbands, leather... accessories, jackets, big trousers with lots of chaoins on them that you could care to mention. Even though I've said I wouldn't ever wear trousers as baggy as the ones they had there, some were incredibly nice. I procured two pendants from there: A massive sword one and a nice red, gold and silver symbolic one. I can't remember what the celtic runes read.

The second shop was... Oh, I could so easily have bought everything in the store. And I probably would have done, if Mimmi hadn't been there.

The thing I hate about UK anime DVD shops is that they aren't legally allowed to sell imported DVDs because they've not been given an official rating by the BBFC, stuffy bastard trading laws *kills them repeatedly*. But here, they had everything, pretty much. Except Ruin Explorers, which I've been sort of looking for in a while, but it was no matter. For instead I bought the first 27 episodes of Rurouni Kenshin in that really cool boxed set thing ^_______^ They had the other two as well, but I didn't want to overstretch myself. And since I've not seen the series before I don't really know whether it's worth me spending all that money on. I'm sure it is, but meh.

And manga! Oh, so much manga! Thinking back, I should have bought at least the first few Chobits ones, but I didn't manage to get my mind together enough to choose which I wanted. I almost went for Tsubasa, but a lot of the other ones I wanted were missing the first volume. Actually, almost all of them were. Obviously people had bought the first volume without intending on buying the rest. Do they know how awkward and inconsiderate that is?! I could have walked out with all 16 volumes of X, but no, because the first one was missing the store lost out on a huge sale. I hope they're happy *glares*

Then we saw The Incredibles. It was at least as good seeing it a second time round. It is a fantastic film.

We came back and ate, nice nice food ^_^ Then Swedish Scrabble and bed.

Shout-Backs
(The ones I missed)

Panda: Never you fear, Mistress Panda! I have many pictures of the whole process, both mine and hers ^_~

Mitch: I miss you too, heh. I must confess that I've been pretty bad with looking at a lot of people's sites and unfortunately I don't get to check yours as often as I should. But that's something easily rectified, heh.

Lunai: Heh, I wouldn't dream of it ^_^; Be sure to get well soon, though.

Toodlies! I are do be teh Naruto watching later...

Shout of Outs.

Post Number the First.
I would bolden everyone's names, but with this keyboard it really does prove too much hassle for me.

anatema: It is, yeah ^_^

Heaven's Charlie: Yerp, I have been taking pictures. Most so far have been involved with bun production, though. I will take more tomorrow, heh.

Aleia: Oh, you know it'll be clean ^_~

Arcadi-MegMeg: You've not seen it yet?! Cripes o_o; You must, immediately!

Azure the Wolf: It is QWERTY, but aside from the letters the rest of the symbols (%&/ etc) are on entirely different keys. Having to look at the keys only to find they've become what they were before I knew what they'd changed to makes things difficult. I fixed it in the end though, kind of ^_^;

Pandaness!: We will ^_^

Post-First: The Second

JJRiddliesness: What else were you expecting, eh? ^_~

Shin the Maru: Oh yes. Many bun pictures.

Hevn: It is indeed the highest priviledge, heh. And they aren't bad buns, either. Well, Mimmi's weren't...

Arcadiya: Indeed, heh. I was actually surprised with how much I enjoyed The Emperor's New Groove. From the trailers I'd seen when it first came out I thought it was crap, but after Dan's recommendation it was tooked out and muchlies goods occurred ^___^

I will edit if I see more comments after I are teh finishied.

*hugs to Alex, Aleia and Sara, cause they're cool*

No Touchy! [EDITED]

The Emperor's New Groove is really cool ^_^

Mimmi and I are currently halfway through our hot, mad, passionate...

...bun-making session, although we need another 25 minutes or so until the dough'll be ready to put out. I've been taking photos all the way through, heh, cause it's interesting stuff.

I will update later with more detail once the results have been... resulted O_o;

EDIT: Well, the buns are finished, and truely I can't hold a candle to Mimmi's bun-making abilities.

It started with the mixing of the ingredients, and Mimmi asked me to put the yeast into the mixing bowl... unfortunately it was in a block that smelt rather like plasticine, no the powdery stuff I'm used to handling. She said I should crush it, and me thinking it was fairly solid, squeezed with reasonable force...

It exploded. Everywhere. Including my right eye >.> Still, no harm done. I just hope my eye will still be the same size tomorrow morning and I won't be walking around like this: o_O

Once the ingredients had been ingrediented into the dough and left for a bit to prove (what I don't know), we returned go give it a going over with the rolling pin.

And then we kneaded the dough ^_~

It was split into two halves: Mimmi took one and I took the other; after having watched her I tried my hand at doing everything- laying it out straight to the right width (which I did, sort of), spreading it with butter (whereby I managed to rip it), sprinkle it with sugar and cinnamon (Huzzah, that went okay), the roll it up.

When I get home I can put the pictures up, but there's a fair difference in the state of them all, not that you can tell that much from the photos. But mine often ended up huge, with two or three 'lumps' or caved in. Still, it's the first time I've done anything like that, and Mimmi said they were good so I'll have to take her word for it, heh.

After much silliness at the table involving bun jokes with her younger sister, we are now here. Or, more specifically, I'm here and Mimmi's *points* over there. Yepyep.

See you all later, heh.

*hugs squishily*

Heh, I was tempted to say the first part of that as soon as I arrived in Sweden, but there really weren't that many people about. Just thinking it over in my head it sounded rather decent with the appendix ^_^

Today's been a pretty inactive day, if you look at it in terms of actually going anywhere. But we've watched three films (The Last Samurai, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Aladdin respectively, but not all at once) and went for a walk into Vara's centre, whereby we bought a fair amount of food and I took some pictures of ice (bloody lethal stuff, I can tell you >.>) and really pretty buildings.

Mimmi's family is incredibly nice, and I feel right at home with the conversations that go on (well, the ones in English, anyway). The food's lovely, too ^_^ I highly recommend it as a guest house, hehe.

I woke up late this morning. Mimmi's blinds are so effective I could have sworn it was still seven am when it was in fact 10.52. But nothing much suffered as a result of my laziness, which was a refreshing change. Although I'll need to be more economic with sleep for Thursday, when we're planning to go into Goteborg and shop/see The Incredibles.

Agh, trying to get used to these keys has made me do something rather silly with the keys- I've changed it to a UK QWERTY one and I can't change it back. Um, I need Mimmi's help...

Vara, or not Vara...

But I think you already know the answer to that ^_~

Today's journey was pretty tiring. I'm thankful that I didn't have to leave any earlier than I did, else I'd be even more exhausted now (and no jokes, you dirty people *eyes Alex specifically*). But anyway, the train journey up wasn't anything special, just a little cramped every so often. And there was this guy sat behind me who kept humming incessently, which was incredibly annoying to have to sit through while trying to concentrate on 'Forever Love'.

Still, that aside, I started making my way towards Stansted Airport where I was (almost) ready to take on my first plane journey all on my lonesome.

As soon as I got off the train I was greeted by 'Smoke-Like-A-Chimney' man, who stank. I was then pushed in front of by 'Mrs Inconsiderate' while 'Noisy-Bugger-baby' wailed its way past. Things were getting a bit tense. Thank God for Cheese and bacon baguettes ^_^

I was incredibly nervous- usually I have someone else with me to downplay my nerves onto, but this time I just had my own mind festering within itself to think of nasty plane-related paranoia. But actually, once I was on the plane things calmed down and I was okay. I'd forgotten I was taking off at night, so being able to see where I was going didn't matter. Heck, after a while I forgot I was going anywhere, except when the plane lurched one way or the other.

I got very bored. I did mean to get MegaTokyo out, but by the time I could get to me bag we were due to come in to land anyway. Volume 1 saw me through waiting at Stansted, though ^_^ I owe Phill Gallagher.

Sweden is a lovely place, even in the dark. It actually reminds me a lot of how I expected America to be - certainly in this part there are lots of snow-covered wide open spaces with big barn-esque structures scattered about the place. It's nice, especially with a dusting of snow ^_^ No pictures as yet, but I hope to take some tomorrow.

Sleep well *hugs*

w00t w00t w00t!

Quote= l33t Santa. Or should I say, 54NT4?

*coughs* Anyway, today was pretty good. The highlights for me were watching Love Actually and seeing my sister's reaction at the present's I'd found for her. She was (and still is) very happy.

As for me; when the presents were given out I felt incredibly out of touch, probably as a result of disturbed sleep from text messages coming in from 2:30 onwards... and I always feel relatively brain-dead after having been glued to a PC game for X amount time. It's the same with anything, but I can't say it's helped my mentality much, heh.

Ah well. My big getaway from everything's coming up soon and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll still be about to post, just elsewhere. If that makes sense.

Oh, presents ^_^;

I got:
-Megatokyo mangas Volumes 1 and 2
-Trigun Maximum manga Vol 3
-Generatow Gawl complete DVD set
-Transformers Energon Perceptor
-Spending money
-A nice neckchain from my sister ^_^
-A £20 gift voucher from HMV, whereby I can buy DVDs, games and CDnesses.

The chain and voucher were the only things I didn't know about, and they were cool. Somehow I didn't have my feeling of anticipatin that I normally do. But bah, the rest of the day went all right. I'll be sure to get plenty of sleep tonight to try and right myself further.

EDIT: Ah, I forgot the comments ^_^;

Arcadia: Merry Christmas to you too! I'd have to say that this season Ive been mostly irate, but that's more due to the stress of college than anything else, and the fact that I left Christmas shopping too late... certain things just haven't been going right and when you're under prssure it really does dampen things down. But regardless of that I always enjoy getting presents for people I care about, heh.

Syk the Greg: Tell me about it >.>; I doubt you could even call what we've been experiencing as 'time'. It's more like... 'uber-time', or something.

I would go on further about the religious meaning of Christmas and how it used to be the Pagan Saturnalia festival, but I really don't know that much and I'm rather tired ^_^;

rustym: Merry Christmas ^__^ Um... I can't remember how excited about it I was last year. I guess this ear there's been so much stress and lack of relaxing that I've just been seeing it as another thing to have to sit through rather than a time to really enjoy things around me. But hopefully that'll change soon.

Maybe it's just me not wanting to change as a person, but there should be some special feeling about gatherings such as this where so many people everywhere gather to celebrate it, even if it is incredibly commercial. We've been losing more and more 'traditional' Christmas things every year, though. I'd love to have a roast again...

Shinmaroo: I've never been that religious myself... but that's another debate, heh. Generally, my mum'll do her shopping in October time and if she sees anything extra she buys that too. If she gets too much then we re-distribute them to relatives and it saves a lot of time and hassle, heh ^_^;

One thing I can't stand about Christmas is the way people try and force you to buy things... and as if you hadn't bought enough, the bloody sales start on Boxing Day! Geez... It's far too in-your-face for me.

Karmi: I hope your flight goes/went okay, heh. I can't say that's how I'd want to spend my Christmas, even if I had had two previously ^_^;

I hope everyone else's days went okay. Love and hugs to you all ^_^

And I wish It Could be Christmas...

...some other time.

I don't dislike Christmas- it's just everything around and about it. I'd much rather everyone had their own individual Christmasses to buy everyone else presents so you get things throughout the year and you never seem to get everyone rushing about to get everything at once. I think it's much more benevolent.

Anyway, it really doesn't feel like Christmas here. It's probably because I've been too busy to take in any of the hype apart from those annoying Christmas adverts that have been going on since October and really... I don't think I've actually asked for any specific presents this year, and nor am I expecting to get any other than those I bought for myself. So it's... much less than usual. I guess once I'm swimming in wrapping paper tomorrow morning it'll feel a little more like Christmas, but it somewhat lacks the festive feeling that it has previously. I guess I'm growing past it, heh.

I'm still not sure I feel right after all this college stress and tiredness. I've a good few days off starting from December 27th, but as soon as I get back I'm straight into intensive Wind in the Willows rehearsals... and that height of activity will probably be maintained until the Easter Holidays, in which time I should (if Dan can get off his arse) be involved with this Samurai thingy. But as it's going... that seems to be falling ever so quickly by the wayside, as is Star Wars.

Christmas Comments of Celebration

Greg: Of course I remember ^___^

And yes, I hate it when people don't use spoilers. I've given up with Wolf's Rain already even though I've not seen it yet. I just hope nobody goes and spoils Fruits Basket for me...

Shinmaru: *nods in agreement* The space combat bits remind me lots of Outlaw Star, which is a very good feeling ^_^ It's actually given me inspiration for an RPG...

Arcadia: I'm not sure I'm as struck on Yoko Kanno's music as I should be. There were only a few RahXephon tracks that I liked, and although CB has some really catchy tunes in it, it's something I'd need to grow to like.

anatema: Hehe, tiredness can be more fun- if nothing else, you don't get a hangover afterwards ^_~

HeartOfSword: You might have done, but thank you ^_^

Karmi: The numberplate game is thus: on British numberplates you get a combination of seven letters and/or numbers, and the last three are usually always a series of three letters, like NRG or something like that. As we drive along and see one, we try and come up with words to fit the three letters, such as Nice Roasted Gonads or something equally silly. It's better than I-Spy any day, heh ^_^

Monkey Orange: Probably not, but if that is the case I hope never to be stranded in any US shopping malls near Christmas...

Merry Christmas, everyone ^_^ Or to those who don't celebrate it, I wish you all the best anyway. Have fun!
