The Enemy of the Enemy is My Friend...
I have a sudden, desperate urge to take the surveys I saw in Pyro's blog, but Shin would slaughter me if I did >.>

I took my sister to see Aliens vs Predator today. We were worried that she might not be able to get in (seeing as she's only thirteen and the film's a fifteen), so we dressed her and gave her some make-up (well, I ddin't do that bit- that was Mum) to make her look a bit more mature. And it seemed to work- nobody asked any questions, heh. We were both pleased- I wanted her to see it and she wanted to see the Aliens (and the gore, bloodthirsty thing that she is).

It was enjoyable. I loved seeing Predators looking half-decent on film, although I was annoyed that my favourite one got killed so early. Mind you, it's an Aliens film- you aren't going to finish with more than three of the principal cast members in tact anyhow, so I shouldn't have expected as much. And seeing as my reputation tends to make me like characters who get killed, it's not really surprising >.>

But still, it looked great, although somehow lacked a lot of the cinematography that made Alien and Aliens so great to watch, and itdidn't keep me in great suspense. Most of the time I was just wanting to get to the next scene to look the Aliens/Predators. But the special effects and character designs were amazing. Lovely lovely lovely.

And they had a Predator with a swooshy cloak! Although he didn't have his mask on, so looked ugly >.> His ship was nice, though.

There were bits I was surprised by- I had no idea it was actually a prequel to the rest of the series until Paul told me on Saturday, so I was always trying to link it together. It's interesting though, and I think it leaves good scope for another film, which I would quite like to see, if only because I'm interested in the franchise in general ^_^

Before we got in to see the movie, my sister and I went shopping. When we went inot MVC I was quite surprised to see that Shrek 2 had been released a day earlier than first advertised. Even today, the adverts were still harping on about it being released tomorrow. Ah well. I have my copy and that's all I want, really ^_^

And it's great- really really great ^_________^ We wathed it during tea and couldn't stop. We even went through all the extras and bloopers. Much much fun. Although the Big Bad Wolf needs a much bigger part, I thought ^_~

We also picked up Shaun of the Dead and the Read or Die OVA. I'd heard good things about it, so was interested. Seeing as the majority of the UK anime releases I've either seen or aren't interested in, I think I need to broaden my horizons a bit. Here's hoping Ruin Explorers gets a release some time >.>

Bloody ADV UK. I really hate them.

My knee's been hurting much less than I expected today, which is good. My wrists and arms, on the other hand... and my back still doesn't feel right. Ah well. It's nothing incapacitating, and'll probably right itself within a day or so. Just need some sleep.

Ugh, college tomorrow. I have no script. I shall be in trouble...
