Forget the War, don't mention the food >_<;
Yes, don't mention food. I am feeling rather sick after having eatan for too bloody much yesterday and today. I was very ill last night, to the point where I was dry wretching ver the toilet bowl. No expulsion, but I bet it was the Macaroni and Cheese at Arundel Castle that did it. needless to say, I'm bringing my own packed lunch tomorrow. Mind you, being in temperatures of less than 10 Celcius all day probably didn't help, but I'm determined to stay well until at least next Sunday.

Aside form that, I'm pretty darn good. And the reason for that is:

I will be on TV next year, heh.

I would have told more people had I remembered and had the chance (I think Shy was the only person I got round to telling beforehand ^_^;), but it's for a 'grottiest jobs in history' style programme for Channel 4, being presented by Tony Robinson. He's a very nice person, actually. Quiet, friendly- a [very welcome] far cry from some idiot like Russel Crowe. I didn't get to talk to him much personally, but he did smile at me a few times, and I smiled back. He also leant over me while doing a bit of narration ^_^ I was cleaning Chris' filthy armour at the time. My thumbs were throbbing with pain afterwards.

We started at 7:30 (although I got up about an hour and a half before that), when the temperature outside was a positively deadly -1 degrees Celcius. After painfully setting up the camp and getting changed into scum-gear, we had to be dirtied up. I looked was absolutely flithy. I had soot wiped all over my face and mud rubbed over my costume, to the point where I looked like I had chronic dysentry. Nice and authentic, then... not that I actually have dysentry, mind.

First off, Paul was filmed as his armour was taken off him by Gavin. I was in the background sawing knocks into arrow shafts; you might get to see me in the background when it airs, hehe. Either that, or I'll be splitting feathers. The various different angles of those shots that had to be filmed ended up with me doing three different things, so I'll be watching closely for continuity arrors there ^_^.

The 'money shot' (as it were) took about 12 takes to get right, byt which I was running out of armour to clean. There should be a really decent shot of me close-up, though. I'll give people a shout-out when it's going to be aired. My first paid acting job! Eee! I can't say how much I was paid, but I'm grateful to be recieving any kind of financial help at the moment ^_^; So it was definately well-recieved.

Um... I can't think that much else has been happening at the moment. My grandfather Hugh is staying at the moment, and has rather awkwardly taken over the sitting-room, which means that time I would be spending with Dulcie is disrupted. Annoyingly I won't get to see her tomorrow as I leave so vloody early...

And I though half-term was going to be relaxing. I have one day off left now, and that's next Sunday. Wednesday and Thursday will be fun anyway, but they don't count as days off because I'm not at home, in my view. Not that I mind, though ^_^

Here's to sleep, then. I need it.

And paracetamol. I need that, too.
