SEX!!

*coughs* Now that I have your attention, I'm going to talk about... sex. It's taken me a long time to decide to put this post up. I guess I need to lose a few more inhibitions. If anyone's offended then I apologise in advance. I don't suppose there's much in there to actually drive people away, but if people think less of me as a result then I am sorry. Anyway, where to start... There was a kind of interesting thread about when's too young for sex, and... although I said fourteen was probably too young, it has to happen sometime. So long as you fully understand the consequences of what you're doing, you aren't being illegal and you feel that you and your partner are both ready for it, then it shouldn't matter. But jumping on top of them as soon as you get the urge doesn't constitute 'being ready'. That's just being horny. It... feels weird talking about sex. It almost (and probably quite rightly) feels like a taboo subject- I hardly see anyone (except Raiha, perhaps) talking about it. It is a very personal matter, though. What I'm getting at isn't the physics and mechanics of sex, but more stuff around it. So no sex tips from me, I'm afraid... that's for the practical demonstration, hehe ^_~ pr0n!!11! Sex + internet = porn. Nuff said. Actually, about 50% internet = porn anyway, even without the added sex. I've only ever seen one 'hardcore' porn video, and that was at a friend's house a while ago. We were bored, and I hadn't seen one before so we all agreed to have him put it on, heh. And far from arousing, it was one of the most laughably disgusting things I've ever seen. It wasn't even mildly erotic, not least because they had some of the ugliest 'beautiful' people I've ever seen performing. I can tell you, seeing stuff like that me right off the idea. I'd be happy staying celibate if I looked like that. But I don't, thankfully. And it's all exaggerated for the film to try and help it take root in the men's sexual fantasy psyche. And it's incredibly easy to tell that it's meant for men because the focus is on what they do and have done to them, rather than it being mutually pleasurable. Had it been more balanced and less... gratuitous, I might have enjoyed it more. But even so, some of the stuff they did was just vile. The women still wore inch-long fingernails, for pete's sake o_o; And why? Why sex, constantly? Is it really that integral to the plot to have every single character sleep with each other? Does it add to the depth and mystery of the storyline? Does it, bollocks. They just want to try and get into (excuse the pun) as many niches as they can. Lesbian stuff aparrently appeals more to men than the usual, but I honestly don't see anything more in it. Women's bodies are more attractive than men's any day and generally I gather it shows more co-operation between the two, but as it's still sex it still should follow the same principles of plain, old 'boring' sex. *Cues 'The Stripper' music* Sex should be consensual for it to work, not just striding into someone else's room, stripping off and expecting them to do something about it. I had a really good conversation about sex a while ago, actually. Someone was telling me about how it was one of the most beautiful experiences they'd ever had because it was with someone they loved and they both enjoyed it. And I'm sure it is a fantastic feeling of euphoria. But therein lies the key: love. Or at least enough love to have the deeper, more meaningful attraction there in the first place. That's what takes it apart from the empty gratuitous stuff. So, what about porn and hentai? I detest porn and I don't like hentai that much, but I disagree to pornography more simply because hentai isn't live-action. Women aren't actually making themselves or being made to have sex with whoever just for someone else to gawk at and some fat pimp man to make money. Hentai still depicts women (more often than men) as being sex objects and constantly has them in either non-consensual situations or situations where they're doing all the work, which I also object to. It's not as if you can include a footnote that says "By the way, these two are deeply in love and they both agreed to this" at the bottom of the picture so people know it's not just another random sexual fantasy. The ones I find more enjoyable are the sensual pictures, rather than the erotic ones. Both partners getting as much love and pleasure from the experience as each other, rather than one being given a service. The problem with things like these is that they often are just meant as masturbation material. Men see sex and don't think too much more of it, apart from the fact that someone (usually a man) is having a really great time somewhere. Even the ones starring just men seem to be aimed at men. They identify with the pleasure in the context of the situation rather than the characters in their own right. But with porn or hentai (certainly the pictures, anyway) there's often no deeper meaning behind it than that in the first place, just building around the element of sexual pleasure and adapting it for various tastes, which is why it's so shallow a lot of the time. But when it's in the context of an actual story and really, realistically adds to the plot, then it's good. And it's the same with a relationship, heh. If you're ready and willing to give each other what they want, it should be a great experience. EDIT: Oh, I forgot to talk about my own experiences ^_^; Well, I haven't had anything really sexual- a few kisses, none really intimate or heavy. Most have been as part of jokes, games or plays. But it's not as if I'm in a hurry or anything. I can wait, heh. *wonders if this post will boost MyO rankings...* EDIT 2: In fact, my ranking has dropped o_o; Whoops. -------------------------- Normal Update: Things are good, heh. I had another driving lesson in which I took a mock test and did... better in some areas, but not as well in others. 4 majors, 16 minors. But the majors were only really small ones that we can sort out any time, and the minors weren't too bad. I'm getting better ^_^ Aside from that I've been fairly tired and I knocked a lump on my head, causing it to bleed quite nastily. But it's nothing serious. It's surprising how much blood a tiny spot can produce, actually o_o; Now, to play on Age of Kings ^_^
