Day of Rest

I didnt go to Petworth House today. I woke up at about 3:50am, having suffered a rather disturbing nightmare that left me in a less than comfortable feeling. I guess that should have been my first clue that something wasn't right. I didn't really want to go anyway, but I was gearing myself up for it. The problem was, I didn't get back to sleep until something past five, and my alarm was set for 6:05. So when it went off, I crawled over to my clock and silenced it, before attempting to pull on my Mediaeval outfit. It was a real struggle- my hands weren't doing what they were told and I felt incredibly dizzy. I told Mum, who said that if I felt like this now, going for an hour long car journey and standing about in black for three hours wasn't going to do me any good. I went back to sleep, feeling a little stupid for not being able to help. Yes, it's the first reenactment event I've had off in well over 18 months, but I feel bad that I'm not helping as much as I could be. Mum thinks I've been overworking myself and that I'm suffering from exhaustion. She's probably right, but I still want to be able to do the things I've committed myself to. I don't know whether I'll be going tomorrow. I'll rest as much as possible, but it's looking doubtful. I wish I could make myself physically stronger. Well, I know I can, but it takes time. But if I do any kind of exercises now, the chances are I'd keel over. Ah well. Grarr, I hate feeling sorry for myself >_<; It's badbadbad. Severely. And I don't even have a problem. I'm just a little unwell. I have some writing I can do, so it's not like I'm completely incapacitated anyway.

Day of Pain

But oddly enough, none of it's been mine. So far. My little sister tripped and hit the side of her head on a china flowerpot and my older sister was stung by a wasp. The hatred I hold for wasps has now deepened, despite the fact that I have a large cuddly one in my bedroom. But he's a toy. And cute ^_^ The bastards are absolutely everywhere this year, and I have no compunction about killing them, as I did so with the electrified fly-swatting thing I used a few minutes ago. I really hate them. And the annoying thing is that I still flinch whenever they're flying about nearby, although I stay bloody still when one lands on me. That happened a few years ago in Psychology. I just didn't move and it flew off. Everyone else looked like they were fighting off the Invisible Man. But I still don't like them. They're probably the thing I dislike most about summer, besides the baking heat.

My uncle and aunt ^_^ They're really cool, heh. We went out for a pub lunch at this really quite posh place. I don't usually have dessert, but I decided to indulge myself today. I had a hot chocolate fondant thingy with a strange marscapone raspberry mess thingy on the side. Since I didn't like the raspberry thing or the fruit it came with, I made into a little monster with eyes ^_^. When the waitress came to pick up our empty plates she took it to show the chefs, who were most impressed, hehe. I called it 'Monster-pone', and I have a picture of it on my phone. Sizzle... I am incredibly hot. I'm not looking forward to this weekend, because it's going to be at least this hot whilst we flop about in our armour. I hope the arena will at least be in the shade, otherwise we'll all be as sick as we were on Sunday, and that wouldn't be nice. Hmm... I can't think of anything else to say o_o; Must be the heat.

Being Blunt

I'm exhausted. My hands ache. My shoulders have big bruises on them. The little finger on my left hand has three small blood blisters on it due to being hit with a sword. *cries* I have to do two days of combat at Petworth House next weekend. I don't wanna! My grandfather's down for the week. He doesn't like anime >.> He also doesn't like computers very much... My bedroom is a tip. It's also sodding hot. I need another shower, even though I only had one yesterday... I feel like I've been a bastard to some people (and you wouldn't be able to tell from here). On the Plus Side... I can finally make international calls on my mobile ^_^ And I'm getting quite a bit of money in at the moment from various different places, which is very nice. My grandfather will finally be able to see me fight (or attempt to fight in plate armour and summer sun). That's one thing I've wanted to show him for a long time. My sister's redesigning Aidan (from Dark Conflict) for me ^______^ The kids in the workshop thought our unarmed stage-fighting was very realistic. They thought I was actually being hurt, heh. Dan is so cool. If I could marry him, I would. I think I've finished the admin garbage for ASHS. Sorry to make you all wait so long. That's about it. I want to go to bed now.

I can't think of a title for this one o_o;

Hmm. I guess that's because it's a bit disjointed. I'm off to Dan's for the night fairly soon. We're running two days of stage fighting workshops, and we need some time to practice what we want to do. My back/legs/arms are killing me right now... ...and that wasn't helped by the fact that driving lessons always make me ache more. And almost straight after that I had to be driven down to Portsmouth to sit down and take my Driving Theory Test. I passed, with flying colours ^_^ At least, that's what I was seeing when I left the exam room, heh. I managed to keep my emotions ambiguous when I returned to mum's car. She had no idea whether I'd passed or not ^_^; I didn't do it to be mean- I wanted to see if I could act well enough to cover up my smugness. Mmm, yes. I smell of me. I guess I probably do all the time, but I forgot to have a shower yesterday, and it gets very hot at night. Not to mention I've been out and about all day. So I am in desperate need of a shower. All this, and I need to sort out Anime Stereotype High School's character accomodation, heh. Great stuff ^_^ See you soon, my lovelies.

Heat Stroke

Plate Armour and 25 degree Celcius temperatures do not mix. I've never felt so ill whilst reenacting in all my life, heh. That must have been the hottest it's ever been during one of Raven Tor's events. but thankfully I don't have another one tomorrow. Saturday, though... I have no real injuries as such this time, save for a troubled back, aching bruised shoulders and slightly-strained abdominal muscles. One guy had half of one of his front teeth completely shipped off o_o;. I'm glad I wear a bevor (neck/chin guard). Back to School Anime Stereotype High School sign-ups are closed. I shall begin working on the timetable tomorrow and hopefully have it up by the end of the week. I do have two days of stage-fighting workshops and my grandfather down to visit, though, so please bear with me ^_^; I'm really looking forward to it. I'm determined not to let it die, heh. I always have a backup plan... And Finally... And I have my Driving Theory test tomorrow. Wish me luck! ^_^

The Bluebird of Happiness

With the arrival of RahXephon Volume 5 at my house today, my little sister and I saw it only right to watch the last three DVDs in a quasi-marathon. And it's one of the most beautiful animes I've ever seen. Perhaps not as artistic as some (like Evangelion), but I loved every minute of it, and the ending was... heh, I won't ruin it. But people who know what I like in endings will know why I liked it ^_~ I've not read through the entire discussion in the RahXephon thread at OB, once I have I'm sure I'll be able to discuss more, heh. I was very good myself, actually- I read no spoilers whatsoever. I was really pleased with myself that I didn't. I probably would have missed out on all the suspense if I had, heh. And with that, I shall be ending the sign-ups for the Anime Stereotype High School first thing tomorrow morning. I'd actually forgotten that today was the 31st- I thought it was Friday ^_^; But to allow for timezones' difference I'll post the final cast tomorrow, before heading off to Arundel. It's getting hot in here... ...but my clothes are staying firmly on, thankyouverymuch. Until I have a shower, that is ^_~

Tired...

There really isn't much to say. I don't have the energy to explain everything now, but I am in desperate need of rest. Let's just say Chichester is a scary place at 1:45 in the morning, and also at 9:00 am during rush hour. I did get home to sleep, for about two and a half hours, but it's not enough... Pity it's not evening now- I could just crawl into bed, heh ^_^; Still, I'm looking forward to it. I don't often look forward to sleeping (not that I don't like it), but today I really really am.

I have not much to say...

...but I will say it anyway ^_^ My MyO rank's slowly been dropping, but I don't mind nearly as much as I did when I first started the site up. Meh, it just seems silly. I'd be tempted, were the option available, just to hide that display table and just look at it every now and again for curiosity's sake. Like I do with post counts on OB. Ah, RahXephon... I love my sister. She bought me, completely unexpectedly, the sixth volume of RahXephon ^______^ That made me so happy, heh. I was worried I'd never be able to see it, what with Amazon being stupid over the dispatching of my Vol5 order and with me saving up for AE2K5. It was really nice, heh. Anime Stereotype High Blood Pressure Trying to make decisions about who's in and who's out is proving incredibly difficult, and there are still two days left until the sign-ups close o_o; I've written lists and drawn tables and crossed out names and searched through every recruit's posts and thought and tossed and turned and blew away a bloody great big spider that decided to crawl on my keyboard just now. Frightened me to death, that did o_o; If anyone else writes a decent sign-up, I love you, but I also hate you ^_^; In all seriousness, please do sign up if you still want to. The admin's more than worth putting up with, hehe. Driven by Me! My instructor thinks I'll definitely be ready for the mock driving test next week. It's a scary thought, but I'm not too worried. I'm far more confident about driving now than I was a few weeks ago- even at the beginning of this week. I can pull out at roundabouts without worrying (too much) any more, greater control, observation and all the rest. My legs really hurt from all that clutch and acceleratoring, though. I'm looking forward to some days off... Oh, I forgot. I don't have any. Re-enactment season starts again this weekend, bastardness. More injuries and tirednessness for me, then! I'm good, but sleepy. My older sister's Master and Commander DVD arrived today, and we're going to watch it tomorrow. Should be good fun. But for now, I sleep. See you later ^_^
