Insanity Benefits

Comments!

Menkoy Erango: Hehe, it's really cool ^_^ I've never seen anything quite like it before, and I'm really glad my sister's enjoying it, seeing as I cajoled her into paying for it... well, I am buying the whole R.O.D the TV series. Volumes 5-7 arrived yesterday, along with their lovely lovely box and an Anita figure. But...

I STILL DON'T HAVE VOLUME THREE! *cries*

Mestriss Rixoe: Squee! Conventions! ^________^ Unfortunately I don't watch the Japanese version- I actually think the voices in the dub are better -so I wouldn't know who they were, but I can imagine there were lots of excited people wanting to meet them. Well done to Lumi for the signatures, hehe.

*hugs* And thank you ^_^

To the one concerned: Thanks for clearing that up, heh ^_^; I feel silly for not being able to see what you meant first time round, so sorry about that.

That was actually one of the best weekends I've had in a long time, heh ^_^

I wanted to update yesterday, but I had to go and sort something incredibly important out and I hadn't got any photos. I do now, though ^_^

London's Calling...
It was very hot in London. And me, the twit that I am when it comes to wearing clothes that should not be worn in certain seasons, sweltered like a lemon in a basket of chillis. Or something.

I was really pleased to have gone with my friend Mike, though. Not only is he over six feet tall (making him a great vantage point and appearing as a Force Not To Be Reckoned With (TM)), but he knows his way around London really well.

Camden Market was simply packed, but a great place for anyone into any style of Gothic clothing. Seeing as I'm leaning more that way, there was so much that I was utterly spoilt for choice. Cyberdog was as tempting as ususal, even having a few lovely T-Shirts that I'd never seen before. As much as I wanted to get something from there, I'd set my herat on something else that wasn't going to come cheap, and I wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted.

After squeezing through Camden (my sister managed to buy a Nightmare Before Christmas bag that she'd been seeking for a while, we trudged towards Shaftesbury Avenue, and the irresistable pull of Forbidden Planet.

We stopped on the way at a Computer Exchange place, whereby I managed to pick up the first two Cowboy Bebop DVDs secondhand for £18 ^____________________^ They also had a Hellsing Collection for £29, but since I don't know much about Hellsing I gave it a miss.

Forbidden Fruits are MINE!
Ah, Forbidden Planet...

...I loves it ^_^

I could have spent so much money on Saturday. The problem was that I did, but not on as much as I could have done, heh ^_^;

I resisted the urge to buy Trigun Maximum 5 or to start collecting any new series. TM4 left me rather cold, and I find the pictures rather hard to follow at times. I kind of bought it for the sake of knowing more about the story, but I don't particularly enjoy reading it. I might finish the collection and then sell them all together if they aren't something I find as enthralling as I'd hoped.

They didn't have any Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle in English, and that made me sad -__- I wants more Syaoran!

I did buy a Fire Emblem art book, though ^_^ It turned out not to be the GameCube one which disappoited me a little, but it still gives me lots of stuff to work from in terms of how Nazreal characters should look ^_^ A wise investment on my part, methinkies.

Standing Tall, Looking Pretty
This was what I finally bought. One of the friends I was with managed to convince me to go back and at least have a look at it (as I had only seen it on a clothes rack and didn't try it on, as much as I wanted to), and decide then whether I wanted it or not.

We drove back through Camden (...joy...) and three of us (my friend, my sister and myself) trudged back to the shop to look at it.

I'm so glad they were there, hehe. My sister was incredibly impressed with how good it looked, as was my friend. After a lot of consideration (technically it wasn't quite the right size, but looks great anyway), I bought it. An early combined birthday present to me from myself and my parents, hehe.

Here.

And if that wasn't enough,

Also here.

The reaons I'm not smiling is because it was sunny, disgustingly hot, I had hayfever, I'd overslept and was late, heh. But I felt pretty ^_^

I've never seen anything like it before, but I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to get it. It's not exactly for every day use, but I'd love wearing it whenever I got the chance, so it's no waste at all.

I can't wait for the London Expo, now. I have my costume ready ^_^ As far as I know it's not really like anyone specific, but I'll be damned if I care about that.

Onwards and Upwards
I spent most of yesterday with my karate sensei, talking about all sorts of things. Needless to say, next year's shaping up to be pretty interesting already ^_^

*hugs* Take care, everyone.
