Ah, something to blog about finally!
As 9pm PST came and went, I was thinking, "y'know, I should post tonight . . ." Problem was, I didn't really have anything to say. Just "work was boring," and "Rome was badass" and "car tomorrow because they didn't finish quite in time today" (erm . . . minus a day for both of those, being that it's now tomorrow/today . . . it's past midnight, whatever, you know what I mean).
So the cousin calls me over, says "Heroes" is on because it was - as she put it - "that show you wanted to watch." Yes, I haven't seen anything of "Heroes" yet. I've wanted to, but you know how it is going halfway in through a series . . . in any case, I figured I might as well check it out and see what I can piece together. So that was 9pm, my time.
Hour later, my cousin was completely confused (she sucks like that) and I was missing key things. Like . . . what Ali Larter's superpower was, or what the memory mystery with the blonde girl was . . . . . still, cool show, I can see why people like it.
So curiosity grows, I check out YouTube for potential clips or episodes . . . . lo and behold, episode 1 right there in 7 parts! So I watched, and it was good.
Then I watched the next episode, and it was good. Heh, "Faramir" kept going "BOOOOM!" in the chat window as I watched and was all upset that it took me so long to get to the end of the episode. Good times.
As we speak, it's just past midnight my time and I have part 1 of episode 3 queued up. Just figured I'd say something about it now before I go on and check this out. 'Cause yeah, "Heroes" is a cool show. Not that I ever doubted that or anything. Comments (7) |

Alright, I haven't totally failed yet . . .
Huh . . . my name doesn't show up on the byline yet. Ah well . . . we'll figure that one out later.
So yeah, as a couple people have mentioned, I'm on the News Team at theO now. I get to do DVD releases now. Scary, 'innit? Heh . . . as I've already mentioned to a bunch of people, I'm probably way in over my head now. Fun times we live in, eh?
Oh yeah, since Nikki reminded me . . . the car's pretty much fixed and we can pick it up on Monday. This pleases me being that I miss my all-wheel drive . . . I mean, Corollas are nice enough, but that Imprezza is just so much nicer . . .
That said, Nikki, I hope you find a good replacement for your own car soon enough.
Now I'm done.
[EDIT:] I got my byline now. Yayness and stuff. Here's hoping I kick enough ass to break free from just the screen name some day . . . but not this day . . . no, this day we shall rest . . . . . or go to work . . . or play Guitar Hero . . . or something . . . Comments (8) |

There must be news to talk about right now . . .
So yeah, Smallville was cool the other night. It was all Justice Leaguey and stuff. I think I might have to get back into watching that again.
Afro Samurai, same night, also pretty good. It's always fun to see a guy stab someone's eyes out with his fingers.
Bleach fillers are over! I can finally start watching that again after losing track of the Bountos . . . hey, what ever did happen at the end of the Bounto thing? Actually, y'know what? Don't worry about it. But damn, I need to get back into reading the manga. Back into reading manga for this and Naruto, I miss reading those . . . I gotta find me a nice big archive download somewhere, methinks . . . . .
Umm . . . . . for other interesting news, maybe keep an eye on the main page in the next day or two. Things might get amusing over there. Hopefully. Unless I fail. Which I won't. Although I might not pass especially well. In any case, we'll see . . . Comments (7) |

And so, getting back into shape begins . . . .
Got out to kung-fu last night finally for a serious practice. There was just another guy there and our sifu, so there was plenty of floor space to work out. In any case, I've got a long way to go . . . my endurance is gone and my abs are out of shape. My stomach was buckling when I was doing kicks and stuff, and believe me, you need that middle hinged bit to do most of the stuff you need to do.
So abs, endurance, and general better shape. I have a month to work on those before Chinese New Year. Our lion dance schedule's set for three different malls on the 17th, 18th, and 24th of next month (I only mention this here so I can look back and remind myself later. Yeah, I'll blog to remind myself of things).
And then as I left the club, it was snowing again. Fun. Let's see how many accidents we have this morning . . . . .
In other news, I'm apparently the podcast team's favourite podcaster. This amuses me for all kinds of reasons.
I also finally got on track with watching my Season 4 DVDs of "The Dead Zone". Gotta tell ya, there's some major Vancouverage this season. Heh, in one episode with an autistic kid ("Heroes and Demons") they even go into a skytrain pretending it's like a long-distance train - they even show the touch-screen fare machine that has pictures of loonies and toonies on the coin thingy! Good times . . . good show . . .
Rome was good . . .
Seriously top notch HBO right there, I tell ya.
But since that's brand new and you can't rent it yet . . . here, have a guy listening to the Star Wars Audio Drama:
That'll be all for now. Meantimes, remember that you always feel better about things that piss you off the next morning, even when you don't want to.
Also, remember that chain letters are bad and no one likes them no matter how bored you are. And I promise, send them to me and you will get very little quarter . . . . . but people sending me chain letters wouldn't understand that phrasing . . .
Send me chain letters and I will be annoyed, and I will take that out on you. Promise.
Oh sweet . . .
Season two of "Rome" starts tonight . . . yay! Comments (5) |

FINALLY got to practice!
Last night I finally made my way down to kung-fu. Learned what we're doing for a performance today (some sort of televised something-rather). Sifu wants me to wear my new green silk outfit for it. Should be fun . . .
I've been voice chatting with people a lot this past little while. Heh, it's like that's a sub-resolution for me or something . . . good times, good times.
Uhhhm, other than that . . . . . things are pretty straight forward. I have finally definitely confirmed that all 14 Christmas packages arrived where they were supposed to, so that encourages me to keep up with this sending things to far away people stuff. Work is work, nothing great, nothing horrible . . . just work. Annnnnd . . . I really need to go to the movies. Probably.
Oh yeah, I spent the entirety of "High School Musical" cleaning up my DVDs and PS2 games - y'know, that whole general TV area. And hey, don't look at me funny like that, there was nothing good on tv while I cleaned up and my brother did give it to me for Christmas as a gag . . . so hey, why now? It's horrid and really bad, but it's catchy. Y'know, like crack. Or something.
Snow again? What the hell?
So, a couple nights back I was chatting with Australia again, about people from kung-fu and all that (along with trying to figure out if my damn Christmas present to her arrived or not . . . freakin' vague people . . .). Well, as it went on, I mentioned how tomorrow night (yesterday night in this case) I wanted to go to the club and practice. There's a performance on Saturday I've been asked to attend, I need to brush up, and I also just wanna see everyone again. So I told her that I would force myself to go; that no matter how lazy I got, or how tired I might be, I'd get out there and practice . . .
. . . . . . then I came upstairs today after getting out of bed and saw a foot-high blanket of snow all over my backyard. What the hell?
So yeah, I didn't go to kung-fu. Every time I resolve to go, something stupid happens. It's getting a little ridiculous, I think.
Almost as ridiculous as chain letters, but that's another story . . .
. . . but yeah. Snow, on top of heavy wind storms that were knocking over trees which in turned were knowing out power lines which in turn killed street lights which makes for fun times driving home from work. Or for riding the bus, I hear those are sliding down the hills all over the place - sideways, even! Yeah, this is some messed up weather . . . messed up weather, and we're paying more for gas than anywhere else in the country . . . about thirty cents per liter more than freakin' Ontario . . . . . no justice.
Oh yeah, last week I picked up a wireless guitar controller for Guitar Hero 2. Cooperative mode is badass now.
I'm still getting no new evidence regarding the veracity of the "Mark Hamill was in porn" claim. A shame.
I sent Sangome a bunch of screenshots for her weekly caption battles. Hopefully they're decent enough for her, being that she's been complaining that no one sends her those anymore.
I still haven't talked about Christmas, have I?
If you haven't watched the video blog from the day before, go do that. Especially if you're Portuguese. I promise, it's worth it.
So what other cool stuff did I get for Christmas? More socks, more underwear (mother's consistent about these gifts for her boys), a new DVD-writer, a keyboard vacuum cleaner thingy, a set of books about British WW2 commandos, a book about Public Executions (rules so hard), sports backpack, water-resistant jacket-thingy, a pair of boots, a pair of runners, some other random bits . . . yeah, it was a good Christmas. Then I ruined it by breaking the car. Ah well, can't be helped . . .
Oh yeah, the autobody place is still waiting for the Subaru parts. Apparently those are hard to come by. Damn.
In other news, I'm making an interesting name for myself in the podcast comments now. You make one comment about social drinking and next thing you know you're pegged as a hung-over alcoholic. Then you comment about your skepticism of Mark Hamill's past in pornography, and then other people take it as a deep interest in pornography itself.
It's fun to be young, isn't it? Hehe . . .
Now for the record, though . . . . . it's not like I'm calling Ichigo the podcaster a liar or anything. I'm just saying that I need a little more evidence for his claim aside from Mr. Hamill's name on Playboy Magazine's "Sex Stars of 1977". After all, Muhammad Ali was on that same "Sex Stars of 1977" list, and this was a man who refused to go to war for religious reasons (and THIS kind of guy would be in porn as well? I don't think so). As for what might happen to me if it turns out to be true? Well . . . it won't change the way I live my life, that's for sure. Really, once you've seen "Tub Girl", nothing scares you ever again for the rest of your life.
So yeah, this should be fun . . . heh, gotta do somethin' interesting over there if I'm not gonna do my points scoring, nya?
Ooh, season two of "Rome" starts this week . . . good times . . . . .
Alright, I'm done. Have a good week, and for those of you going back to school . . . um . . . go to bed earlier? Comments (6) |

SomeGuy's Video myO: Episode 2
Yes, the video is flipped. Yes, it's ultra-grainy. Yes, I'm still blinking too much.
But you know you love it. And Alexa's in it this time.
