Welcome to Bruiseville! Population: Many.
I've had a good day, if a very very tiring one.

There were only four swordfighting members with us today- the rest were all doing something else. The musketeers and cannoneers were there all right, but they couldn't really skirmish properly.

Hm, I've just realised how dirty I am. I shall go and wash myself.

*does so*

I ache! I have so many bruises and my right arm feels like it's going to drop off ^_^; I's relatively good pain though, and reminiscent of a good day.

I still had to stand out the front for three hours, though, like I normally do. Paul lent me his cassock however, so I didn't get too cold. And many people wanted to take pictures and get into the castle and weren't allowed because they weren't open and didn't just read the bloody great big sign that explains in plain English that IT OPENS AT 11:00AM. Silly people >.> And no, I can't let you in if you say you have to go back to Exeter soon and will miss everything once you do. I don't even work at the castle, so it's not my decision. And you wouldn't see anything anyway, because the encampment isn't ready. Duh.

Derren said I needed some thigh-length boots, so I'll endeavour to get some at Coventry ^_^

The cannons and muskets seemed much louder than usual, even though the cannons were only half the size. I guess if the barrel's smaller but the same amount of charge is used, it comes out in a much more concentrated explosion. And I was closer to the muskets than last time. Ah well, my ears should survive... I hope o_o;

The rest of me might not, though ^_^; I have five large-ish bruises on my right arm where Derren kept hitting me, one on my knee where Derren hit me very hard and several on my left arm, probably from Derren. Oh, Andy got my wrist quite nicely too. That's swelling impressively.

I did hit back, though- I stabbed Derren and gave him quite a bad graize on his thigh. That was about it, though. Elsewhere, Derren hit Paul on his shin and drew blood (albeit a very small amount), and someone got Andy's finger, making it bleed a lot. I have lost no blood, but am bruised. And my right shoulder hurts a lot for having worn the baldrick on it all day and from all the swordfighting. I will have quite a powerful right arm at the end of all this, heh ^_^;

I did question briefly why I do these things, but then I remembered how much I enjoyed it. And really, the pain doesn't bother me. The only bruise I'm annoyed about is the one on my knee, because it affects how I walk. I normally walk fast, and get agitated if I can't because I like to get to where I need to as quickly as possible (when walking, anyway- driving I take as much time as I need).

I'm going to relax tonight, and I think I might have a bath. I'll wash either way, but a bath looks much more appealing than a shower right now.
