Up too late, stayin' up way too late . . . . .
Made another movie. This time I infringe on licensed music, however . . . on the other hand, I finally figured out how to import music into "The Movies", so life is gonna get all sorts of exciting here in. Seriously, it's too funny to have music from "Bleach" playing in the background to these things . . .

Here's the new movie, "Curse of the Obsidian", hosted on Rapidshare since it now exceeds 8 megs and the remaining free space on my Angelfire account. If you don't know what to do, click on "FREE" at the bottom, then wait for the countdown thingy to finish, then just type whatever the thing tells you to type in red:
http://rapidshare.de/files/8650174/Curse_of_the_Obsidian.wmv.html

And, if anyone feels like watching "Behind Hollow Lines" again, I put it on my Angelfire here again.

Oh yeah, I saw "March of the Penguins" the other day. It was wonderful in all sorts of ways. And yes, penguins chick are cute although prone to freezing to death and/or being pecked to the point of consumption by sea birds. The other parts are less disheartening, though. Other than that . . . . . nothin' too new. I should try to buy new Christmas lights today, though . . .

Random SomeGuy Trivia: While on the topic of Christmas lights, I have a weird aversion to those little icicle-style ones. I guess it was because the year they came out almost everyone got them . . . that, or they're just not colourful enough for my tastes . . . that said, I do wanna look into some LED lights, though, since those are more efficient and stuff . . .

Here I am, about to go to bed in my brother's office...
Ah . . . so Friday night, the brother calls home to ask if younger brother and I want to go out to "The Shark Club". Turns out there's some sort of Police thingy that's for children's charity or something. So, next thing I know I'm out 'til about 3am clubbing with my brother, his best friend, and one of my brother's squad mates.

I dunno, it was alright. I'm still not big on the whole clubbing thing, so I'm not too comfortable with it. Maybe if I was with some of my friends and stuff it'd be easier. Ah well . . . oh yeah, and I didn't get to pay for squat. Probably a good thing, but y'know . . .

Alright, I'd better put together these couch cushions so I can get some sleep tonight (for fairly obvious reasons I'm not driving home tonight regardless of how somewhat wired I actually am right now). I've gotta get home early enough to shower and then get ready for work, after all. Heh . . . meanwhiles, brother's friend is sleeping in the guest-room thingy with the fold-out couch-like thing, and the brother's squad mate is passed out on the couch downstairs. Hopefully we won't see vomit in the bucket next to him . . . or next to the bucket next to him, for that matter. Man . . . cops, I tell ya . . . . .

A'ight, oyasumi nasai, minna-san.

Random SomeGuy Trivia: For those of you who didn't know or didn't get it from the above post, my brother works for the Vancouver Police Department. It's rather interesting, I must say.
And yes, this was a total cheat seeing as most of you knew this already. Heh . . . it's late, what do you expect from me?

JadeLin!!! Hahaha!!! Yes!!!!!!
YET again, JadeLin has caught my ridiculously random and obscure reference. In this case, that Jean Luc Picard shouted "There are . . . FOUR lights!" at the end of a 2-parter where he got tortured all episode. Ahhh . . . this pleases me.

I wasn't planning on posting 'til after the time-change today, but I had to make mention now quickly. It's just good that way.

   There are . . . FOUR lights!
(If anyone gets THAT reference I'll be impressed . . .)

Made another one. This time it's a chick-flick called "Fullmetal Emotion". There's a Wilhelm scream in there, so I'm proud:

Anyway, today's the last day of classes, so I'm happy. Hopefully I don't sleep too late and miss some of it again. Might wanna know how the finals are gonna be and all that, after all.

Annnd . . . now I need to edit my brother's essay as required by his prof'. First time I've ever seen such a requirement before, but oh well. Ciao!

Random SomeGuy Trivia: Because of my background in martial arts, I consider myself pretty flexible and stuff. Compared with other people at my kung-fu club, though, my flexibility pales.
I can still punch really hard, though.

   And soon I can see the shooo-oore . . .
I made another movie in "The Movies". Again, I forgot to change the title and starring names from the default ones, so I was stuck with 'em for the subtitles. Anyway, this one's a horror film and involves a priest fighting zombies. Good times!

http://www.angelfire.com/ny3/someguy/sounds/beach.html

I'll try to make a comedy some time soon for you guys.

So let's see . . . I was . . . very, very . . . lazy this weekend. I feel like a jerk again. Luckily it's the last week of classes this week! And . . . then a month almost of nothing . . .and then two exams back-to-back. Yeah, things should be good here on in . . .

I didn't do squat yesterday, I got nothin'.

Random SomeGuy Trivia: When it comes to electronics, computer, or any sort of hands-on mechanical whatevers, I'm more often than not the go-to guy in my house. Which is a shame, considering I know basically jack all about any of these subjects.

[EDIT:] It's 1:48am and it's snowing right now. In November. In Vancouver. This rarely ever happens. Wow . . .

We are all rowing a boat of fate...
Forgot to mention this earlier. Bonus ice cream points go to Mimmi and JadeLin (who is great to see again!) for noticing that "paper sign on the door" quote came from a "Cream Filling and Nougat" story. I didn't expect anyone to get it, and they did. Congratulations, you two. You roxorz, yo.

I played on the piano for like, almost two hours today. Gotta say, there are some really nice perks to having no one else in the house for long periods of time. Yes, this parent-type vacation thing could be very good for my musical side . . . leave this as a note for the trivia bit . . .

Finally bought some more DVD+Rs. They were on sale at Superstore (25-pack for $9.98). It's nice to have hard drive space . . .

Heh, in an odd move on my part, I made an MSN chat with myself, Red, and "Faramir". As expected, "Faramir" got all flirty and stuff like he always does with girls (more of fun thing than a creepy one) and Red was in turn quickly put off by it. I was amused. In any case, it made for a fun Birthday surprise for her from VanCity.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, everyone needs to go to Red's page and wish her a happy 19th birthday if you haven't already. So yeah, happy 19th Narwa, it's a good year.

Curry is tasty.

Random SomeGuy Trivia: Yes, I play the piano. Nowadays I'm still pretty self-conscious about it, though, and usually only play when no one's at home. And, when they do come home, I stop and do something else.
But, since I've really wanted to learn "Life is Like a Boat", I've eased up on this particular rule a little bit. Still, with fewer people in the house in general this week or so, it'll be easier.

   The poinsettias . . . . . my god, they're everywhere!!!
So, being in the Home and Garden department at Superstore, it is no surprise to see poinsettias in the flower shop around Christmas time.
It is slightly surprising, however, when they poinsettias are also lining every side of the main display at the front of the store, sitting on two pallet displays next to the flower shop, and basically sitting on any flat surface the flower shop has left to give (or not give). For much of yesterday, my recurring line was, "there's like, five million poinsettias out there!"

Oh, so the other "Bleach" fan at work that's not me or "Boromir" saw the cardboard Zangetsu. He was quite pleased and indeed amazed that I even remembered to sculpt out the "bumpy bit" of the grip. He in fact asked me immediately when he saw me first what my next project would be for backroom anime sword making. Heh . . . I'm not sure myself just yet, but "Boromir" has already stashed aside a couple long boxes for future use - I think he was mumbling about Gundam Seed weaponry or something . . . he also threatened to start making a Zaku helmet out of a flower bucket . . . . . we can only hope that he's kidding . . .

You guys have any ideas what we should make next?

House is quiet tonight. Not too bad. Brother's at some party and is taking a cab back home late. I'll probably still be up just because. Heh, funny that suddenly I care a little more that he's out since the parents are off on vacation right now . . . meh.

And now just in case you missed it, here's a plug for my chart-topping film in "The Movies":

(Read the post below to hear my commentary about it!)

Okay, I'm done now. Have a good Sunday.

Random SomeGuy Trivia: When I wanted to quit piano lessons when I was 12 or so, my mom was fiendishly clever: if I wanted out, I had to tell the teacher myself that I wanted out.
As I recall, it actually took me a couple tries during multiple lessons to convey the message. I may have cried during the successful time, too . . . man, tricksy mother . . .

[EDIT:] Alright, I funked up my page somehow. Ignore the repost below this one.

Should be getting ready for work...
For the record, I slept about 12 hours that first night after the previous all-nighter . . .

It has just occured to me this moment that my parents are enroute to a Hawaii cruise right now. Once again, the house is under my jurisdiction. Rock on, methinks. Just so long I remember to take out the garbage Monday morning . . .

So yeah, I haven't been playing around as much as I had planned. Blame it on "The Movies". For those of you unfamiliar with this game, basically it's a sim-type game where you make a movie studio and, in turn, make movies. If that's still not enough for ya, here, take a gander:

http://www.angelfire.com/ny3/someguy/sounds/beach.html

So yeah, the picture is kinda hard to see because I made the movie in the mid '30s, so my type of film and camera sucks. Also, I forgot to rename most of the people in the credits - the other star should have been "Private Kon", but ah well. So yeah, this is what I've been up to lately.

And now, I must go get ready for another sad, sorry Saturday at Superstore. Ah well, at least I can re-tape the grip on the cardboard Zangetsu sword now . . .

Random SomeGuy Trivia: More often than not, after I wake up and shower and stuff, I'll go to the computer while brushing my teeth as an efficiency thing. So yeah, the image my stepdad usually sees of me first thing in the day is of my sitting at the computer, toothbrush sticking out of my mouth (like how I am right this minute, in fact).

Two down . . . to quote Darth Vader:
So let's see, here I am sitting at the computer. It's almost 3:45am, and I have spent the better part of the past . . . eight or nine hours writing 5-7 pages about 2 works of which I had read about half of. I gotta tell ya, it ain't the most fun way to spend a Wednesday night or Thursday afternoon. My fault, of course, I really should've gotten on top of this sooner. Buuuuuuut . . . heh, ya know. Lazy and stuff.

Anyway, the printer's printing it up right now. I had no interest in proof-reading the thing and to be honest I really don't care all that much. It's a bad way to go about it and I'm setting all the worst examples . . . . . but again, 3:45am. Not really too caring all that much-ish right now.

Seeing as it's 3:45am, I wonder if I should just stay up until I can go to school . . . hmm . . . . . I can always sleep for a bit once I get there . . .

Oh, so fun story about work. It mostly sucked because I somehow nailed a rather brutal heat-rash or something so I was all itchy and stuff for most of my shift. And then stupid people pecked at the remains of my calm.
On the plus side, I got around to constructing the cardboard Zangetsu which looks freakin' awesome. After getting home and looking at a real image of it, though, I need to be sure to fix the grip - I taped it wrong. It's also not black, but that'd involve a lot of Magnum felt work that I don't think any of us would want to go through. So yes, having Bleach swords in the back room at work is fun. If I can coax someone to take a cel phone picture or something, I'll be sure to share.

It's past 3:45am now. I should clean up my food and stuff around me. Have a good morning everyone, now. I'll be sure to play with you all really soon.

A small sign made from lined paper was taped to the outside of the office door. On it read the words "Men Not Wanting to get Fired Working: Do not Disturb" while the rest of the windows had blinds pulled down over them. From the men and women who were earlier able to get a glimpse of the interior, not a word was heard. Not a report was made, nor were any questions asked regarding the events that took place. The entire department was effectively ignoring the small office around the corner and the two men inside.

Random SomeGuy Trivia: Not including little times during band trips and stuff in high school, I have only ever had to really pull two serious "all-nighters" which I did last year. I mostly remember that I basically spent about 30+ hours of being continuously awake. That said, tonight marks my third . . . unless I decide to go to sleep . . . . . . I'll tell you guys if I do.
