RPGreatness!
Aside from the already lovely RPGs I'm in (which I'll be writing replies to tonight), I'm thinking of starting another. But the problem is I have loads of ideas and not enough direction as to which to choose and develop.

So, I am appealing* for your help ^_^

Basically, I'm going to type out my list of ideas, and (lovely people who visit and read my site) I would like you to say which you think is best. Mind you, some are about relatively obscure subjects, so I'm not expecting a huge turn-out. Just say which one you think sounds the most interesting.

Trigin: War of the Plants
Origin- The idea for this sprung from me watching the last episode of Trigun, where I began to wonder what the plants actually were, where they came from and how they'd managed to get to where they were. This is probably all explained in the Trigun Maximum manga series, but I haen't access to those. And I don't think they've all been translated into English yet >.>

Synopsis- in a technologically advanced world, a highly-evolved species of creatures exist. They are known as Plants. To the untrained eye, they look human. In reality, they are far from it. Each one is a living power generator, capable of emitting vast quantiies of energy in a very short period of time, making them perfect inhabitants for their technological world.

In their normal humanoid form they are able to live as any normal human might. But, since the planet is so dependent on technology, each plants must spend half of his/her life providing the planet with energy. Year-long shifts are taken in giant light-bulb-esque structures attached to gargantuan pyramids in the centre of cities.

This method was never questioned. The plants were too genial and logical a race to start deposing a perfect system.

A human, on the other hand...

A spacecraft carrying several human explorers crash-landed on the planet, killing most on board and also destroying a plant power generator. The plants, being such long-lived beings, had never had to deal with such a huge loss of life at one time before. And interaction with the humans would prove to be even deadlier.

The humans questioned the plants' whole structure of existance. Many believed it was against the right to live to spend your whole life trapped inside a bubble. "Free will should prevail," they argued. "It is the right of all sentient beings."

"But plants are not humans. We have no human rights."

Over time, some plants began questioning their logical existence, wanting to explore possibilities for their world other than merely giving energy to a world that only needed sustaining for the sake of sustaining. Others argued against this free-thinking, maintaining that without it, they would all die.

The arguments escalated, until one day when the biggest generator on the planet was decimated by a plant with a gun.

This is their story.

Thoughts- The story needs refining. It's not as crisp as it should be, and I know I can improve on it. I'm not sure how or what specifically to do, but given more thought I'm sure it'd be pretty good.

Nazreal: Legend of Devil Stalker
Origin- Nazreal is a series of my own creation. I was going to write an entire story about it, but ner actually got round to typing it up. It's still about, and something I still put a lot of thought into. This idea came t me when I was watching Kill Bill, although I'm not sure why. It's set before the original timeline of the Search for the Golden City (doomed *cries*) RPG.

For those that don't know, Nazreal uses Starfox-like characters; i.e. humanoid animals.

Synopsis- Years ago, a mage created battle armour with which he planned to vanquish his foes. It was a metal suit of black, crimson and deep purple. Magic spells had been cast into the armour itself- powers of flight, speed and strength.

But before the Mage had a chance to wear his armour into battle, he was brutally murdered by a gang of thieves. With his last breath, he trapped his own soul within the suit of armour. The murderers took the armour and gave it to their leader, who took it with pride.

As he put it on, a silence fell over the room. A deep voice echoed from the darkness, and the mage's soul took over the leader's body.

The next day, a horrible sight greeted the residents of the town where the gang was based. Their bodies had been torn apart and thrown over the buildings. In blood, written on the wall, was a stark warning:

"The Devil Stalker destroys all"

Years of terror followed. Everyone who came up against the Devil Stalker was killed. The Mage's spirit's lust for revenge was never sustained.

Until, in the city of Nazreal, a weapon was developed that could slice through the Devil Stalker's armour: The RuneBlade.

A younge warrior from Nazreal took the sword and lured the Devil Stalker into a trap. No-one knows what happened- all that was left was the blood-stained RuneBlade.

Years passed without any sign of the creature.

Now, once again, brutal murders have begun to occur...

Thoughts- Definitely one of my darker ideas. I like it, but there's still a little more story to explain. I didn't want to go too heavily into detail here; I didn't want to bore everyone, heh.

Starfox: Fall of Cerinia
Origin- Well, I've always been a Starfox fan and naturally after completing Starfox Adventured for the second time I began to wonder what Krystal's origins were, as well as the power behind her magic staff, which seemed to have the magical ability to open doors on a planet she'd never been to before o_o; I can fill in plot-holes with a little imagination, heh... I suppose it'd become very similar to Nazreal in a way, although almost the other way round. Not put much thought into this as yet. I was thinking of almost having two different RPGs rolled into one: two characters each for two different timelines in the RP. But I've not thought about it very much. I’ve had ideas for other SF RPGs, but this seems the most fruitful.

Anime Stereotype High School: Redux
Origin- Shy first created this RPG about a year or so ago, and in my mind it’s always been one of my favourites. Unfortunately, like Don’t Shoot the Goombas, it was done an extreme misjustice and died far sooner than it ought to. Well, it oughtn’t to have died at all, but meh. The idea’s simple, but greatness is wound within it.

As the name suggests, it’s a High School. For Stereotype Anime characters. Like, for example; ‘the badass’, ‘the reluctant hero’, ‘the giant rampaging robot with a mind of its own’.

Synopsis- Well, considering it’s a high school, there isn’t a goal much bigger than pass all your exams and/or get to the end of the year without fatally injuring someone though some complicated series of events and still having your social status in tact. So, I was thinking… finals/prom. But, there’d have to be a maniacal principal (last time played by Shy) with an evil plan to unravel at a suitable time.

Thoughts- I’d love to do this, and I’m sure it’d be popular enough to gain the right sort of applicants. Whichever wins the rudimentary opinion vote, I’d put this on regardless ^_^

Anime vs Game: Creations
Origin- Well, since anime and gaming are the two main non-generalised forums on OB (with the exception of Art and Design), I thought it might be interesting to see what would happen if you brought the two together in some comedic episode of some kind of war. Now, whether that’d be between the bad guys and goo guys of both formats or both genres attacking each other I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s an idea worth developing further.

The actual story possibilities are almost endless: I’ve thought about the PC game characters ganging up on the consoles; a band of megalomaniac anime baddies invading the world of games to find more people to beat up, or people like Mario getting too overenthusiastic with his plunger and inadvertently opening a door to another dimension in his toilet, thought which Bowser tries to invade yet another wodl and kidnap Princess Peach.

If Shinmaru’s interested, I was going to ask him to be another forefather of it, heh.

For that matter, if anyone wants to help out with some RPGs that I’d be happy to have someone along. I’m not doing these all at once, though o_o;

So, let me know what you think of ‘em- if there are any in particular you’d like to be a part of or see done.

EDIT: Changed quote in introduction. It's a nice one.

EDIT 2: 3,000 visits! Eee, landmarks are fun.

EDIT 3: Removed that celebrity-killing quiz- the size of the site was annoying me a little.
