Ideal Worlds
This is from something posted by Bandit Joeykuba, on her MyOtaku.
What If you could control life? What if you could have your dreams really come true? What kind of life would you want? Action? Adventure? Romantic? Or something else? Would you get rid of your enemies? Would you want your life to be like a movie; perfect? Would you even want to change your life?
If I could control life, I'd certainly do my damndest to get rid of those who are unreasonably unfair for no reason, or whose ridiculous dogmas and self-driven ideals for power ot money or whetever get their lesson or are just removed for the sake of everyone else's sanctity. This sounds stupidly like it's come out of a Justice League episode, but my sister had her bank book stolen from her today and you've no idea how much it pisses me off every time something happens to her just because of someone else's selfish need for superiority.
If I could have my dreams really come true, everything would be chaos ^_^; I have about three scenarios I'd like to be real (and no-one knows all three), the first being rather too idyllic to be realistic- having the OB community on its own island and having all these interesting places on it. I'd even gone so far as to try and explain away plot holes such as where food would come from. I'm allowed to dream ^_^
Another I guess would be just to have things a bit more like an action/adventure film or series without huge amounts of modern guns. They really take the fun out of everything. Then, that would have its problems- you can't always be guaranteed to win in some of those scenarios unless you had huge amounts of power at your disposal. Which I guess I could throw in there anyway...
I just get so bored with a normal life at times. Even doing something interesting like being in a film seems to take away the edge to it all- ultimately you're only pretending to be somewhere else. It's all fake. It can make for a fantastic adventure to watch and you can really lose yourself in it.
That's the main reason I want to be an actor, and do at least some anime at some point, heh. I shall indeed try.
In the end, would I like to change my life? Not really. Anything else would lose bits of what I already have. I guess I'd just like to alter bits of it, the superficial things that don't really matter. Like the way we look, or having cars transform into huge robots.
Yup ^_^ |

*updates*
Guess which computer I'm on now, hehe ^_^
Well, there's really not that much to say. I've been at home mostly, replying to things that have needed replying to and doing things which need to be done. Apart from the RPGs. I've not had the time for them yet, mostly because whenever I get to have a good sit down to post, Dad needs the computer line I use. Damn, this is getting frustrating now... I hate coinciding with his work, even though his might be more important and yadda yadda yadda...
*sigh* I should just learn to lump it, I guess.
One good thing- I do get to be the Gryphon for both casts. it turns out the person who wasn't cast isn't actually going to be cast anywhere, because he's only doing three of the nine modules of the course. Sucks boo to you, misser!
Nah, he's alright. But I get the costume, so nyerr! ^_____^

Random OB stuff
Right, I've not talked about a huge amount of online stuff recently, and there are a few things I've been meaning to mention for some while. Not revelational, just oddments.
I see James has overtaken LazeChibi as rank number one in MyOtaku sites. Before seeing the Memberlist, I knew that James, Queen Asuka, Sara, Shy and Semjaza would ahead of me. And indeed they are, and probably very deservedly, too. My 620-odd visits still pales in comparison to the 1000-plus that both James and LazeChibi have, though ^_^; Not that I'm bothered about popularity- I use this site because it's convenient. I'd only use my blog otherwise.
*steals from Circeus' signatue*
Yes, more stealing. I think this deserves a quote, though. I love it too much.
Lieutenant: Captain, what are you holding in your hand?
Captain: A pin
Lieutenant: No, the other hand.
Captain: A grenade
Lieutenant: And what's wrong with that?
Captain: Oh my god! I'm gonna explode! There's gonna be captain juice everywhere!
It always makes me laugh, along with maladjusted's banner. That is unbelieveably funny.
An odd mix
[Rather like this post, heh] The Yu-Gi-Oh forum seems to be filled with either very high-quality Newbies (e.g. Kakashi, Snodin), and some who are... rather the opposite. So long as the worse ones improve I don't mind, heh.
Bleh, there's actually less there than I thought. Sorry for the disjointedness of that, heh. I'll try and think of better things to evaluate my points on next time ^_^;
Oh, one thing- I got to talk to James, Shy and Ben tonight, which was nice. I started missing them as soon as they left, though... And MSN isn't working for me again. Damn that thing. It's probably just a ploy to get me to update to Version 8 or whatever it is.
I have precious little time on this computer as it is- when I'm downloading something I'm more or less committed to reading something very long on one site. At 28.8K a second or whatever the hell this modem is, an update about four megabytes large can take up to an hour to get, as it did with RealOne Player. Guess I have a long evening ahead... |

Barry-tone.
If someone were following me around with a microphone today, people would get very scared if the recordings were played.
In preparation for the Post 1985 Acting Assessment next week, I've been practicing throwing my voice around the house, for which I'd stand in my room, open my throat as if yawning and then holler to Mum, in the kitchen frying things. And if she could hear me, she'd shout back. I'm getting pretty loud ^_^
We also followed Jeremy into the men's toilets and had a very innuendous conversation by the sinks. It sounds really bizarre, but it was really funny. I'm really enjoying the course here. the people are great. This afternoon, although we were going to see Finding Nemo Jeremy (he's absolutely huge, by the way) and I went bowling, and ate far too many bacon crisp things called Snax. They're not as addictive as Pringles, but still very nice.
Character Analysis
Okay, I think the Gryphon would be better with a West Country accent now (like Hagrid form the Harry Potter films, for those who is not so English-dialectally inclined, heh), because it's less harsh and makes him seem... warmer. I think it's also nicer to hear and speak, personally. He's not exactly a harsh character anyway, heh.
Exclusion
NOTE: No big deal.
I'd wanted to start an OB story/RPG for a long long time, but never got round to refining the storyline. Seeing all the OB greats post in Year of the Otaku really makes me see what I've missed in terms of getting to know everyone, mostly the oldies. I don't mind, though ^_^ It's Jenna's to say who she wanted in it.
And I wasn't allowed in Eternal Otaku's either, heh. Never mind. I'm sure there'll be more. There seems to be a growing trend in these, so one's bound to pop up sooner or later. And I still have that OB fanfic to write that I told Kei about, hehe ^_~
It was a pity the OB prom RPG didn't go very well. That could have been great if it'd had the right administration to it.
In the meantime I have a Tenchi Universe RPG to create, along with WHATE (still fantastic) and Digimon: The New Emperor to reply to ^_^
Which is enough, heh. |

More Lyrics
Lyrics from one of my favourite songs here. Well, translated lyrics. It's a pity I can't understand the Zoids ones yet. Once I eventually download wrist cutter's things I'll spend a few hours looking at them all ^_^;
Infinity (from Lost Universe)- Hayashibara Megumi
Making a wish on a twinkling falling star
Thrice you murmured childhood memories
If, with cold eyes, you say "it's just a fairy tale" and give up,
you'll never in your life grab a hold of that wish.
Get back
The wish from that day, that still rests deep in your heart...
Once more, release it into the skies!
Before the path where you once walked
aimlessly, recklessly, and emptily,
a clear sign surfaces to guide you,
in your heart alone.
At the other end of this world lies eternity.
The repeating legend...
Let's overcome it, Let's change it.
Do your best for your sake anytime.
Betting your destiny on the flip of a coin
Cutting off any doubts... that wouldn't be so bad either.
An unseen coincidence. A definite inevitibility.
Nobody's got a knack for living.
Get lost
Sometimes one gets swept away
by the rush of time, and loses his heart, but...
No need to regret something that hasn't happened yet
Before the path where you once walked forward,
a new way is made,
and you alone can see it.
Acknowledge defeat gallantly,
in order to win tomorrow.
Let's go on, no matter whether you look bad or good.
You can have your way in everything.
Before the path where you once walked
aimlessly, recklessly, and emptily,
a clear sign surfaces to guide you,
in your heart alone.
At the other end of this world lies eternity.
The repeating legend...
Let's overcome it, Let's change it.
Do your best for your sake anytime.
No need to regret something that hasn't happened yet
Before the path where you once walked forward,
a new way is made,
and you alone can see it.
Acknowledge defeat gallantly,
in order to win tomorrow.
Let's go on, no matter whether you look bad or good.
You can have your way in everything
I like that song even more now I know what it means. |

Hmm...
There are two things that I can never seem to do for whatever reason, and those things are:
-Write my fanfic
-Talk to people on AIM (specifically Sara, Shy, Rae and Ashy and Mo).
Writing a fanfic isn't so bad- I have a fairly long time to do that. It's just I always try and set myself a target for it and I can never meet it. I want Chapter 6 finished by next week. If I could sit and write solidly for an hour or two I could do it, but today I was distracted by an episode of Spongebob that had a ten-second sequence in it that I'd wanted to see since the last time it aired.
Talking to people's more personal, heh. Either I can't get online or people are away, I'm too tired to be able to type properly or people are away doing something. Either way, it don't happen.
Although I did get to see Rae the other day, and Sara briefly too ^_^ Rae went to see the Siberian Cossacks at the Imperial Theatre today. I hope she had a good time there.
Random Trivial Trivia
-You can tell which computer I'm on by the lack of borders on my posts. This isn't my personal one- I have the HTML saved in a Word document for me to access whenever I need to.
-I don't have The Matrix Reloaded or The Matrix on DVD or Video yet.
-I watched Atlantis: The Lost Empire today.
-I thought it was very mediochre.
-I am wearing a black shirt and dark blue jeans, with black woolen socks.
-My eyes are itchy with tiredness.
-I have a foam sword.
-Dan has my real sword.
-I want it back.
-The next CD I buy will be the Outlaw Star soundtrack.
-I like tomato soup with Double Gloucester and Red Leicester cheese.
-I had it for lunch today, at 2:30pm.
I think I'll get to bed now ^_^;

More Quizzes
The Dante's Inferno Test has sent you to Purgatory! Here is how you matched up against all the levels:
Take the Dante Inferno Hell Test
Well, that's quite nice to know.
You represent... hope.
You're quite a daydreamer and can be a hopeless romantic. You enjoy being creative and don't mind being alone at times. You have goals, and know what you want in life... even if they are a little far fetched.
What feeling do you represent? brought to you by Quizilla
My CD arrived today ^_^ I now have the Lost Universe, Slayers and Lost Universe themes to listen to whenever I like. Although Infinity is on the second CD away from the others... go figure.
I don't want to hunt for any more quizzes at the moment ^_^; I'm tired. |

Edit to last post
(seeing as I can't modify them at the moment, eh).
Well... perhaps Dad's methods aren't as unreasonable as I think them to be. I mean, he does do a heck of a lot of work and is under unbelieveable amounts of pressure. The fact that it gets in the way of what I want to do is what annoys me, and the thing is it's usually when I have something which I find very important to have to do. And he doesn't understand that what I do online really does matter to me. He thinks it's games.
But I could be giving him some leeway too, I guess. It's just hard when he doesn't realise the effect his words have on you. |
